8/3/2009 10:54:46 AM I have the right hair for it.  It's really thick and stands up pretty well.  I've been getting a lot of pressure from my brothers to do it. no hawk rockin' the hawk one more option
7/30/2009 12:55:31 PM while in chat, myke mentioned that he was hungry.  i then went on to explain that i ate a whole pizza for lunch.  others chimed in mentioning their delicious foods that they had and myke became jealous of our full stomachs.  later on, myke said, and i quote, "hunggrrrryyyyyy".  i then said "mmmm pizzaaaaaa" and began a google search to mess with myke and post a bunch of delicious foods on the forums.  my entire plan was stopped when i came across this picture that just so happened to be the very first image when searching for "delicious food" on google.  so, instead of posting pictures of delicious food, i give you this myke. enjoy.
7/30/2009 11:33:05 AM I plan on getting a car in a couple months.  It will be my first time purchasing a vehicle, so I want to make sure I'm getting a good deal.  I want to keep the price at $3000 or lower.  I also want it to be reliable with good gas mileage.  I'm thinking of getting a Honda or Toyota, but anything of good value and quality will fit the bill.  Preferably i want a Subi, but that's most likely not going to happen for $3000 or less.  Any tips on car buying or suggestions on which car to buy?  Any constructive input would be great.
7/11/2009 11:02:55 PM I've been looking for a car recently and was browsing craig's list to see if i could find anything.  After some searching i found a 2005 Mazda 6 s for $3,000.  At first i was skeptical, but i thought i'd contact the seller to see if it's the correct price.  Pictures looked great and specs sounded good.  only 42,000 miles.  You may have already guessed what came next. Here's the email i got back from the "seller": First of all I want to thank you for your interest for my car. I sell it at this price($2,980.00 ) because i'm in a divorce with my husband. Now the car is in my property and as a women i don't need it. This car is in excellent working conditions, no scratches, flaws or any kind of damage, slightly used in 100% working and looking conditions and comes with a clear title. From the beginning you have to know that for the payment I request only secure pay, I prefer the payment to be done using eBay services. We will use a safe payment method because I am affiliated at eBay and I have a purchase protection account for $20,000.00 The final price that I want for this car is $2,980.00 including shipping and handling. If you are interested in buying it please provide me your full name and address so I can initiate the deal through eBay. I will wait your answer very soon. Heather Barrese Clearly a scammer.  This shit pisses me off and it was the first time i've run into a scammer.  Oh well, i knew it was too good to be true.  The listing has already been flagged and taken down.  FML.
7/10/2009 12:54:17 PM I'm selling my black M/L Union Forces.  They're in excellent condition and have been ridding 2 or 3 times.  I'll post pics asap. $95 or best offer.  Shipping will be at your cost. PM if you're interested.
7/5/2009 10:36:58 PM We have a few threads of people showing off their meat...so here's mine.  Every year my best friend's brother hosts a pig roast in his honor.  His birthday is on the 4th.  This year was better than ever.  Here's some pics for you to drool over. the pig getting slow roasted.  we used a combination of charcoal and hickory wood chips soaked in a beer and spice mixture. the birthday boy with one rack of pig ribs, dowsed in sauce. closeup of the ribs. we dowsed every inch of the pig in our sauce.  the sauce was made from 8-10 bottles of sweet baby ray's and about 6 or 7 bottles of beer.  the sauce was then roasted on the grill and caramelized a little until thick enough. no sides.  just pig.  that's all you need. hope you enjoyed the pics.  i encourage everyone to post pics of their 4th of july feasts.
6/18/2009 11:13:34 AM Who here has heard of the UFL? (http://www.ufl-football.com/home)  It's basically a hand-me-down football league.  They use the same rules as the NFL and their first season is this fall, competing with the NFL.  Personally I think it might do a little better than arena football if it can get broadcasted nationally, especially if they get Vick to sign with them.  Right now there's 4 teams playing in 7 cities, but they're hoping to get bigger.  It will be interesting to see how it does.  I think it's a better idea than arena football.
6/8/2009 8:59:37 PM I've always been a huge fan of Charlie Murphy and he pretty damn hilarious on his new website.  He plays the role of Leroy Smith, the man who motivated Michael Jordan in 10th grade after beating him out for the last spot on their highschool basketball team.  You may have seen the commercials on TV, but here it is: www.getyourbasketballon.com
5/18/2009 10:16:17 AM My sister sent me this cute picture of my niece so I gave it a caption.  I thought I'd share it with you all and create this thread.  Post your funny baby pictures of yourself, friends, or family.  Captions are optional.  Here's my niece.  I used the icanhascheezburger.com lol builder for the caption:
5/5/2009 11:10:44 AM I got this in an email this morning: A big 'Heads up' for those men who may be a  regular at Home Depot . Back in March, I became a victim of a clever scam while out shopping. Simply going out to get supplies has turned out to be quite traumatic. Don't be naive enough to think it couldn't happen to you or your friends. Here's how the scam works: Two seriously good-looking 20-21 year-old girls come over to your car  as you are packing your purchases into the back of your SUV or Truck. They  both have battery powered car vacuums and start vacuuming the inside of your vehicle, cleaning the inside of your windshield with a rag and Windex, with their breasts almost falling out of their coats. It is impossible not to look at them. When you thank them and offer  them a tip, they say, 'No' and instead ask you for a ride to McDonalds or the closest fast food restaurant. You agree and they get into the back seat. On the way, they start undressing. Then one of them climbs over into the front seat and starts crawling all over you, breasts everywhere, while the other one steals your wallet. I had my wallet stolen on March 4th, 9th, 10th, twice on the 15th, 17th, 20th, the 24th and 29th. Also on April 2nd & 8th, twice on the 10th,  three times last Saturday, and very likely again this upcoming weekend. So tell your friends to be careful. P.S. Wal-Mart has wallets on sale for $1.99 each.
