i definitely prefer brighton over snowbird any day, but im a boarder. i think that you would be better off going to alta if you plan on skiing and noone in your group snowboards. every time ive been to snowbird, its been icey whereas brighton was packed powder the day before and after (even with no new snow). definitely check out brighton and solitude and snowbird if it continues to snow like it is now. check out this thread for a little more about utah from the last time i went

Word on that! then I'll make sure I two-plank then instead of board. I'm I Nor-Cal girl originally, so I 2-plank by trade. thanks guys!

True. For Snowboarding, I'd recommend Brighton and Park City Mountain. The Canyons, Alta/Snowbird, and Solitude has a lot of terrain that caters to skiing. Lots of steeps and bumps.

Just came back from Utah the other day. Conditions were amazing!!!!!! 1 inch of fresh dry powder every hour. I hit up Brighton/Solitude on day 1 and Snowbird/Alta on day 2.
There's a place called Canyon Sports where they sell discounted lift tickets.
