3/9/2012 11:17:38 AM Not sure why this is not in the randomness thread..... Nothing to do with snowboarding, or trout!
3/2/2012 11:00:55 AM ^^^ not by a long shot! Add a $1 to your price and that's what we pay in SD!
3/2/2012 10:30:40 AM What an ignorant dumbass person, blaming Obama for the whole thing! What about the greedy ass oil companies who use the slightest unrest in middle east with Iran to drive prices through the roof! Furthermore, if you study the trends of oil prices, they always start to go up a few months before busy summer travel season. Everyone should realize by now, that no matter who is in office, they are just a mouthpiece for greater powers to be!   Congressional elections are far more important than presidential in my own opinion.
3/1/2012 2:43:08 PM San Diego $4.60 for low grade!!Most expensive in the nation! I don't wanna hear any whining from any one!
3/1/2012 2:39:21 PM ^^^this is a forum... of course it's subjective!
3/1/2012 2:36:59 PM Great idea! Had no clue this could be done! I like one of the previous mentions to tie dye a strap... That would be pretty sick and no body would have that!! Would this work with a helmet??? Got some ideas flowing.
3/1/2012 2:26:28 PM Vail's back bowls are the best riding in the lower 48. Great snow, amazing tree runs, and some fantastic chutes. Those that dog on Vail just don't know where to go, yes it's huge, so u will be doing a lot of traversing but only if ur a noob to the place.... So follow a local and plan accordingly. Same goes for any other mega resort. Whistler is amazing. The verticle drop is great, nice nightlife, and usually more snow than many lower states resorts. Damn expensive though! Mammoth is great, but can sometimes get the Sierra cement snow, and the high winds can blow 5 feet of pow off the mountain in one day. But I've had the best blue bird powder days there as well. No for the wild card.... Revelstoke. It's not huge like the previous mentions, although it makes up for it with vertical drop, Long, long, long runs, and some great natural cliffs, booters, tree runs, and a few small bowls. Very sick resort that every one needs to try once in thier life.
2/29/2012 2:40:47 PM ^Well put Broys. Yes Vail is top notch. Thats why it is a top rated, world renowned resort. not much need to improve on the greatness that it is! Of course, every resort in existence could improve, get bigger, spend more money..... But where do you think that extra money is going to come from.... From the tickets they sell to us, which would then cost even more than they currently do. ( which is astronomical already!) As well, now being part of Vail Corp. might mean all those heavenly, vail, etc. season pass holders will come and spend money in Kirkwood, helping the local economy. That money in turn could be used to keep kirkwood in great shape and possibly expand the terrain.
2/29/2012 12:34:26 PM ^^^its called difersifying their portfolio, and scooping up property at a fraction of what they once were! Just because it started in Vail, doesn't mean they would limit their selves to just one state... That is not a good business model. Of course they calculated this years terrible season and the coming gas prices and scooped it up cheap! They have the capital to hold on tothe property till economy, real estate rebounds. The world is only getting bigger in population and these people will need someplace to go, and why not a bad ass place like KIrkwood! As much As I don't like Vail Corp., I can see why they made the buy. Hope they leave most of KIrkwood alone and just improve on the infrastructure essentials.
2/28/2012 1:08:07 PM Impact shorts are great! I like the board short style as they are not as constrictive as the tight style. One piece of advice.... If you want a better option than snowboard impact shorts, get inline hockey padded pants. Much cheaper and better protection as well. They Go higher up and protest hips as well! MUCH better option!
2/27/2012 12:22:06 PM Audi makes the best AWD system there is for cars. Yes the Subaru system is good, but not as advanced as Quattro. One cool new car is the AWD Nissan juke, with the turbo charged engine. Its kinda fast, good MPG, cheap, but still handles better than most SUV'S. Make sure to get 6speed manual though. Also, it's very small so a roof rack wld be required.
2/27/2012 12:12:30 PM What the hell?!? Why not tell people about the change!! I liked having just a snow forum, now we are going to get all these bike, hike, skate, surf discussions. Don't get me wrong..... I love all those things. I just feel that having a separate forum for each is beneficial since we won't have to filter through topics and sports one might not be interested in. On the other hand, if I can apply my points from true now to other items that would be welcomed.
2/9/2012 1:35:54 PM Agree with most on having the clear lens in for night riding. It's the best. For low light daytime riding, a Rose color or a yellow/gold iridium works best for me.
2/8/2012 12:32:02 PM Well put ctoma!! If she was the only one not wearing a spandex suite why would they complain about a band around her leg!?!? NO matter how tight she could get the band, it would never be as tight as a spandex suite. Classless French with their twitchy asshole mentality!    Never mind she was wearing the band to honor a fallen member of the sport! I hope I don't see a French person today!!
2/8/2012 12:16:00 PM That is gotta be fake?!! He couldnt wipe his own ass if he wanted to!
