5/26/2011 3:05:44 PM Never liked the silver on my bike, finally got around to ordering custom matte black fairings. Left a lot of detail out, figure I could just add on black decals later since Ride Qi purchased a vinyl cutter. Left mid-fairing, logo of the company I work for, right side mid-fairing, Ride Qi logos. Waiting for it to come in before I install the integrated tail-light and all the sliders. Need to learn how to do a lot of the maintenance too. Throttle and clutch feels crazy loose already. Bought some Dunlop Q2's too. Shaka, do you change your own tires? Harbor Freight stopped selling their cheapo motorcycle tire changing stand. Not sure if the next level up, ~$400 is worth it.
5/4/2011 2:58:46 PM Thanks for the heads-up. Really tempting. Kirkwood is my favorite, but a lot of my buddies here like hitting up different resorts. If I could get commitment to hit up Kirkwood for X days, I'd totally jump.
3/1/2011 2:38:35 PM Oh wow, didn't even think to go to Costco. I purchased a membership last year when my tires got slashed but never used the membership, they didn't have my tires in stock. $3.97 at my local Shell in Mountain View, CA.
2/24/2011 2:45:10 PM I think Top Gear America has been a valiant attempt so far. Better than the Australian version, and they've had a few seasons under their belt already. If you go look at the old Top Gear UK episodes, they were equally as bad. Give the American hosts a few seasons to build the rapport. But I agree, Leno, Carolla and Tanner would have been a great trio.
2/14/2011 3:12:37 PM With you on this one... you riding in Tahoe at all this season? Just got back from a weekend at Squaw, reminded me of East Coast conditions. Plenty of ice to go around.
2/10/2011 3:04:27 PM liftopia.com I also saw this Yelp deal today: $179 for a Yelp Exclusive Package for Two (regularly $429) at Resort At Squaw Creekhttp://www.yelp.com/deals/resort-at-squaw-creek-olympic-valley-3?bert=0yMmcgerPvYhx_d_k0jePg:D
2/10/2011 2:58:24 PM Been to both areas a few times. If you want to try a lot of different resorts, SLC offers a ton that are relatively close to each other. Park CityThe CanyonsBrightonSolitudeSnowbirdSnow BasinPowder Mountain My two favorite resorts in the U.S. are Snow Basin and Powder Mountain. I also happen to think the trip would be overall cheaper if you go with SLC over Tahoe.
1/26/2011 3:31:41 PM I run EST bindings. Two screws each and I'm still too lazy to take them off my board when I throw it into the bag. I just pack around it. And the bindings act like separators, holding things in place. Use the highback as a cage to put some of the more fragile items under.
1/6/2011 10:39:10 AM Damn, in my own town! I should go check it out!
1/4/2011 3:08:15 PM What's up guys. Will be in CO from the 13th (evening) to the 17th. I know some of the locals are going to avoid the mountains like the plague on a holiday weekend, but if you are going to be out riding let me know!
11/30/2010 11:29:29 AM Hey before you move, just make sure you visit. I loved riding in Ogden, but could never see myself living in SLC or the surrounding areas. Also noticed some smog getting trapped over SLC since mountains surround it. My preference would be to move to the PacNW, they are going to get some good snow this year with La Nina. And personally I grew up on a coast so I don't think I could ever live in a landlocked area. With that said, Powder Mountain / Snow Basin in Ogden were the best resorts I've ever ridden.
11/29/2010 1:34:09 PM Always thought the Dragon and IS goggles had decent fit for Asians. Never bothered paying what was usually a premium for Oakley Asian fit goggles.
11/26/2010 2:12:40 PM Enjoy! Had a great time riding TLine at the end of last season. Word is that the PacNW will get hammered this season so live it up!!!
11/26/2010 2:06:18 PM Depends on the shape of your feet. I tried on DC boots a few years ago and thought they were way too narrow. More narrow than the Salomon Fusion line. I rocked the Fusion line for a few models... F24, F22 and most recently the F20Select. Finally hopped on over to the regular Salomon line, riding the Dialogues now. So with that said, obviously very happy with Salomon's offerings. But try out as many brands, models as you can before settling on one!
11/26/2010 1:43:57 PM Hey all, haven't been active in a while, but just wanted to wish a belated Thanksgiving to everyone here!
