K2 Summer High Cascade Snowboard Camp Video

October 30th, 2006

Bryan Fox and Austin Smith have been holding it down for K2 by doing the digging duty all summer long at High Cascade Snowboard Camp. That plus the Gretchen and Wille signature session has made a mark for K2 Snowboarding. High Cascade Snowboard Camp is right in the backyard of TruSnow.com. We encourage everyone that goes to camp to come by and visit us, even if it is for the free coffee and stickers TruSnow will throw your way.

The Science of Ride Slimewalls

October 30th, 2006

Ride’s exclusive Slimewall, now found on all Mobility boards, offers extra-smooth damping durability.

The 90A Durameter Urethane sidewall is more forgiving than standard sidewalls and absorbs the impact of rails that other sidewalls can’t. Just like your skate wheels, the hardness of the sidewall, or Slimewall, fine-tunes the way your board interacts with the snow, wood or metal surfaces you slide on. If you ride rails you need Ride’s Slimewall Technology.

Salomon Rider David Benedek Receives Award

October 30th, 2006

(Salomon Snowboards, P-Town OR)

Salomon/Bonfire rider, David Benedek, received the Standout Performance of the Year Award last night at the Transworld Rider’s Poll Awards. Benedek was nominated for his 1260 double cork at the Red Bull Gap Session. The awards event was held in San Diego, at the venue On Broadway, and presented by Transworld Media. Unable to attend, Benedek sent in an acceptance video with footage of his new trampoline training routine and some very up close shots of him in his tight fitting training uniform. David’s riding stands out from all the others on a consistent basis. Last year, Benedek received the prestigious Rider of the Year, nominated and voted on by the snowboard community.

Salomon Snowboards had the strongest team representation with a total of three riders nominated for awards. Jamie Anderson, age 15, was nominated for Rookie of the Year for outstanding results and riding this year. Torah Bright, known for her huge McTwists, was a contender for Female Rider of the Year. Salomon team has been recognized as one of the strongest in the industry.

Check out the New Outerwear Looks for 2007

October 2nd, 2006

To make it just a little easier for everyone out there we have added a new feature to TruSnow called “Looks for 2007“. This is our attempt to help our customers pick an outfit that was just made to go together. Sometimes we even throw in a goggle and beanie recommendation for kicks. With this new view you are able to see all the outerwear outfits laid out next to each other and have the ability to click in and add the jacket and pant you want to your cart at the same time. It is just a simple straight forward way to shop for outerwear without all the guess work.

We have a couple outfits up for the guys with more to come and women’s outfits shortly after that. To find the “Looks” section on the website simply click the “OUTERWEAR” text at the top of the website and then click on “Looks for 2007″ located in the left-side navigation.
