My first trip of the season is Breck/Keystone in November. Got an amazing deal on lodging and lift tickets (check out the web specials online). They open Nov 10 and already got two feet of snow in September!

When they get enough snow to open. Most resorts in the PNW don't rely on snow making so you have to wait for the heavens to dump the fluffy stuff. |

My Uncle used to live right by there. It was just a little hike up from his place. |

I want to try to head out to Colorado this year. I think a pas* to Heavenly gives you two free days to either Vail, Keystone, Breck or Beaver Creek. So I am hoping I can take advantage of that this year. |

its small but the beast early season mtn is Mt High in socal. They can onpen their entier mthn before it evben rains down there. becuase it dosnt snow very much, they make thier jumps out of dirt in the summer and so they dont have to pile upo so much snow. the place is off the hook opening day.

If you live out west and can go to one of the participating locations, Copper has the killer deal of 4 lift tickets for $89. And they open on 11/5!!!

There are two locations to go in socal. one it San Antion mtns that have resorts. Mt High. (all park three differt mtn, west, east and north) www.mthigh.com The there is Mt Baldy. This is the baest place to ride pwder in Cali when it has it. It is just so rare that it very underated. but ask anyone who as riding in in power will agree. reall good terrain. no park though.
Both these mtn are 30 mintues away from LA
Then there is Big bear area which is about 2 hours from LA
They have about 6 or 7 small resorts in that area. Most popular is Bear Mtn. and Snow Summt,
as much as people like to think.. Mammoth and June are not in so cal.
