2/20/2012 12:33:39 PM A couple months back I made a thread about how stuck up the FIS is and how they deem it necessary to control and organize a sport they have NO IDEA about. Well after the recent World Snowboarding Championships, its pretty clear that TTR knows a thing or two about organizing and running large snowboarding events.  *For those that need a bit of background info look herehttp://www.trusnow.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=49881&PN=0&PID=1119253 For those that are interested in seeing our sport advance and evolve please help support our sport and check out this link!https://www.facebook.com/fuuuckFIS?sk=info  F*CK FIS!

This is for us to discuss current forum bugs, quirks, glitches or just plain brokedness... So, other than the obvious search issue and the viewing posts from profile page issue, what else has everyone found/noticed?-i have a problem with the chat popups... sometimes they pop up up to 6 windows all at once. this has been a problem for me on chrome and FF. Also, when chatting to s.o. when they reply, it will pop up in a new window sometimes.... What would we like to see to make our surfing/spamming more enjoyable or efficient?ie. being able to flag brand reviews from the profile page?
12/24/2011 6:40:40 AM figured id throw this out there, for anyone here in southern germany.if anyone wants to drive or take the bus down to austria. heading down to hochzillertal tomorrow (25th)
12/19/2011 7:24:56 AM So Ive always had problems with the earpads sliding out of my Mutiny helmet and this weekend, I finally found something to help keep them in. use a couple of the little felt stickers that you use for the bottom of table legs and chairs.....cheap fix! They didnt slide out at all on sunday and even if they do come off, a pack of 16 is only 1 or 2 € at IKEA or any hardware store....
11/29/2011 4:07:44 PM ok, so this is for miked and for mr mustacheG
Ingredients: for approx 4L homemade Glühwein5 (750ml) bottles of red wine (bordeaux, cab or merlots are good)5 Oranges (ripe and sweet)1 Apple15 cl Brown Rum (150ml or 5 fl oz) 1 Whole Vanilla Bean (or 3 pks of vanilla sugar(should be teabag-sized))5 Tablespoons cinnamon10 Whole Cloves2 Whole star anise (1/2 Tablespoon ground)3 dried Allspice berries (1/2 teaspoon Allspice)5 Cardamom pods (1teaspoon ground Cardamom)60g Brown sugar (1/2-3/4Cup)Preparation:Cut oranges in half and squeeze. While squeezing, some pulp in the wine is ok, as this Glühwein will be "cloudy".Peel the apple, remove the core and cut into thin slices.Crush the Star Anise to a powder in a mortar. Next add the remaining spices (cloves, allspice and cardamom) and grind them as well. This glühwein will have sediment- this is ok. For this reason, the spices added are ground. Advantage to this: a spiced taste using a smaller quantity of spices, exact dosage, and you dont have to "fish" out the spices before serving.Cut the vanilla bean longways. Using the backside of a knife, scrape the vanilla pulp out of the bean shell. Set this to the sideUsing a pot large enough to accommodate 4L. Fill the pot with red wine and heat. First add the rum, orange juice (and oranges) and apple slices. Next add the vanilla, ground spices, cinnamon and sugar. Stir completely (until sugar is melted/mixed in)This recipe doesnt use very much sugar. This however, makes a Glühwein that tastes a bit spicier, though not too sweet. For a sweeter drink, simply add sugar to taste.A surefire way to screw this up is to let it boil! The first bubbles from boiling indicate that you just made a Kid's punch: The reason for this is that by boiling the liquid, alcohol is allowed to vaporize and evaporated. IMPORTANT- Always be next to the stove (*insert really bad woman joke here*) to make sure the pot does not boil! Do not let the pot boil!(Edit: Alcohol wont evaporate 100% even if boiled... therefore Glühwein is still not for kids of for ppl who want a N/A drink)Let the Glühwein simmer for 30 min on low heat. This allows the drink to be evenly aromatized/marinated. After this, it can be allowed to cool (some) Profis enjoy this winter drink after it is allowed to sit for a bit, not right away.
ok kiddos, i translated this fairly close, with a cpl additions....my thoughts though are that the cloves can be added whole if you like, im not too sure about the star anise and cardamom (but please add the allspice, vanilla, cinnamon and cloves) -ive also read that a teabag of a black tea can be substituted for these (use at own risk... but let me know if you do and how it tasted)as far as garnish..... either plop a slice of orange or apple in the mug.... or dont... thats usually the only garnish i like in mine....the recipe is very sparse on sugar, might be a good idea to add a shade more. it also doesnt HAVE to be brown sugar, but the BS will give a nicer taste. AAAANNNND last but not least....a shot of rum or amaretto in the mug is a VERY tasty addition, but remember kids, you wont taste it and it WILL kick you in your a$$! oh and enjoy! edit- taken from herehttp://www.firstbreeze.com/TI-Privatordner/Blogs/Koch-Banausen/2008/gluehwein-rezept-nie-wieder-fertiges-zuckerwasser/
11/18/2011 4:40:29 AM Ok so in an effort to make it harder for snowboarders to qualify and compete in the upcoming olympic games, FIS unequivocally turned down TTR's proposal to be an olympic qualifier series. http://espn.go.com/action/snowboarding/story/_/id/7219564/fis-rejects-ttr-proposal-joint-olympic-qualification-system-negotiations-end what does this mean?-to actually compete in the olympic slopestyle events, riders will have to ride in the FIS sanctioned series-riders wont have time to ride in the TTR series at the same time.-FIS is reetahdid being silly -possiblility of a snowboarder boycott???http://espn.go.com/action/snowboarding/story/_/id/7239781/snowboarders-react-international-ski-federation-decision

9/16/2011 8:19:54 AM Thought I might throw this out there and see if anyone will be travelling through or will be in Munich the next couple of weeks for the fest? I have box reservations for tomorrow morning in Spaten's Ochsenbraterei and will probably make it down there a few times. If anyone is in town and wants to meet up, let me know.
