12/31/2010 1:11:48 PM There without a DOUBT needs to be more snowboarding movies. Hopefully better than Frozen. That movie was a complete joke... When you read the synopsis the movie actually sounds intriguing, but after watching 30 minutes of the film you realize the direction it is going...
12/30/2010 11:17:06 AM I am currently rocking a foursquare jacket for the first time and am loving it. You can tell they put a lot of thought into it with how it is designed. The pocket locations are awesome, and then of course like most jackets nowadays it has a pass holder, retractable pass holder, powder skirt (with pull strings in front pockets), pit zips, etc. The one thing that's pretty cool about it though is it has a detachable balaclava that stores in a small pocket behind the neck. I hope to buy foursquare pants soon so I can clip my jacket to them, but we will see
12/28/2010 11:24:37 AM Start out by teaching her how to "leaf", in other words staying on her heel side and alternating her front foot. When looking uphill at her, it should resemble a leaf falling from a tree. This will get her comfortable with the idea of being on a board stuck to her feet, and shows her how to stop using her heel edge. It is also a nice way for a beginner to get down the slopes while they are learning to use both toe side and heel side together. Trying to teach toe side and heel side at once in the beginning isn't smart because the learner gets frustrated due to the fact that every ten feet they fall.
12/28/2010 11:19:28 AM I would suggest looking at the RED Total Impact Wrist Guards. Most stores should carry them, I would suggest checking them out at your local dealer and see what you think. They are heat moldable, which is really nice. I have tried a couple different wrist guards on and I always seem to have a problem with weird pressure points from the splint, which the heat moldable splint should fix. I currently wear splints on both wrists every time I snowboard because I too had a nasty fall two years ago, which I still feel every time I land on my hands.
11/16/2010 3:28:28 PM I had a clear burton one on my last board for 3 years and it yellowed, but my friend has a clear dakine stomp that hasn't yellowed. Seems to be a hit or miss. You can always take it off if it yellows, and use alcohol to get the adhesive off.
