2/19/2009 11:55:12 AM Welcome!  Now post pics!
2/19/2009 11:15:38 AM Geezus, did I miss anyone? Welcome ladies and feel free to post your beautiful mugs
2/19/2009 10:14:43 AM Welcome the hotness!!!! Feel better now?
2/17/2009 8:03:25 PM I figured our first focus on a new series of articles that will soon grace our illustrious forums should be a focus on our resident expert of all things dirty and hippy.....Kimchi'.     Kimchi's name is always shortened on the board, beause nobody actually reads far enough to know what it really is.  He enjoy's snowboarding in a dress, and his favorite sports drink is bong water.           who am I kidding, I just wanted to post this pic
2/13/2009 3:26:31 PM Seriously, why didn't I think of this first?  Has measurements and everything http://www.chickipedia.com/
2/10/2009 10:58:58 AM Always interesting to see what people have on there.
2/8/2009 3:39:18 PM Seems like everyone is going down.  My back is KILLING me right now.  For some stupid reason, for the first time in probably two years, I decided to ride with no armor or butt pads at all today.  I was up alone and just felt like dorking around all day, and didn't count on there being so much awesome groom and hardpack, which led to racing around as fast as possible. Then there wasn't much of a line for the first time in wees in the terrain park........Then I decided to hit a spine with a barrel on top of it and right off the top part.  I didn't realize how much speed I was getting, the snow was really fast today.  Anyhow, massively overflew everything and landed on a flat in a heap. The drive home was horrible, I had to stop every twenty minutes to stand up and stretch my back, and I'm pretty much locked into one spot on the couch right now and downing two year old vicodin's to get by. No idea if gear would have saved me or not, but for those on the fence about wearing protective gear, first time in two years that I have had a bad injury and it just happened to be when I didn't wear any gear. Ok, I admit it, this was a freak masturbating accident
2/6/2009 4:36:32 PM I call the community together to discuss this little gem right here.  I am keeping this short and simple.  I present you the evidence
i'm not into brutal bdsm :)
2/6/2009 12:49:20 PM Oregon Introduces Bill to Prohibit Sale of Aftermarket Parts At the request of Governor Theodore Kulongoski, the Oregon Speaker of the House has introduced legislation (H.B. 2186) to prohibit the sale and distribution of aftermarket motor vehicle parts if alternatives are available that “decrease greenhouse gas emissions from motor vehicles.” The bill is primarily focused on aftermarket tires and would authorize the Environmental Quality Commission to implement enforcement regulations, likely based on a rolling resistance calculation. We Urge You to Contact Oregon Speaker of the House Dave Hunt and Members of the Environment and Water Committee (Contact Information Below) Immediately to Request Their Opposition to H.B. 2186 H.B. 2186 would regulate vehicle fuel economy, an authority reserved to the federal government. H.B. 2186 could ban tires that may have improved performance, handling or appearance features, based solely on a rolling resistance rating. In addition, this program could easily distract consumers from focusing on more important safety issues such as tire inflation and overloading of vehicles. H.B. 2186 would force consumers to purchase only original equipment manufacturer (OEM) tires because the program essentially exempts OEM-selected tires and unfairly implies that they are superior to aftermarket products. H.B. 2186 could prohibit aftermarket parts designed to either personalize or optimize specific vehicle performance attributes including handling, towing, suspension, fuel economy, etc. H.B. 2186 provides broad authority to government regulators and could limit a range of aftermarket parts currently available to consumers based on the subjective determination of government regulators.
2/1/2009 8:44:50 PM Anyone else been dying laughing over this today?  I keep waiting for someone I know to show up on this show.
2/1/2009 5:02:39 PM Just got done after a full day with the Jam that I demoed from a local shop.  it was a 157.  I'm 5'11" 165lbs, size 10 Burton SLX's on a medium set of Burton Triads. Conditions were hardpack, just above 30 degree's or so with a very light dusting on top of the surface in some places, and some windblown stuff in others.  Basically it was a day to bomb the runs and carve.  Only one park built and I never bothered to wait in line to hit it, though I kinda wish I had. Turn initiation is the first thing I can comment on.  It is buttery smooth, even more so than on a banana board.  Totally natural.  One thing that I noticed right off the bat is that riding switch was much easier.  I can not ride black runs switch.  I can bomb at pretty high speeds and do some general carving action, but there is no way I'm hitting a tree run and busting moves left and right.  Anyhow, I felt totally confident laying it from side to side and whipping it around the same way I would riding regular.  On to the bad parts.  Some asshat decided to detune the entire board pretty majorly.  Further inspection of the base revealed that this board has been used as a jib stick quite a bit.  I did not discover this until a really high speed turn on some hardpack when I lost the edge.  Thinking it was my fault, I dialed up the speed and the same thing happened.  Initially I thought it was something to do with the board design and was all set to be pissed off and not ride it anymore, but the inspection of the edges revealed the likely cause. As such, I'm going to have to get another run on one.  Strangely enough, I could still get a pretty mean carve on with the edges being rounded.  It has not snowed in several weeks, and most of the natural features were gone, plus there was a big line around the park that I simply didnt feel like dealing with.  So I have no comments regarding jumps etc, which I really wantd to try.  I would say the board was mid-stiff, very similar to my old Trice, which I have always said was the perfect flex for an all around board for me.  The board felt great though, and it was SUPER FAST!  I mean like lightspeed fast, point it and chase down skiers with a smile while riding switch.  That seems to be a common theme based on other comments. I will try and score a ride on one that hasn't been butchered soon.
1/31/2009 2:08:25 PM Got this in the mail today.  Why do they have to take a pic that makes me look like I'm up to something?
1/30/2009 9:13:30 AM I am!!!! I must admit, I have done it for three years in a row now.  Its AWESOME!  Nobody at the mountain and totally chill.  For some reason I'm just not into the Superbowl like I used to be, I don't even follow football anymore and its a perfect day to just mess around and have the whole mountain to myself. Who else is skipping the superbowl to ride?
1/29/2009 1:22:44 PM Do they make the seasons on DVD?  I can't seem to find much online, but it doesn't make sense that they wouldn't sell them. I'm watching the American Muscle car episode while I work right now and its killing me.  I love this show.  They are making fun of Hammond for being a closet American.
1/25/2009 8:03:08 PM Looking forward to this tonight! [FLASH width=400 height=300]http://www.youtube.com/v/Z37G8kjhFxE[/FLASH] I actually don't watch much Anime.  However I will pretty much watch anything that involves Samuel L. Jackson kicking ass, and the first one was pretty awesome