4/28/2009 12:13:16 PM I know there's already an Xbox 360 thread, but this is more specific and will focus mainly on COD4.  I created this thread so we can coordinate times to play with others in the SS community, and to discuss strategy, gear combos, etc.  I think what we should do is have everyone post their most available times to play, and then we'll decide on a date and time from there. To get a list of everyone's Xbox Live gamertags and post your gamertag if you haven't already, please go to this thread: http://www.sierrasnowboard.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=5729 Once a good amount of times are posted, I'll create a loose schedule that we can follow to meet up online and play. Also, I am proposing that we have everyone set their clan tag to [SS] so that we can be recognized by everyone, since we're obviously going to kick ass. Any and all discussion on COD4 and related topics is welcome here. EDIT: When posting your times, please include time zone.                                                                                                                                COD4 Schedule (subject to change): Sunday 8:00 EST/7:00 CST/5:00 PST Tuesday & Thursday 9:00 EST/8:00 CST/6:00 PST Saturday 3:00 EST/2:00 CST/12:00 PST These times are the tentative starting times to try and have everyone on at the same time.  The schedule is very flexible and can be changed to satisfy everyone if it doesn't already.  Let me know if you think it needs any changes or additions.
4/21/2009 2:36:30 PM I'm making a poster in my tech writing class, and i though it would be cool to have a member of the SS community shredding in the backround of the poster.  If you want to be on the background of my poster, post your best pic of you shredding, and i'll give 100 points to whoever posts the best picture!
4/16/2009 1:30:15 PM I'm interested in taking up freebording for the summer months when i can't snowboard.  Since i'll be new to it, i don't want to spend a lot on a deck.  Does anyone have a freebord that they're willing to sell to me?  I need a size 77.
4/14/2009 12:36:36 PM i'm bored at work, and going through all the various forums i'm part of, i came up with this idea for a thread.  basically list the top 5 reasons the world is going to end in 2012, according to you.  try not to be boring, and i don't wanna hear anything about politics or religion.  also, global warming doesn't exist. here's mine: 1. Products like the Snuggie are actually selling. 2. My favorite sports stars are twittering. 3. SS keeps having awesome prices, which will lead to everyone being poor.  It's bittersweet. 4. UPS lost Bruizza's Vapor.  What's next? 5. Ski resorts are shutting down due to the recession.
4/10/2009 12:09:20 PM VZ Feenom The Feenoms are an excellent goggle.  If you're looking for an excellent quality goggle with an awesome look to go with it, VZ Feenoms are a great goggle for you.  Just as any high-end goggle, the Feenoms have excellent anti-fog abilities.  The Feenoms have a silicon lines strap, which helps the strap stay put either on your helmet or just on your head.  The helmet hinge doesn't flex as much as I thought it would, but it does flex a little, allowing for a better fit on your helmet. Size: The Feenoms are a fairly large goggle.  They fit a medium to large face.  Vision: Feenoms have an excellent range a view, so there will be no problem with obstruction of vision. Helmet-to-goggle fit: As far as helmet-to-goggle fit, the Feenoms are pretty good, but you may need a goggle gasket depending on what helmet you have. Overall: Feenoms get an A+ rating overall from me.  If you have a large enough face to fit these goggles, there is no reason why you shouldn't get them, other than price. Electric EG2 The Eg2's are equally as good as the Feenoms, with some differences.  The look and feel of the goggle is great, and they will never fog up as long as they fit you.  The differences from the Feenoms include: No silicon on goggles strap, so the strap may not hold as well as the Feenoms. No helmet hinge.  While this shouldn't pose a problem as far as fitting with the helmet, it may be less comfortable than the Feenoms with a helmet. The EG2's are slightly larger vertically.Size: Slightly larger than the Feenoms, especially vertically.  The difference is about .5 to 1 cm.  The EG2's fit a medium to large face, but more on the large end. Vision: Just as the Feenoms do, EG2's have an excellent range of view. Helmet-to-goggle fit: Pretty good, but you may need a goggle gasket. Overall: I personally like the VZ Feenoms more, so the EG2's get an A rating overall from me.  The only reasons for the lower rating are the lack of a goggle hinge and a silicon lines strap, that I really like about the Feenoms. Conclusion: Overall both goggles are worth buying if you can afford them and they will fit your face.  Both have excellent range of view and anti-fog abilities.  Both look awesome, so you can't go wrong there.  If I had to choose one over the other, I would choose the VZ Feenoms.  Luckily I have both, so I don't have to make that decision!
