1/3/2009 8:51:41 PM Just a heads up, there are Never Summer demos going on the next few weeks in Tahoe.  I stumbled upon it today at Sugar Bowl, and its also happening tomorrow at the Bowl.  The demo guy also said he will be at Sierra and then Squaw the next two weekends.  I demoed the Evo-R 151, and will write up a review tomorrow.
8/7/2008 10:14:08 PM *** Reduced *** I've got a pair of Burton Tribute Boots size 6 Mens boots that I'm looking to get rid of before I move.  They've seen about 10 days of riding, and are in very good condition.  They are practically new, and still have a whole lot of life left.  I'm getting rid of them because they ended up being a bit small for me.  I live in Sacramento, so I'd rather do a local deal, but if you want to pay for shipping, I'll give you a quote.  PM with questions or if you want to see any other pics
8/7/2008 10:08:30 PM *** Reduced *** I've got a pair of Flow AMP 5 bindings that I'm looking to get rid of before I move.  They've seen about 12 days of riding, and are in very good condition.  They have no obvious wear or problems, I just don't need them any more.  I live in Sacramento, so I'd rather do a local deal, but if you want to pay for shipping, I'll give you a quote.
3/25/2008 4:25:56 PM http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080325/ap_on_sc/tahoe_warming Quite sad.
3/4/2008 1:37:58 PM ...out.  I got to ride with he and SacComedyBrian on Saturday, and had a great day.  I'll let him explain the story, if he feels inclined to do so.  I was disappointed to not get to ride with them more, but thats the way it goes I guess.  Bruizza, can you post or send me the vids or pics you took?  If anybody cares, Ive cross posted my trip report from my ongoing riding log. Thanks for the fun fellas.  I had a great time, and my knees are feeling fine again. ___________________________________________________________________ Day 22 3-1-2008 Keystone, CO  After a long ordeal to get to Keystone from Boulder, I made it onto the hill by 2.  Met up with Bruizza and SacComedyBrian for some shred.  Stayed on the front side of Keystone, and mostly hit groomers and park.  Area 51 is massive, with tons of different sized rails and boxes to learn on.  I wasn't that impressed with their jump lines, as the medium sized hits were spaced way too close together.  Mostly hit little Aframe type stuff, and a ride on downpipe.   At the very end of the night, Bruizza blasted me at nearly full speed with his edge right above my knees.  I'm lucky I didn't get hurt too bad, cuz it coulda been ugly.  Day 23 3-2-2008 Keystone, CO  Got about 4-6" of fresh.  Was gonna meet up with Bruizza and Brian again, but the roads were shut down.  Quite a shame.  Rode the backside for most of the morning, and found a few good lines.  Snow conditions were pretty wretched, with 4-6" of fresh on ice moguls.  Once I found a good line, I stuck with it.  The second part of the day, I rode park and the Bowls below the park.  It was a nice mix of park laps followed by freeriding through the bowls to the Peru lift.  I stepped up again and hit a medium( by Keystone standards) sized jump, that was probably slightly larger than the largest hit at SugarBowl.  I cleared it three times, and cased it twice. I hit my first ollie-on box and landed it both times I tried it.  I spun a few FS 180s off a hip with medium success, and I also mastered the down pipe.  After I got back to the hostel I spent 2 hours digging my rental car outta the snow. Day 24 3-302008 Loveland, CO  Got up early to make it to Loveland for early tracks.  Started off the day riding chair 8, which was crazy fun.  This was my first experience riding above the tree line, and it was extremely windy.  The wind was worth it, though, because it created tons of little wind lip hits.  After these, I dropped through the trees and back onto the groomer before hitting a small kicker created by the lifties.  Later in the day, I explored off of chair 1 and 2.  I spent a good amount of time in the park, which had 2 ideal sized jumps set up.  I handled them well, and only fell once when I hit the jump with way too much speed and over-rotated mid air.  I also was able to hit their ride on box - to drop with ease.  Loveland is windy, huge, and beautiful.  The freeriding was an interesting experience above the tree lines.  Overall thoughts on CO:  I didn't find the terrain I was expecting, though I didn't go to the best mountains for intense terrain.  I probably need some guide to show me the really fun spots.  Also, the snow conditions werent that great, but again Im sure that I didnt see CO at its best.
