Well, my Blink 182/Weezer show got pushed back until the 30th do DJ AM daying, we were supposed to see them this past Wednesday, but they decided to push it back so Travis could go pay his respects. So now I have to wait a few more weeks.

Tomorrow night, however, I am going to see Cold, and let me tell you, I am incredibly excited about this. I have been a Cold fan for years, and when they broke up a few years ago, I thought I'd never get to see them, but now they are back together and touring, and I get to see them. So you can bet that I will be front row, enjoying every second of it.
I killed Pat... again!

Jen, Cold is awesome. I'm jealous.

I saw the Mudvayne/BLS/Static-X/Suicide silence/Bury your dead concert. It was amazing. In my opinion, Static X was the best live. They sounded exactly the same as on the records. Mudvayne was alright, the singer just had to slow down a little on songs such as Dig. Wasn't too stoked on BLS other than Zakk is a great guitar player. All in all a great show.

I wanna see Blink 182 in concert, but no one will go with me. Cry But I recently saw Nickelback, Hinder and Papa Roach in concert. It was pretty good.

Went to the Bruce Springsteen concert here in Greenville. Never really been a big fan, but he can really put on a great show.
Even his enemy’s list him as there emergency contact.

Did people stop going to concerts?
Time to bring this thread back to life!

Got to see Muse last night in Boston. Such a great show and live band. Highly recommend this band to anybody who's anybody.
I break balls.

Good googly moogly talk about a thread resurrection...

I went to Aspen this week to see Modestep. The concert was cancelled 30 minutes after I got into town (~4hrs before the show). "Travel issues" was the response that Belly Up gave...found out two days later their tour bus broke down.

I didn't even know Muse was still around...been a bit since I've listened to them.

I went to With Your Friends Fest last October in Nashville....took my daughter for her 19th birthday. Skrillex, Pretty Lights, Santigold, Dillon Francis, Michal Menert, Tokimonsta, Nas, and a few other smaller openers. Two days of amazing freaking music. One night Pretty Lights was the headliner and the other night Skrillex was the headliner. They both put on freaking amazing sets. Will post pics later...

I haven't gone to a concert since I was a kid and it was only because the school gave us free tickets.  I don't even remember who even performed.  LOL
Sessions sucks hairy monkey balls, the end.

I haven't been to a show in ages either.

When I was younger we would go to a place called the Huntridge in LV

Saw many bands before they were famous.  Pennywise, Offspring, Korn, FYP., NOFX

Good times

I think the last show I went to was Cypress Hill, haha.

Canceled shows are the worst!

Yeah, Muse is still pumping out good tunes. They released a cd in 2011 with a few hits on it. Saw Skrillex last year. He's an awesome producer, but there are a bunch of videos on youtube with him not DJ'ing very well, at all. Being a dj, I suspect him of using a little "help". He either learned how to dj REALLY fast or he's using a prerecorded set. Seems suspicious to me that his sets are pretty flawless after the lack if skills seen on youtube.... but I could be wrong.

Skrillex's crazy alien spaceship set thingy...

Red Rocks has always been on my bucket list for a concert...and after seeing Pretty Lights during this fest, it's changed to Pretty Lights at Red Rocks on the bucket list. That should be an easy accomplishment...he's from CO, and he played 2 days at Red Rocks last Fall.

This fest was the weekend before Halloween....PL & Skrillex both came out semi-dressed up for it. Skrillex was in a black skeleton top/bottom, PL wore a mask...and my daughter's friend caught it when PL chucked it into the crowd! (and yes my shirt lit up along with my wig heehee)

Pretty cool pics, mommehK. Have you seen the documentary RE:GENERATION? Pretty Lights and Skrillex (along with other dj's/producers) remix songs from a different genre and PL debuts is remix at Red Rocks.

Probably will have fewer lights and less smoke, but we're heading downtown to see Anne Akiko Myers with the reno phil tonight -- she's a bad ass, I'm kinda looking forward to it.

Not that keen on the lineup this year, but will still get tickets to Splendour in the Grass this weekend probably.

Debating on whether or not I want to try to go to Tomorroworld in September or not. Pretty friggin sweet lineup started already, and it would mean I wouldn't have to head to Europe to go to Tomorrowland instead.

Decisions.Decisions.

What happens with a cancelled show? Do u get refunded for the tix plus all the added fees? That sounds horrible if that is all because what about people who had to get a plane ticket and or hotels. Now they just paid for flight tix/hotel for nothing. I can't imagine being in that situation and staying calm

Went to an outdoor, free show last night at a park.  It's part of this fundraiser series that is in its 16th year here.  otherwise known as: it's well established.

We saw the Mission Mountain Wood band.  Kind of old royalty in Montana.  My Dad was a couple of the guys' roomate back in college, so we've grown up with them and their alter ego- the Montana Band.  Damn good sound for 40 years plus now!

Anyhoo... we got there super early to get a shady spot in the back, cause one of us just had knee surgury last week (don't worry, she'll be ready for the snow season), and one of us was 92 years old and it was 95 degrees...

When the show started, some old piles of junk started bitching at us to be quiet cause they couldn't hear.  can you believe that noise?  it took everything i had to not go off on them.  my wife... well... she shot back with enough snark to make up for it. LOL

moral of the story: if you're an old piece of shiz, and you can't hear at a free concert... move closer to the stage.

The last concert I went to was Testament/Megadeath/Slayer in south SF at the Cow Palace. We got up close to stage left, where Kerry King was dominating his solos. It was an amazing show. Fights were breaking out because the beer line was too long. And outside, there were bible pushers with homemade signs warning us of the evils of the 'devil's music'. Hilarious!

last concert i went to was black sabbath. i was really worried how ozzy was going to sound but besides some of the high notes he was pretty much all over it and didnt miss a single line. the rest of the band were perfect, so good and so evil. finally get to cross that off my list.

Saw Cake and Incubus at the DC 101 Chili cookoff a year ago. That was pretty epic. I used to be a big incubus fan but I don't listen to them as much anymore.

In november I'm seeing paramore and metric at the Patriot Center. I'm so hyped for that concert.

S.C.I.E.N.C.E-era Incubus is really good. The following records were decent  but def not as good.

I want to go to the Ok One Rock concert during my trip to Japan but I bet seats are limited and it's probably already sold out.  Otherwise I haven't been to a concert since middle school.  LOL
Sessions sucks hairy monkey balls, the end.

I went to The Killers in Wembley stadium in London last month. Perhaps the most amazing night of my life. Simply outstanding performance.

I saw The Killers in Vegas a few years ago, they put on a great show.  Good times.

I saw Shakey Graves the other night in San Francisco. So good live!! He said it was his first time playing in the Bay Area and it was so cool to see the expression on his face when tons of people were singing along with him.
