12/17/2009 8:08:02 PM i got my brand new k2 board with my first pair of burton mission i got for christmas stolen when i was like 13...just a story to make u feel better..it sucked
12/17/2009 7:57:22 PM the rocker lifts the board up in specific spots to help prevent catching edges...its a more progressive feel than the normal camber...personally i have a burton fix 155 with the EST exiles and i love it, but i tend to stick to more rails that anyting which is great with the fix but if ur looking into the ICS system i say go for it...its noticable with way more cushion because of the fact that there is no baseplates and the ulimited stance setup with the channel which would help u bc u have large feet...it would make it so u could center ur boots over ur board, i have normal sized feet and i use this and it helps a ton...good luck
12/14/2009 6:57:16 AM dude that blows that ur new custom got that huge chip in the bottom.. it looks fixable, this same thing happaned to the edge of my friend's board adn he had to get rid of it... bad luck man...
12/14/2009 6:52:04 AM i got some Burton Exile EST coalition in the blue and yellow...i had burton cartels from like 2007 that i loved since it was my first bindings with the capstrap and now i cant live without the capstrap.. i just got the EST to try out the whole new ICS system on my fix... alot fo ppl say that its an expensive systme and it is but i got my 09 burton fix 155 and 10' burton exile EST bindings for a total of less than $400...ebay is an awesome place!!! to me the EST system is noticable simply becaseu there is unlimited stance settings and u can now move the bindings up and down the board( which i thougt id never use, but since i have the opportunity i use it to minimize my drag on the heel and toe,and its made a huge difference)... since there is no need for baseplates, the entire bottom of the binding is cushion which is super nice adn responsive...if u dont like the large amountof padding u can get smaller soles to replace...
12/13/2009 6:32:01 PM ouch oakelyhas a way of overpricing replacement lensese so all i have to say is good luck fixing for cheap..i was looking to replace lenses and it was way to expensive for me...
12/13/2009 6:28:15 PM yeah to whole ed hardy craze is a bit rediculious...and to bring it to snowboarding is quite possibly the dumbest thing ive ver seen....wow is all i can say
12/12/2009 5:57:47 PM yeah burton does make some good ones..i guess its all about how much ur willing to spend bc Burton P1s and up get into the most expenseive specturm of bindings... Personally ive always like technine bindgins so if i were u id look into them...or even some k2 autos
12/12/2009 5:53:59 PM yeah my friend had a bataleon and he loved the triple base...then it broke on him.... i dont think i could ever pay full price for snowboards and bindings, in my opinion its all way to over priced for kids...so i look on websites like sierra ahah i just got boots for 48 dollars...the forum constants whatever all u guys/gals like is cool with me, the only reason i got into burton stuff was for the first capstrap long ago, i guess technine beat burotn to it but i didnt know about them at the time...
12/12/2009 4:14:45 PM haha ur all good man...I was pretty stoked myself to get a good board, at least i think its nice haha, and ESt bindings for pretty much dirt cheap. who doestn like ebay? haha oh yeah i was sooo excited to ride my new board and all i had was my old cartels and only to find that the convertors sucked dick...knida ironic since it was all new and such... So wat do u ride? i kinda wish id looked into it more and i probably woudl have gotten a Captia stairmaster...i dont want to seem like a stuck up boarder that only likes burotn stuff becasue its all corprate and shit...
12/12/2009 3:59:53 PM i have and ics board and Est bindings...the Fix is a super soft, negative profile board and extremely fun board overall, and thats all i wanted... so i thought since my old 4x4 cartels didnt fit right that id look for some EST bindigns to use for this year plus if u can read i said that i got the Fix and my Exile EST bindigns for a total of $340, cheaper than the Fix at the origonal price... if i didnt get it for sooo cheap then it would have been stupid to pay the overpriced set-up of a full price ics board and ESt bindings...
12/12/2009 3:53:59 PM yeah the idea of only 2 screws worried me at the start but so far nothign bad has come of it. i never thought i woudl have to use all the possibililes of the channel and EST bindigns but now that i can move my bindings up and down the board, not only on any angle, i can position my boots to fit my board perfetly to minimize any drag that defineatly would have been there had i no the ability to move them up and down... sort of an overlooked aspect
12/12/2009 3:47:25 PM yeah the 3x3 was quite possibly the stupidest idea for the most limiting binding possibilites ever...like i was saying tho the adaptors to get the 4x4 or 3x3 bindings on teh channel were ucomfrotable because to get the large headed screws from the channel to fit in a 4x4 binding they had to make the baseplate raised higher thatn the normal baseplates, making it raide above the rest of the binding.. It was like standing on a lump in the middle of both feet..... THere u go another way for burton to force riders into buying their new and great products....but hey if ppl buy it then appaerenly theyre doing somthing right....
12/12/2009 3:38:37 PM all im sayin is that i was looking for a good jib and park board cheap and the 09 Burton Fix was only $240 off the internet, and i was intreested in teh negative profile that i had never seen b4... So this year i thought since i had the channel already id try out the EST bindigns which i got for half price (Exile EST orig=250 i go for 150 off ebay)... If i had to buy my setup for full price theres no way in the world id pay it... i got it all for $390, if i bought it full price it would have been over $600... I have to agree tho that i frist tried my burton cartels 4x4 on the channel and the adaptor set of baseplates werent even flush with the base of the binding... and was raise up into the bottom of my feet which was extremely uncomfortable...so i guess burton, from a marketing standpoint was smart for doing this, but to the rest of up kinda screwed us over which looks bad for a company with such a large prestige in the snowboarding community...
12/12/2009 3:03:37 PM yeah i got my burton fix for $240, and i didnt just get it for the channel but for the the new scoop tip and tail and the negative profile...i love the fix its so soft and extremelty fun to ride... then i got thinking about trying the EST bindings since at frist i only had old Cartels 4x4 on my fix. I got a pair of one-day-used Exile Est bindgins off ebay for lik $150, so i couldnt pass it up. Wat i thought too was that the two screws wouldn't work as well as the originoal 4x4 but in actuality the screws have a rubber washer on the inside that sits in between the actual binding and the screw which helps a ton...and to reply bak to the other guy, if u didnt like the extra cushion then u can buy replacement shred beds taht are much thinnner....
12/12/2009 10:57:27 AM I bought a burton 155 fix 09' for this winter and i got the new burton exile est coalition bindigns to go on the channel of the fix. I love the new feel and padding of the EST bindings, not only do u feel every move of the board but the padding is superior to any binding ive had. In my opinion the ICS system, a bit pricey, is totally worth it to have for any boarder looking for a new and innovative set-up...how bout u?
