So after my order for the 686 Smarty Soldier jacket got canceled (a good thing since I saw it in stores and it looks huge), I started looking around for another jacket. If you've been following some of my posts, I came across two L1 jackets (Waiting for the Blackout, Machine Gun Etiquette), but have been unsuccessful in obtaining them.

I browsed through some sites earlier today and came up with the following selection. A quick question though, I remember going into a store in Killington asking if they carried Billabong products and the guy stated they only supported 'real snowboarding brands' and they would never consider carrying Billabong. Why is there beef? The company owns Nixon which seems to have a great following here (Hoon).

Anyway, onto the jackets. I'm looking for something in white (maybe gray) that's not baggy. The Sessions jackets listed below states that they are a baggy fit, I'm hoping that buying a smaller size will be a good workaround. Any thoughts on the following brands / models?

Bonfire Optic Balance Snowboard Jacket $199.95 ($270)

Sessions Combaticon Snowboard Jacket $179.95 ($259)

Sessions Flipside Snowboard Jacket (free hoodie!) $129.95 ($189.95)

Billabong: Men's Trans AM Jacket $187.97 ($249.95)

Have you looked at Holden at all? their stuff tends to be more tailored. you can find several of their jackets from last year on sale if you look around.
They're not going to be as warm, for the most part, as the Smarty stuff. I have the 686 Smarty Troop Jacket from last year and the Holden Welt. Both great for different conditions. The Smarty stuff can't be beat for EC cold and my jacket isn't that baggy. You have to size down, or at least you did last year.

this place is bleak.

Bruizza, thanks for the heads up on jackets being on SAC. I totally missed the Combaticon. Angry

I just bought the Leatherneck off of SAC. I don't like the khaki accents, but since I have khaki Sessions pants, it'll match. My chest measures around 36" but since it's baggy I'm hoping to squeeze into a size small.

Evernod, the guy at Out of Bounds in Killington told me to look at Holden gear too. I liked the fit, but couldn't find any suitable jacket in terms of colors.

Hoon, I think I'll get a gray jacket, either the Bonfire of Billabong late in the season (hoping for the prices to come down). I already have a black Burton jacket (currently on loan to a sibling) so I guess I'll be trying out a jacket from each manufacturer. My main riding jacket right now is a 686.

Yeah that was actually the jacket my bro got this past weekend (leatherneck) got it confused with the combaticon so don't feel too Angry.  He got it in the mail yesterday and said it is freakin awesome.  Hope you like yours.  For 82.50 you can't really go wrong.
