Saw Vampire Weekend over the weekend at Hollywood Bowl...

very solid live...wasn't sure if they could fill that space but they did...only thing that blew was show was only just over an hour.

News to all bands...when you play the Hollywood Bowl...play at least an hour and a half minimum...it costs a lot to see bands there, the parking is expensive, and you get stuck in the parking lot for at least 1/2 hour trying to leave.

^^^ How did you like Beirut live shwazy?  I'm a fan of the horns and stuff that they do.  Really liked Santa Fe when that was on the radio a lot last year

Half hour?
I've been stuck in parking lots for 2 hours trying to get out of a show.

^1/2 is best case scenario but it is stacked parking so it can be much worse.  Either way the bowl is a commitment of time and expense and an hour for a show is BS imo.

^^
didin't get there in time unfortunately so cant say...

Reasons why I like to either leave before or stick around for awhile after an event ends because no point in going nowhere.  LOL

Love Shack live is pretty awesome. Warning: the crowds at their concerts have a lot of middle aged drunk women that will claw at you no matter what you look like.

I'd like to see Queens of the Stone Age for the first time next month, but they're playing here in a festival type of concert with a bunch of other bands and the cheapest tickets are $52 each. Too steep I think.

$52 isn't bad for a festival ticket but theres gotta be other stuff there u wanna see cause they'll probably only have an hour time slot as opposed to two to three hours

Unfortunately I did not win the string cheese Mexico raffle at least I was one of the firsts to be eliminated so I didn't have to wait until the very end

Saw Macklemore wednesday night, he puts on a good show and pretty decent live (considering its rap).  Twalib kweli opening for him was cool bonus.
