1/23/2015 12:51:10 PM Hmm..probably should have started a new thread instead. Because 80+ pages of posts are not for 2015...
1/23/2015 12:46:46 PM How lucky is LeGarrette Blount? He quit on the team in Pittsburgh mid-season, then gets picked up by NE and is heading to the Super Bowl? And not just as a benchwarmer...he actually helped the team get there. He's got to be one of the happiest players to be playing next Sunday.
1/23/2015 12:37:27 PM Angry has handled things larger than 144cm...
lol. 144 might be taller than her...
1/23/2015 12:28:47 PM 144 is kind of big for under 5 feet...
1/23/2015 11:48:53 AM Atlanta is by far the best team in the East, and they have no all-star starters..that's just wrong. Meanwhile, in the West, the gimpy Kobe was voted as a started..really? They should take fan votes out, because it's just a popularity contest now..not really best players in the league.
1/22/2015 7:09:29 PM ^ Yeah..my Engrish sucks..ploduct of ESL crasses...
1/22/2015 5:18:49 PM Looks like nobody knows how the balls were under-inflated. Belichick says Brady would be the one that knows. Then Brady says he didn't do anything and doesn't know anything. He says he picks the balls that are sent to the refs to inspect before the game and expected them to be the same condition when they come back and are used in the game. And because he only touches the ball for a few seconds to throw the ball, he's not squeezing the ball to see how inflated it is during a play. All of that makes sense, but, it doesn't explain how the balls were deflated. So, here's my take. Brady picked the balls, and the ones he liked were already under-deflated because those give him a better grip. The under-deflated balls were sent to the refs and the refs didn't really inspect the balls like they should. I mean, they passed the eye test and that was that.
1/22/2015 4:44:36 PM Congrats on getting 10K pts! What board are you getting?
Thanks!  I'm probably going to look for a board for my sister-in-law since she doesn't have one yet since she went once for the first time last year.  I'll pick whichever board that's in stock for her size, maybe even go youth size if all of the women sizes are too big.
Your sister-in-law is a midget too?

1/22/2015 12:25:36 PM Looks like there's a chance for some precipitation midweek next week. But, might be coming down as rain, and not snow, because it'll be pretty warm...
1/22/2015 12:20:58 PM Chandler Parsons was on fire in the 2nd quarter last night and blew out the game against the Timberwolves. I'm starting to like the rookie they got with Rondo from the Boston trade, Dwight Powell. He's always got a motor and flying all over the place. Now, he if he can hit some shots and be more aggressive, he'll be a good backup PF/C.
1/22/2015 12:14:04 PM Yup, the Bears did a great job on their coaching hires. Fox is a proven coach that turned the Panthers around from a 1-win team to a Super Bowl team in 2 years. They went to 2 more playoffs after that. In the 4 years he was at Denver, they won the division all 4 years and went to 1 Super Bowl. Getting Adam Gase was unexpected. He was being talked about more as a potential HC with other teams. Having him to head the offense definitely improved this coaching class. Vic Fangio, the ex-49ers DC, led the SF defense to top 5 defenses in all of his 4 years there. I actually don't understand why the 49ers didn't promote him to be their HC. Ed Donatell will work well with Fangio. Now, if "Jake" Cutler can throw less interceptions, Bears will be an interesting team to follow next season. In case you missed it, John Fox kept saying "Jake" during his press conference, instead of "Jay".
1/21/2015 2:14:54 PM ^ Yeah, the refs do handle the ball in between snaps. They take the ball and place it at the right place. I'm guessing you can't really tell the difference unless you squeeze the balls, which I don't think they would normally do during a game.
1/21/2015 1:39:11 PM ^ Ok, about 2 hrs before the game, each team hands off 12 balls to the refs for inspection/approval. Then the balls stay w/ the refs until just before the game starts. Then the ball is given to each team's ball boy and/or equipment manager. The ball boy and/or equipment manager gives the balls to the players for warm ups before the game and on the sidelines during the game. The players give the balls back to the ball boy and/or equipment manager, who in turn gives it to the refs to put into play. The refs put it on the ground and the center hikes the ball to the QB. Now, this is how the NFL found out about the deflated balls the Pats used. Brady threw an interception in the 2nd quarter. The Colts player took the intercepted ball and brought it to Colts' sideline and the Colts' equipment manager (probably to keep as a souvenir). The equipment manager thought the ball felt funny and informed one the coaches. The coach notified the GM, the GM notified the NFL, the NFL told the refs to check the balls at half time, and found 11 of the 12 balls were under-inflated. Only 1 wasn't..I'm guessing that's the one they would use for kicking/punting/FGs? Now, here the funny part. Since the refs checked the balls at half time, I assume they would have properly inflated the balls before giving them to the Pats to use in the 2nd half. And Brady actually played better in the 2nd half, with the properly inflated balls.
