5/8/2012 4:23:54 PM Sorry for the delay.. My alerts aren't working right. Will have to pass on the Horroscope but thanks for the offer.  Looking to sell.
5/2/2012 1:27:13 PM Bumpski.
4/14/2012 7:06:05 PM For sale: Sierrascope size 152 -  used with the usual Sierrascope topsheet wear and tear.  The base is excellent.  I didn't take off any of the vinyls, as you can see in the pictures but they all would come off easily.  Local pickup in Fairfield county CT preferred because shipping is a PITA and is expensive.  I'll knock the price down a good chunk if you will come pick it up.  $200 shipped PM me with questions.  Paypal or cash and carry.
1/3/2012 4:07:02 PM Not very long, same with dieting, unless they're making a long-term commitment it's going to fail in a couple weeks. Also it's annoying having all the new resolution people pack the gym for the first 2 weeks of January, haha.
I don't think you should set a resolution unless it's something you really are interested in keeping.  Last year was my first year, ever, to set a resolution (see above post).  I didn't want to make a half hearted attempt at making it happen. I think it's hilarious that people flock during resolution time and no other.  If you want to make a change, why does it have to be on January 1?  Why not July 25, April 1, whatever?
Yeah...that Jan crowd is pretty annoying, but I guess it's good for gym business since you'll see none of those people after the first 2-3weeks.  I do agree though that if you want to make it happen, why wait?  Just start any day of the year to get healthy. I've been drinking way too much soda recently and it's starting to show unfortunately.  Also snowboarding makes me too tired to go to the gym.  I'm getting back into the usual gym routine now that my vacation is over.  2 days of cardio and 2 days of weights/yoga and 1 day of rest usually followed by 2 days of snowboarding on the weekend.
The January crowd is friggin' killing me at the gym.  I am changing my schedule for the next few weeks to go really late at night whenever I can to avoid these guys.  Less chatter, more work people!!!!!!
12/15/2011 1:16:51 PM Bru is my future ex-husband....
12/13/2011 5:23:08 PM He won't compete - it's too dangerous for him to take another knock to the head like that.   Props to Kevin.  He's a great guy and an asset to the sport.
11/20/2011 1:24:10 PM I'd love to get a windows tablet - that would allow me to actually run my main work software but they are pricey, and I wouldn't even drop that coin on a computer.  I mostly want it for teaching because it's easier to tote around to use for presentations and the like.  It would also be handy for some of the research projects I have going because it's (again) easier for me to tote around instead of opening and closing my heavy work laptop.  I don't have real high needs performance-wise and I am not app-crazy like some.  I literally want it mostly as a work adjunct.  I'm a PC and Android phone user so even though I like the iPads, it's easier for me to continue on with Android.
11/20/2011 11:12:16 AM Does anyone have experience with the Samsung tablets?  I would like to invest in one for work/travel.  I'm sure a lot of people will post things like:  "Apple ftw!", but please don't bother because I like the Android platform better. Any experience with other non-Apple tabs would be appreciated as well!

10/26/2011 9:16:59 AM I agree that the cost of tuition is very high.  BUT - don't go to school to study history for 4 years, accruing thousands in debt and then expect to have a job to pay that off with a practically useless body of knowledge and no marketable skill.  Personally, I am several years out of graduate school and still have about $120-125K of debt left to pay off.  BUT - I did my homework pre-college and positioned myself to come out of school and go into a field where there are jobs so that I can pay that off (eventually). Another problem is that many people in this country don't want to and won't work hard.  Many also won't take jobs that are "below them."   I have a doctorate in my field -- but I've worked on farms and doing all kinds of totally unrelated, low paying jobs so I could have employment at one time or another.  My husband has a J.D.  He can't find a job as a paralegal, let alone a lawyer so he is driving for a limo service.  Is it enough money to pay his debts and stay out of financial trouble?  No, but he is trying to do the best he can and it's no one's fault but his own that he chose to go into that field. I have a lot of opinions about the Occupy movement that I don't need to share on the forum.  But, I will say that I believe that these people are protesting in the wrong place.  Regulation is a huge issue and that comes from the government.  We complain about the wealthy like they are at fault for making money and being financially successful.  Sounds like the American dream to me.
10/25/2011 5:22:21 PM Still available with some people interested so PM if interested.
10/23/2011 10:36:31 AM The husband and I are getting back on the wagon starting this week - we took a few weeks off due to me having a back injury that wouldn't mellow out and his work schedule has been nuts (drives for a car service... shitty shitty job).  I haven't been totally off, I've been working out only 3-4 days a week and walking a few miles almost every day.  It was something but not a high enough intensity so I feel like I've turned to mush.  Back to work today for some high rep low weight stuff to get things going again.
10/21/2011 3:38:46 AM burp.
10/20/2011 2:17:24 PM My husband has a Roundhouse which he's been riding for a few years and it's in great shape.  I used to take it out to surf on pow days because it's so fun. I have a Push and a Cadence.  The Push is my favorite board I've ever had.  Topsheets get dinged up, that is snowboarding.  I can tell you that my woodgrain Push is in great shape with about 12-15 days on it.  I ride plenty of trees and bounce my boards off rocks, trees, small children, etc and my Arbors are no worse off than anything else I've ever had.
