11/8/2010 12:54:03 PM practically new, used only one day, 09 Lib Tech Skate Banana 156. no delam, base, tip or tail damage. topsheet is damage free only has signs of what little use/traveling it has done. fresh wax job done last night, waxed before and after only day of use. $280 Shipped to lower 48. PM me if interested. thanks. $235 shipped for a limited time SOLD
2/11/2010 6:18:23 PM sadly (or happily?) i had my first "day" out yesterday at Prospect Park in Brooklyn. it's funny that it felt like an urban backcountry session. i had to hike from my apartment up one of the worst hills in Brooklyn with my board strapped to my backpack and my shovel. i thought i was going to die i was so out of breath and sweaty by the time i got to the park. it was insanely crowded and the light was scary flat by the time i arrived. anyone else ever done this in NYC? this is my second time in Prospect Park (riding, i mean) and i'm hell bent on finding a hidden gem of a spot to do something besides ride down a short-ass, mellow hill for 3 seconds. i need a spot with access to a boulder, fence, rail, picnic table, something. a good spot for a kicker would be fantastic, too. my first session 4-5 years ago i spent hours building a run-in and little jump to flat. it was puny, but fun. this time there were little jumps here and there, but they weren't built to launch a snowboard with a 180lb person attached. the little kids had a blast flying off that thing on their plastic saucers, but no good for me. i'm down with meeting up with BK-ites any time there is enough snow to warrant it. spot-naming surf rules don't apply since there are probably all of 20 people on this site that know what Prospect Park is. so speak up if you know where the sweet spots are!
11/19/2009 3:56:24 PM it's not that i think a majority of members give a crap that i am moving, it's just that this is easier than PM'ing the ones that might. i start a freelance gig on November 30 that carries me through the end of the year and then i should be driving back to stay at the beginning of the year. i will either have more freelance work or a full time job. either way, unless they hate me, i will be looking for a place while they pay for my hotel in December. woo hoo! Bru - i hope you and your crew still have room for one more. i can't believe i get to ride in good snow on substantial mountains all season! holy shit! the Ice Coast can suck it!
7/13/2009 7:34:45 PM i am reluctantly selling my 08 Burton CO2s and noticed (didn't shop for gear this last season) that they changed the toe cap in 09. my 07 CO2s have held up really well and i love everything about them, including the toe caps. anyone that rode them this year - how do they compare (comfort, effectiveness, streamlining, etc)?
7/2/2009 10:26:27 PM Gently used, well-maintained, high quality, super-tech outerwear priced to sell. i moved this thread because the cheap soft goods were easy to miss under all the boards. teverything on this list was $180-$275 new and used for 3 days or less except the Sepia jacket. MAKE ME AN OFFER (PM please), but please don't insult me. shipping will be approx. $12-18 - please include your zip code with your offer. • NEW 686 ACE Deploy Down Puffy Black M * 10k/8000g, 70/30 down insulation + 400 gm quilted panels $89 • Sessions Optimist Pants Hershey M  * 10k/10000g, fully taped, waist gaiter (brilliant invention!), Recco system * - $55 •• Vans BFB White/Black Boots Sz 10 - $99 ••• DVDs - MDP, DC, Standard, Rome, Capita, Neoproto, etc -  $5/each, - buy more/ save more Complete list in later post 686 ACE Sessions Optimist Pant Vans BFB
6/24/2009 7:57:15 AM i was on the subway this morning with two guys wearing overpriced sunglasses. guys that wear sunglasses on a train that runs underground = douchebags. but i have noticed that the definition varies from person to person and i've often wondered if it is completely subjective or if there is a commonly accepted definition. so....what do YOU think makes someone a douchebag? definitions, examples, visual aids - all welcome. ***evidently i am the only person on earth that breaks it into two words so i have corrected myself*** (i wonder if this topic will be deemed inappropriate?)
6/23/2009 10:30:09 AM i have decided to sell my brand spankin' New 09 Lib Tech Phoenix Blonde BTX 157. these were and are hard to find. it was the first Phoenix with BTX. if you're interested PM me with an offer and zip code (shipping should be $20-30). please be reasonable and don't waste my time. all serious offers will be considered.
12/4/2008 10:49:01 PM normally, i would have been out 5 times already. i haven't missed opening day at belleayre in years and i always go to hunter around thanksgiving. this year i haven't seen any snow yet. so how has it been so far? if it's been great, maybe i can get some secondhand satisfaction. if it has been crappy, i can take comfort in the fact that i haven't missed much. either way, tell me about it.
