Is there a chart that shows the proper size of bindings based on your boot size.  I can't find any information on this.

You can try the binding manufacturer's web sites, they typically have a size chart.  Be aware that some boots have a bigger footprint than others, I think Vans are fairly large.

Yes it really depends on the manufacturer of the binding. The number of binding sizes and the range of boot sizes they fit are all different.
The boot footprint becomes more important if you end up between sizes, often the best way to see what fits the best is to take your boots into a store and try them in the bindings.

Don't be afraid to throw up your bootie size and the binding you're interested in on here.  Most bindings/boot combos have been used by some member, and we'll be able to tell you if it will be a good fit.

If u r between sizes my rec is to go smaller size and get a boot with a smaller footprint if need be. Bindings with too much room is no bueno...

I also had experience with bindings that supposed to be in my boot size range but felt way too big with lots of room. Felt sluggish. So if you're in between binding size, go for the smaller one.

keep in mind not just length, but also width. Some boots have wide footprints and thus cannot sit flat on the base of the binding. On the other hand, some boots have narrow footprints and can slide side to side along the base of the binding. ideally the toe-box and heal of the boot can sit snug into the binding base, in contact with the sides of the binding
