5/17/2010 4:26:49 AM http://www.xsportsprotective.com/ is a great place for protective gear. I wish Sierra would stock a bunch of protective gear, that'd be pretty awesome.
5/17/2010 4:25:41 AM Yeah, that initial jolt is the hardest part, besides that I would say just relax and look ahead.
5/17/2010 3:48:45 AM Monster, WeSc, Skullcandy, B&O, Bose and most Sony's are frankly crap. Sennheiser I don't like either, but that is mainly preference, they are often technically competent headphones, I just find them boring (generally) especially the high-end models. You shouldn't generalize by brand anyway (even though I just did) it can be hit and miss from any manufacturer, but i suppose we have to a bit. It's just that the ones I listed above are pretty much all miss, or way overpriced (Bose B&O). In the headphone world, the following brands are generally considered quality: AKG Allessandro/Grado Audio Technica Beyerdynamic Etymotic Sennheiser Shure Ultimate Ears Ultrasone There are also a bunch of newer Chinese manufacturers who have only recently entered the market that have a number of very good sounding headphones for the price. But just a short list of recommendations based on your price range, assuming home use, full sized headphones: Shure SRH840 Beyerdynamic DT440 Audiotechnica A900 Audiotechnica AD900 Grado (any SR model you can afford) If you aren't fussed about open backed headphones you should generally go for open backed headphones, for the same price they usually sound better. None of the above need an amp to sound really good.

5/14/2010 10:02:18 PM Complete legalization (not just decriminalization) of everything would effectively eliminate all organized crime and the major funding source for every other shady organization there is.

5/13/2010 10:36:09 AM I'm also pretty interested in knowing what the edge bevel is on the Stunt. I'm guessing its a 3/3 bevel? EDIT: Also, does it come with detuned tip and tail?
5/10/2010 9:03:49 PM Australia is such a big country that there is bound to be a couple places with snow. Not a huge amount of it but more than enough to have fun. I'm all ready to go though, got two weeks in Queenstown in July, and another week long trip down at the NSW snow fields. That's just what is planned already, we are going to make as many trips as our time and money will allow in between. Thankfully I have friends who don't mind leaving for the snow at 12am on a Friday morning and getting back on Monday nights. Also there's a trip to Japan in the works for early next year. Still got a million uni assignments and exams between now and the first bit of snow for the year though. So hard to focus on uni.
5/9/2010 2:00:59 AM Gloves are one place where it is definitely worthwhile to get gor-tex. Gloves are quite small so the price isn't prohibitive, and hands are usually the first place to get cold and drenched. I rock Dakine Stingrays, fairly low profile, allows mobility, very waterproof but not super warm which is a good thing in Australia.
5/9/2010 1:32:38 AM Probably not the right forum for this... but hell yeah. Going to be in QT from 2nd-16th of July.
5/7/2010 10:11:20 PM Interesting, does anyone know if nail-polish would remove the cheap paint on Rome 390's? I have white-wildstyle and would quite like to make the high-back all black. Or maybe the whole thing.
5/7/2010 10:07:45 PM What a completely undignified way of dieing. Some of the comments are kinda funny too: "Man, with friends like those… …who needs enemas?"
5/7/2010 9:55:54 PM My friend decided to take a snow trip. Went along because my friends were, had no expectations and was really only there because we always have fun on trips. Was expecting it to be somewhat fun but something I would easily forget about. By the second day it was obvious that it was something I would try to do as much as possible. Spent the whole car ride home pointing at snowless hills and mountains exclaiming about how awesome it would be if there was snow on them, and cursing the fact that we aren't snowboarding. I became severely addicted.
5/2/2010 12:28:01 AM Like with most things, there is a place for each. But this is such a tired topic, and who cares what JJ said.
5/1/2010 11:07:43 AM Inter have the odds, ~60% chance according to some betting websites. I would agree, if i took a guess, i would say they have more than 60% of winning. But I would prefer Beyern to win. Heart with Beyern, money with Inter.
