2/24/2016 7:22:42 PM Yeah, I was at Northstar on Saturday and it was very warm. Fortunately, it was just after the last storm so the snow was fairly fresh and soft. It was one of my better days there as I usually go to Kirkwood. I'd imagine it's pretty iced over by now with the warm high temps lately. We'll have to wait for the next storm and hopefully cooler weather.
9/21/2015 5:00:38 PM I knew I should have saved some. And now I have to find a replacement for Romo... Ugh!! I have him in one of my other leagues too SMH.
9/15/2015 5:04:20 PM I should have saved some of those points for ya.
9/9/2015 5:05:44 PM It's on!! Draft went well today. Where were you L80?
9/5/2015 4:55:27 PM We'll need at least two, preferably four more teams for this league to happen. Anyone interested? Link to league homepage... http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/f1/1054183
9/5/2015 4:52:24 PM If we get enough teams. New thread here... http://www.trusnow.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=55076
9/2/2015 5:16:44 PM I tried bumping up the old post from last year, but it won't move up for some reason. Anyway, I restarted the league from last season and we'd like to get some additional new team owners. Let me know if you're interested. Link to old thread: http://www.trusnow.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=54747&PN=4
9/2/2015 5:12:05 PM Bump... Anyone else interested in joining a fantasy football league for this coming season?
8/31/2015 5:23:25 PM That time of year again. I restarted the league. Let me know if any new owners want to join. Should we start a new thread, or just keep this one going?
3/30/2015 5:53:28 PM Here's the thing though, my original post said the Knicks and 76ers right now - meaning the starting lineups and teams right now.  If you look at the Knicks and 76ers rosters right now, these guys are borderline NBAD league players or a few days removed from playing in Europe.  Kentucky has at least 3 legitimate starters in the NBA - at least starters on crappy NBA teams. And look at some of the past Kentucky rosters; 2012 had Anthony Davis, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, and Terrence Jones - all three are starters on good teams.   Who knows how good the Harrison brothers or Willie Cauley-Stein will be in the NBA.  My point is that the abilities and skills of college players are not that far removed from the pros.  That's why guys like Jabari Parker, Andrew Wiggins, and Nerlens Noel can go from being a freshman in college to a legit starter in the NBA in one off season.  Therefore, I believe if Kentucky played the 76ers or Knicks right now, they'd win at least 5 out of 10 games.  I don't believe the same is true between NCAA football and the NFL.  There are way more factors/players/skills/abilities involved there.  Ohio State or Oregon would get destroyed by the Titans or the Buccaneers every time.
Even if Kentucky has three potential (not legitimate) NBA starters (and potential is always argueable), every NBA team has five "real" NBA starters. I wouldn't expect Kentucky to win any games against any NBA team and they'd struggle against D league teams. You're seeing Kentuckly play against other college teams, most of which have no more than one potential NBA starter. It's just a different level of competition. Using your examples, look at how Davis and MKG struggled initally in the NBA. Sure they had/have the talent, and they've grown and developed into quality players, but that took some time. The same can be said about the level of competition in the NBA, or any other professional league. There are always gonig to be bottom dewllers, but they are all peers. College players are not peers of proffesional players. College players are still in the early stages of their development, no matter how good they look against other college players.
1/9/2015 5:27:25 PM If you're mostly going to ride park stuff, go to Northstar. They have the most park terrain I've seen in the Tahoe area and they have everything from baby stuff to HUGE!! Seirra would be my choice if you were going South Lake. Boreal is a great, cheap alternative if you're intermediate, but you won't find "long" runs there.
12/14/2014 6:48:30 PM You asked, you received - Buffalo 21  Green Bay 13.
Ugh! Pretty ugly day all around. Hope tonite and tomorrow nights games are better.
11/25/2014 4:49:00 PM Run Forsett, RUN! LOL
11/18/2014 5:43:35 PM  Thanks for taking it easy on me.
11/5/2014 6:51:15 PM  Never too late to get started... even if it has to be on  250.
