5/7/2009 1:00:48 PM This is getting annoying.  A woman last week killed a guy on a motorcycle that she plowed into because she was doing her nails.  She was charged with "Reckless Driving".  Portland has had more deaths in the past month than I remember all of last season, and its not even sunny yet. Link to the nailpainting incident http://abcnews.go.com/US/story?id=7508040&page=1 I'm signature 5627 http://www.petitiononline.com/sabiker/petition.html I recognize riding is inherently dangerous, but the fact that the punishment for taking another persons life due to carelessness is ridiculous.
5/5/2009 1:26:51 PM You should try it http://www.hookedonphonics.com/1555?gclid=CPLDtbqBppoCFRYiagodLwLJ-A
5/4/2009 1:50:41 PM Haha, I know Geo' is going to take this as an opportunity to thread jack me back, but thats ok. Figure we have enough MotoGP and WSBK fans, as well as guys who are about to hit riding season that we might as well start discussions here.  Its that time of year when my boards go away and I start riding again.  Looking forward to a track day on May 20th at PIR, I know Bru' should have a Lee Parks class coming up soon as well. Post up your scoots, ride spots or race news! Oh, and to start off, did anyone see this absolute crap about GP2's new engine rule for 2010? http://hellforleathermagazine.com/2009/05/honda-named-official-engine-su.html So all the manufactures will be required to use a spec Honda engine?  How much you want to bet everyone pulls out of that pretty fast, no way Yamaha is going to make a race machine with a Honda engine in it.  Aprilia, ktm?  No way. I honestly think GP's are in for a world of hurt in the coming years and WSBK and WSST are going to reigh supreme.
5/3/2009 2:16:27 PM 250's at 2pm west coast time (right now), GP bikes are at 3pm on speed.  In hi-def if you got it too!
5/3/2009 11:12:04 AM Someone hacked mine and my GF's email accounts and are sending out spam.  None of the virus filters I have are catching it, do I need to go through and change all my passwords now?
4/30/2009 6:01:34 PM I know you take everything from them as gospel! http://www.nrahq.org/nrabonus/accept-membership.asp FYI - I am pro gun, but I put the NRA right up there with Jesse Jackson as some of the largest producers of bullshit in the world.
4/30/2009 2:01:41 PM I LOL'd Fifty Years of Teaching Math 1957 - 2009 Last week I purchased a burger at Burger King for $1.58. The counter girl took my $ 2 and I was digging for my change when I pulled 8 cents from my pocket and gave it to her. She stood there, holding the nickel and 3 pennies, while looking at the screen on her register. I sensed her discomfort and tried to tell her to just give me two quarters , but she hailed the manager for help. While he tried to explain the transaction to her, she stood there and cried. Why do I tell you this? Because of the evolution in teaching math since the 1950s: 1. Teaching Math In 1950s A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100. His cost of production is 4/5 of the price. What is his profit ? 2. Teaching Math In 1960s A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100. His cost of production is 4/5 of the price, or $80. What is his profit? 3. Teaching Math In 1970s A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100. His cost of production is $80. Did he make a profit? 4. Teaching Math In 1980s A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100. His cost of production is $80 and his profit is $20. Your assignment: Underline the number 20. 5. Teaching Math In 1990s A logger cuts down a beautiful forest because he is selfish and inconsiderate and cares nothing for the habitat of animals or the preservation of our woodlands. He does this so he can make a profit of $20. What do you think of this way of making a living? Topic for class participation after answering the question: How did the birds and squirrels feel as the logger cut down their homes? (There are no wrong answers, and if you feel like crying, it's ok. ) 6. Teaching Math In 2009 Un hachero vende una carretada de maderapara $100. El costo de la producciones es $80. Cuanto dinero ha hecho?
4/22/2009 1:26:42 PM Interesting idea..........Kinda like the Southpark episode where they sent all the homeless people from town to town http://www.nytimes.com/2009/04/23/business/global/23immigrant.html?_r=1&WT.mc_id=fb_nyt99&WT.mc_ev=click
4/19/2009 1:37:27 PM Still another hour or two to go!  Gotta run to the store and get some Grape pop though.

4/15/2009 6:05:55 PM Starting the move into my other house.  Theater room gets set up next.  Watch these forums for the new and improved Shakazulu fitness thread, its going to be ugly, and I'm even going to post progress pics with no shirt on for public ridicule, but I am determined to get back in shape!
4/12/2009 11:02:20 AM Can't wait, its actually being broadcasted the same day of the race at least.  I'm more excited about WSBK this year, but watching Rossi is going to be a ton of fun.  10 pm eastern on Speed if you have it, and in HD as well!
4/10/2009 9:24:23 AM I figure with all the talk about asian names, dirty asians, and Pho, that we should have a proper Pho introduction for those that don't know. [FLASH width=400 height=300]http://www.youtube.com/v/N4Kjq4sGO44[/FLASH]
4/10/2009 8:01:27 AM It was love at first sight!  Now I can BBQ and chill at Starbucks at the same time!  (This meant as a joke, no mancard violation has occured, I do not hang out at Starbucks on my motorcycle with Bru')