1/26/2008 9:07:05 PM I got a grad school interview at CU Boulder in late February, and am planning to stick around a few days afterwards to ride.  My interview is Friday Feb 29.  I can probably ride the following Saturday through Tuesday-ish.  A few questions. 1.  Where should I go?  Ill probably either rent a car or if its relatively cheap, Ill do some shuttle service from Denver.  I'd like to go to the nearest place to Denver/Boulder that is worth my while.  My initial thoughts are either Keystone, Breck, or Winter Park.  For the CO folks, where would you go if you only had a few days.  I'm used to riding Kirkwood and Sugar Bowl around Tahoe.  2.  Whats the best/cheapest/least hassle way to ride for a few days?  Should I stay in Denver and drive back and forth, or just stay on a mountain for a few days?  If I do stay in Denver, are there a reputable shuttle service options? 3.  Anybody gonna be riding on these days?  Itd be cool to meet up with people if they'll be around, and it'd be even cooler if somebody wanted to show me around.  Thanks in advance for the advice
1/24/2008 11:42:48 AM For those of you at work (like myself), there is streaming video available at expn.com. I'd be interested in hearing predictions as to who will win the main ski and snowboard events.
1/14/2008 6:19:43 PM In the time between the end of my current job and starting grad school, I'm seriously considering moving to Australia or New Zealand next summer (winter in the southern hemisphere) and working at a snowboard resort.  I'm in the early planning stages at this point, but wanted any feedback from our Aussie contingent.  So far, I'm looking at Perisher Blue and Thredbo as my top choices in Australia, and Treble Cone and Wanaka in New Zealand.  More specifically, what places are good and which are bad?  Which places have legit terrain and snowfall?  Also, if you know of any resort's reputation for employee treatment, that would be great to hear as well.  Has anybody from the states been down under to ski/ride?  How do the resorts I've mentioned compare to Tahoe resorts?  All comments are welcome.
1/2/2008 9:31:06 PM I'll be riding Friday to Wednesday.  Gonna shack up near Sugar Bowl for the storm, so we'll be there for the majority of the trip.  If you wanna ride, PM me.  I'll be wearing a red 686 jacket and a Skate Banana 152.  EMoney is planning on riding a few of these days with us, as well.
12/31/2007 3:15:00 PM I know it's early, but I'm heading out to the party soon, soI figured I'd tell everyone in advance.  Happy New Year everybody, be safe, & don't drink and drive.
12/30/2007 1:55:18 PM From Yahoo!: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071229/ap_on_sc/ye_climate_records This is quite disturbing.  I'd be shallow and say that I'm worried about being able to snowboard in 50 years, but I think that may miss the actual significance of what may happen.
12/22/2007 12:34:31 PM Palmer P Line 154 I've ridden this board about 15 days total.  It has a few nicks on the topsheet from lift lines, and a scratch in the base that doesn't affect performance.  It also has a few rockin SierrSnowboard stickers on the topsheet, since it came as matte black.  This deck still has a lot of life in it, and makes a great beginner board or jib board for progressing riders.  I'm getting rid of it to afford a slightly smaller board.  $100 OBO I have no idea how much shipping would be.  If you are interested I can give you a customized shipping quote.  However, I live in midtown Sacramento and would much prefer to do a local deal.  PM me if you are interested.
12/2/2007 2:41:18 PM Hi all, I know this isn't snowboard related but I wanted to open this up to these forums before I post it on Craigslist.  I'd rather sell it to a worthy snowboarder first, if I can. ___________________________ This is a like-new Wii system.  Its in perfect working condition, I just don't have time to play it.  I'm selling it to try and recover the money I put into it, and am not trying to generate a profit.  I'm also including the Gamecube items that I purchased to play on this system. You will get the following items: Wii console Wii console stand Wii remote Wii remote jacket Nunchuck Sensor bar Wii AC adapter Wii AV cable Wii organizer stand (sold separately) Wii sports disc (5 games) Zelda: Twilight Princess Super Monkey Ball Mario Party 8 Super Mario Sunshine (gamecube game) Street Fighter 2 (old school Super Nintendo game, loaded onto Wii) Super Mario Kart 64 (old school Nintendo 64 game, loaded onto Wii) 2 Gamecube controllers Wii wired lan adapter to hook the Wii up to the internet I'm asking $475 for this package.  Serious offers and cash only.  If interested, email me at: PM me with any questions.  Thanks and Happy Holidays!
12/21/2006 7:36:02 AM I was greeted this morning with some nice new graphics and funny riders and spinny skiers.  I applaud whoever (Airik) came up with it.  Good work.