12/2/2008 11:51:09 PM i am slowly crawling out of the poor house and know that i am not alone in my struggle to deal with the crappy economy but wanting to ride. everything is priced to sell and i am losing money on all of it. i will consider all offers, especially if you can provide evidence that i am asking too much. i just want this stuff to find a happy home. pm with offers, questions, or pic requests. Boards 07 Lib Tech Phoenix Green Girl 157 - Used less than 10 days, in great shape $170 OBO 08 Sierra (Capita) Crew 155 - Barely used, in even better shape Shipping + Best Offer/Greatest Need (DIRT CHEAP) SOLD Bindings 06 Salomon SPX 55 Bindings (fit sz 10+)- Used, but in great shape ($239 new) SOLD 07 Burton P1's Gunmetal M New $110 SOLD Everything Else 07 686 Ace Deploy Down Jacket Black Medium (Puffy, Artist Series)- NEW $100 08 Vans BFB Boots White Sz 10 - Used 3 (half) days, almost new $95 07 Sepia (686) Respect Jacket 20K, fully taped Blood Red Medium - lightly used  $80 **shipping not included - pm with your zip code for estimate
11/9/2008 11:31:47 PM FS: 06-07 Lib Tech Snow Mullet w/ Magne Traction 160 Powder Board Asking $250 shipped within the continental US, but i am accepting reasonable offers (please PM with questions or offers) Living on the East Coast and having bought it (new) during a horrible season, this board is practically new. It is a fantastic board, floats like a dream (smooth and surfy), and has only been ridden in deep powder (duh). It's been out about 5 times: 4 at Baker, a few runs at Loon after a rare EC dump, and one glorious day in the Catskills when i had first tracks on most runs after an even more rare upstate NY dump. I take good care of all of my boards and since this one only came out on special occasions, i always kept it protected, tuned, and waxed. It is almost pristine -  no dings or scratches, only extremely faint binding marks.
4/18/2008 12:54:58 PM finally i am getting to ride again. i will be up there for the 70° weather.
2/14/2008 7:38:47 PM since the conditions will be more like Spring in NJ, i'm taking my first trip out to Mountain Creek this year. only my second time, period. supposed to be like the Bear Mtn of the East Coast.... we'll see.
2/8/2008 2:25:44 PM has anyone ridden their Banana with a setback stance? if so how did it perform? if not, how did it perform in deep snow with no setback? i rode mine in about a foot or so of NW powder, but i am going out tomorrow in much deeper snow. i'm not sure if i should bypass the Banana and go straight to the Mullet.
2/8/2008 7:52:35 AM i know Shaka has got to be loving the hell of out this... have you guys been watching the weather in Washington and Oregon? does anyone else live up here? this is insanity! i was trying to go to Snoqualmie at night, but they kept closing the road to get there. just like the first time i went to Baker, i'm faced with a "Deep Snow Warning" at Baker. luckily it's the Legendary Banked Slalom this weekend so i don't think i will ever be riding alone exactly. Fri Feb 8, 2008, 5:08am New Snowfall : 12 in 30 cm 24 hour Snowfall : 18 in 46 cm Temperature : 29F -2C Weather : Snowing Heavily Slope Conditions : Powder Base at Heather Meadows : 199 in 505 cm Base at Pan Dome : 214 in 544 cm Operation Info : Normal midweek operation out of White Salmon Lodge. Hours : 9:00 am - 3:30 pm Other Info Mt. Baker has received significant snowfall this week, and a deep snow warning is in effect. Be safe and ride with a partner when off groomed runs, staying in visual and voice contact at all times. For more info on tree well and deep snow safety, go to www.treewelldeepsnowsafety.com
2/7/2008 7:08:29 PM i'm in Seattle for work again, and as usual, i'm taking advantage of the free airfare and driving up to Baker. sadly (well, ironically), i can't go for more than the weekend because i have to get home to get ready for a planned trip to Utah. as luck would have it, it's the weekend of the LBS again. hopefully the crowds will stay around the course and leave all the powder to me. the good news is that i will get to demo next year's Libs. you can bet i will be trying out either the Phoenix , Mullet, or Dark Series Banana, and if i can get on one,  a longer Skate Banana.
