^ Exactly.  The What Beer Are You Drinking thread was closed due to people abusing it.  Easy points.

For those who truly enjoy beer it was a nice place to discuss new beers that you have tried.  I'm still drinking IPAs and double IPAs.  Had a brown IPA the other day that was pretty good, called something like Short's Good Humans.

everyone has some type of complaint.  whether you've been here for a day or several years.  I see no issue whatsoever in resurrecting a thread that's relevant.  If you reply to someone who sold a binding 6 years ago and ask "how much shipped" well, maybe that's a little "asinine".  But beer is never outdated.

Besides living in northern colorado you (sideways99) are exposed to a plethora of microbrews.  we live in the microbrew mecca.  speaking of which, need to grab some odell's growlers soon.

I am still a wheat beer and porter fan.  Drinking a nice Hefeweizen after a day of riding is great.

I finally tried some Fireball Whiskey last week. Was really good but holy heartburn, batman! That shit reminds me of those little cinnamon candies that are smaller then a pea. Can't taste the whiskey at all.

I saw a show that talked about Colorado having a ton of microbrews. I guess it really is true. How far out can you find them. I live in Missouri so would there be a way to find them anywhere in the Midwest?

New Belgium should be available at several places.  They are pretty widely distributed.  Odell's is much more local, and of course Fort Collins Brewery mainly deals in just northern colorado.  A lot of the microbrews are extremely micro.  About the size of a house.  They mainly stick to the city.  I am not sure how wide of a distribution Left Hand has but their beer is also pretty good.

If you want a read about them

supposedly 8% of the nations microbreweries are in colorado.

They define who has the most (and how they're responsible for consumption) in many ways.  Being in Montana, we like the "Per Cap" method, that usually has us as #2 in the country. Big smile

My favorite beer is Pig's Ass Porter from Harvest Moon.  Very rich in malts, a dense mouthfeel with a clean finish.  slight coffee and toasted aftertaste....  and it's starting to make my ears itch when I drink it. Cry saaaaad panda.

I've been spending a lot of time in Red Lodge lately (where my mountain is located) and their brewery is faaaan-tastic too!  They have their Chocolate Porter on Nitro right now even! woo hoo!

Shorts generally makes great beer.

I live in San Diego, all sorts of great beers to drink here.  Something like nearly 100 breweries in the county now.

If anyone ever comes to St. Louis check out:
Tin Mill brewery
Highland brewery
Trailhead brewery

There's also a tap house that claims to have over 200 on tap but I call bs. There aren't a lot of microbreweries but if you're ever in town.

Chicks like those.

I've been drinking Maharaja (very hoppy imperial IPA) from Avery Brewing, it's an excellent IPA.

At the beach any alcohol will do. I like bringing Bud Light Limeritas. Or bud light platinum. Small cans filled with strong alcohol. I dont like bringing glass bottles. More difficult to carry home and more dangerous if the bottle breaks.

I used to like Irish car bombs. Haven't had one in a while just out of plain laziness. I just might have one... or 6.

Does anyone get tired of the alcohol (or specifically beer) ads on tv? Everyone knows what the mainstream beers are so what's the point.

Does anyone brew their own beer? My dad does and has it down to perfection. I've been contemplating doing it myself.

So do floral aromas allow you to keep you're man-card when drinking beer?

Being from San Diego I go to the various local breweries on occasion. Ballast Point, Stone, Green Flash, Ale Smith, Roughdraft, Lightning, etc.

To those of you that don't think Bananas and beer go well together...I give you this. It smells and tastes just like the name. Not something I drink normally but very good on occasion.

I had some Urban Chestnut (St. Louis) beer this weekend at their factory. One of the beers my dad had (Zwickel) had a banana aroma. I take back my questioning of banana and beer. They make a decent pair.

^ Hmmm, I'll pass on bananas and beer.

Had a few Titan IPAs last night from Great Divide Brewing Company.  Not as hoppy as many  IPAs I regularly enjoy but still had good flavor with a smooth, easy finish.
