7/28/2010 3:00:18 PM Hotham:   need snow desperately.........hope this system delivers the 30cms its predicted to
6/23/2010 3:07:38 PM   We need it - quite warm and sunny up here still.
6/15/2010 3:04:20 PM Grunge:  I am up here, but didn't ride on the weekend. Conditions are marginal with good man made snow on the Big D, Summit Trainer and Sun Run. temps have climbed quite a bit the last few days and the snowmaking that was pumping out heaps over the last couple of weeks is now on hold.   There is a system comming through later today bringing some moisture, but I think the temps will remain too high and I think we will see some rain instead of snow for most of the resort.   Of course, with any weather you just don't know, so hopefully the temps will drop and the snow will start.   If it does rain, I hope it does not do too much damage to what they have managed to get open.   Top of Village Chair:
6/15/2010 1:43:55 AM So I am now up at Hotham /Dinner Plain for the season.   I will be reularly updating a blog here:   http://www.boardworld.com.au/forums/viewthread/798/
6/7/2010 3:00:59 PM I travelled this year to Japan with one Burton Wheelie Board Case 156cms. It carried all my gear, clothing, boots etc. It was great.   Just needed a small carry-on pack in addition.   Great wheel system on the Burton wheelies
6/6/2010 3:08:48 PM   It was looking like that end of third quarter then  the doggies came back.   Thank God we had a 40 point lead or else we would have been beaten!   Fell over the line we did
6/3/2010 11:53:50 PM Just thought I'd like to say:        Good Luck Sam Stosur in the final of the French Open               GO AUSSIE
6/3/2010 3:00:45 PM Heard some really funny stories of the Aldi experience yesterday
6/2/2010 3:03:22 PM I ride both and can honestly say that the banana/rocker was excellent in light powder in Japan and for All Mountain cruising.   The traditional camber board will kill the rocker on fast carving groomers.   My B-Street is rocker and I love it - goes anywhere
6/1/2010 2:34:03 PM Anybody who books June or even early July is taking a chance. 2008 (IMO) was a decent year but it didn't start delivering until mid July - August was fab.   Last year we had snow for opening, but most years we do not.
5/30/2010 11:46:20 PM   That pic is awesome I wish Hotham looked like that
5/30/2010 4:36:20 PM Hey ho - was up at Dinner Plain/Hotham on the weekend. Plenty of rain and wind about - temps still too warm at 4 degrees!   Hotham still looking like a ghost town - hard to believe its only 2 weeks until opening.
5/26/2010 11:45:35 PM Well if you head there in Jan or Feb or even March you should be fine.   Couple of sites for yo to check out: http://www.japanspecialists.com/ http://www.snowjapan.com/e/daily/webcam/index.html   I went to Hakuba and Nozawa Onsen on the island of Honshu There is also Niseko etc on the northern island of Hokaido   Check this site out too:  http://forums.ski.com.au/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=923164&page=1&nt=28&fpart=1   Aussie website with lots of good info on travelling to Japan and the different resorts, travel details etc.   Start your research
5/26/2010 2:56:28 PM Echidna crossing under Pretty Valley Chair @ Perisher last year:
