9/5/2010 11:44:11 PM If anyone has been up recently to the Aus mountains, can we get an update on the terrain? The snow websites seem to be pretty optimistic about the extent of damage and the 10cm of top up yesterday wasn't too bad either.
9/2/2010 4:15:26 PM Yer lots of rain is going to ruin most of the snow, but the forecasters are on the 'optimistic' side. they are saying that the snowpack is dry and hard enough to take most of the rain.. we shall see anybody going up this weekend :S
8/25/2010 6:10:49 PM yer big falls last night have put quite a lot of fresh snow cover on the resorts.. i've been up waaay too much for my wallet to handle this august! and this weekend is looking good again!! nooo.. or yes! depends on how u look at it...
8/15/2010 7:42:43 PM Ha yer forgot to mention that i saw 2 stunts and a crew at Mt Buller yesterday. Good to see other ppl who shop @ sierra! But i didn't say hi to anyone this time :( anyone going up election weekend to Buller?
8/15/2010 2:44:22 AM Sweet pics JonZap... it looks like the camera on the iphone is quite an improvement over the last. A bit crazy abt ur board tho, i try to always lock mine up (thru the bindings and to the rack) with one of those combo locks... Just got back from a day trip at Buller today, it was pretty windy up there, and was icy too! Burnt Hut carpets are a change?!?! but the run was deserted :S I hope the weather next weekend is better than the crazy winds today. @ grunge, hope ur having fun over there!
7/31/2010 7:52:13 PM Yep. trip for next week for sure. but buller maybe packed like 2 weeks ago! I think i may take the advice and head further to hotham... the extra drive will be a pain tho
7/18/2010 5:45:38 AM @xtremez yer it sounds like i must have seen u and ur mate. (black burton pants) and no im not stalking lol.. saw 1 reverse crew many crews and stunts and a few v spots (one of them was my gf's lol). I didn't expect that there would be so many people, i guess we are all waiting for a good day since the season hasn't been kind to us. btw how is falls creek shaping up? I want to go up for a weekend. where is some good accom off the mountain? Thanks
7/17/2010 6:46:06 PM was at buller yesterday. saw quite a few sierra boards lol... the wombat lift was jam packed the whole day! good weather tho so i guess thats why everyone made the trip out. saw a few guys with sierra crews, i think all, with flow bindings. Do you guys reckon its too abrupt to say "whats ur username on sierra?"
7/4/2010 5:42:24 AM Sucks that forecasts for next weekend don't look like its going to be good weather. I keep delaying my trips! I need to pull the pin and just go.  Btw to those who went to Buller on the weekend, how were the conditions (apart from the huge mass of school kids)? edit: Thanks kyle, you posted just a tad after I posted. Good to know it's got a decent cover, sucks that the tickets are back up huh?
7/3/2010 4:02:18 AM mmm those idiots are all over the dam roads. I only just got my P's 4months back and i hate driving already... due to the amount of douchebags
Yer, its not worth it. You see idiots do that and get caught, fined and end up behind you again when you pass them as they are stopped by the cops. On track with the snow season talk tho, was looking at the cams for buller, sooo packed!!! Was going to head up today but realised it was school holidays and didn't head up. Tomorrow looks to be good with the sun out tho...
7/1/2010 2:22:31 AM Is Buller back up to full lift price tix for this weekend? planning to head up but don't want to pay full price just cos its school holidays!
6/28/2010 12:45:12 AM Yep it was cold this morning. Didnt' want to get up for work! Planning to go up to Buller this weekend, but if they jack up the prices and there is no coverage, then meh... jus have to wait it out. :(
6/25/2010 12:23:56 AM normally stays like this until the end of the day (PST). the crew has been lower i think so hopefully they can get the other boards onsale this weekend :D
6/24/2010 11:06:58 PM I don't think he's from Melbourne because he puts his resort as Perisher.  I've only had experience in staying in Buller's townhouses and it was good.  So I can only recommend Buller at this point. If he is from Melbourne, then go spend the 4 days in Hotham because it's too far away to make it a regular day trip destination.  This way you get to experience other mountains for a few days.
Lol totally misread his question lol.. yer for 4 day trip def go hotham, are the resorts usually booked out by now tho?
6/24/2010 8:45:04 PM depends on which one is closer for you. Probably go Buller for day trip cos Hotham is just too far away, you will be spending more time driving than skiing.
