||I've been checking Transworld Snowboarding Good Wood 2012 results. There are 9 Mervin boards out of 40 winners. I've watched the video and listened all the blurbs about "objectivity and fairness" of the test. But IMO 9 out of 40 is not a faithful summary of the snowboard scene today. Also I believe Transworld should give some thought about the results so heavily shifted to a manufacturer. This test has been a matter of debate in the past. And I know all the s**t about it's not possible to be completely objective when you're choosing the best board out there. But the average customer buys it. They believe if it's a winner than it should be the hot property. And after all if the Mervin sticks are that good than other brands should close down the shop. And I believe that's not the case.

||A friend of mine looks for 2009, probably he got something for the curves. Looks like nothing much left around. Is there any 2009 Love for sale you know?

||I'll be in Boulder, Co. during mid November. I'm planning to spend 5-6 days riding a mountain where I'm most likely to find the best snow during that time. Should I hit one mountain or stay in a convenient base and visit more than one place? Your inputs will be highly appreciated.

||If I buy two boards, is it possible to put them in the same box for shipment? Or do you ship them in separate boxes? What about three boards, could they be shipped in the same box?

||News of fellas hitting the slopes here and there and relax; GOOD! If it was a bit late I was afraid of the dire consequences...

||I have a couple of O'Neill big mountain jackets made of eVent, from 2008. They were advertised to have snowskirts but came without them (shame on O'Neill because their wrist gaiters were also missing). I loved the jackets so much didn't want to send them back. Now I want to add a snowskirt if I can find. I Googled but found none. Any ideas?

||I have a new Bataleon Evil Twin, after the first day on the mountain I noticed an apparent whitening on the base. Usually it takes 3 or more days for sintered bases to whiten. How often should I wax an extruded base or does it ever benefit from waxing? Or should I not give a damn and ride it as is?

||I am learning how to ride on a ski treadmill. It's 9 meters long and 4 meters wide. After 4 years on the mountains it's like starting all over. After a couple of hours, and some frustration I managed to do my turns. But I am having hard time to link them, and I don't have enough time to get used to machine. I took my Skate Banana to the slope for the first day, but I am not sure about my choice. My other option is Custom X. What do you think, will Custom X give me better edge to edge or shall I keep on using Banana?

|| How they perform together is another issue. But their hole patterns match quite good.

||Next week I'll be renting a Chevy Trailblazer or such from Alamo. Does anybody know if those rental SUVs are 4x4 or 4x2?

||Hopefully I'll be touring BC, Canada by late January-early Feb. So what's the best way to get Whistler tickets for 10 days? Should I buy online now to get some discounts, also I recall someone wrote that you can get cheap tickets from 7/11s? I can not search for previous posts so any hints, suggestions about Whistler and other BC resorts will be highly appreciated.

||I was browsing thru new Burton site. I guess Jake is obsessed with that color. Prolly the only color they keep each year. So many roasted brown stuff, it made me sick.

||My head measures 58 cm and R.E.D. claims that Hi-Fi Medium is just for me. When I bought one and put it on, I experienced what the poor folks passing thru Spanish inquisition had suffered. It was definitely tight. Is R.E.D. Hi-Fi M a real medium size? Anybody using Hi-Fi?
