7/24/2014 4:57:08 PM ^ my bad..all the molinas look the same...
7/24/2014 1:52:12 PM That's the reason Dallas went hard for another veteran PG so they'll have enough players to play the position when Felton does something stupid. They now carry 4 PGs! Mavs roster for the upcoming season: Center: Tyson Chandler, Brandan Wright, Greg SmithPower forward: Dirk Nowitzki, Al-Farouq AminuSmall forward: Chandler Parsons, Jae Crowder, Richard Jefferson, Eric Griffin (non-guaranteed contract)Shooting guard: Monta Ellis, Ricky LedoPoint guard: Jameer Nelson, Raymond Felton, Devin Harris, Gal Mekel
7/24/2014 1:25:58 PM ^ He's only an intern, so he doesn't care. He'll risk losing his internship to get laid. But, he's not thinking about what will happen when he puts this internship on his resume and his future prospective employer call to ask questions...
7/24/2014 12:53:10 PM For children's equipment, I would look into rental/trade-in programs at your local sporting goods stores. Because kids grow out of equipment so fast, it doesn't make sense to buy new equipment all the time. With these programs, you pay an upfront amount (about $100 here) for a full set of board, bindings, and boots. Then use them until they grow out of of it, then pay for each part that you want to replace (about $25 each here). So, if you want to keep using the same board and bindings, but need larger boots (which you'll need on an annual basis), you just pay $25. I've never taught a child with autism, so I wouldn't know how different it would be from teaching a child without autism. But, with my son, who started at 4 and is now 8, it took a lot of patience. And a willingness to call it a day at any moment he feels he's had enough. It could be 2 bunny slope runs, or just one morning. But, we stopped whenever he wanted to stop. Of course, I would push a little and encourage him to continue. Sometimes he would, sometimes he wouldn't. But, I roll with whatever he wanted to do. No pressure. That way, he'll have a good experience and have fun. Being forced to do something he doesn't want to do would not be fun for him. As of this past season, he's able to ride with me on blue runs almost all day, with a nice long lunch break. I leave him with my beginner friends who want to rest an hour before the lifts close and go do a couple of "real" runs by myself. The most important thing is to make it fun for the kid so they'll enjoy it and want more of it in the future. Before long, you'll be telling them to slow down so you can catch up to them..haha
7/24/2014 11:49:37 AM Cardinals' Jose Molina delivered snacks to his brother Yadier Molina who plays for the Rays, at home plate, during the game. Great brotherly love  http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/yahoo-sports-minute/yadier-molina-has-snacks-delivered-in-1st-inning-to-his-brother-who-s-catching-at-home-plate-045131826.html
7/24/2014 11:21:49 AM Looks like Jameer Nelson is finalizing a contract with the Mavericks. He'll be competing for minutes with Devin Harris and Raymond Felton at the PG position. Mavs are also signing Al-Farouq Aminu to replace Rashard Lewis whose contract was voided after his failed physical. That would fill Dallas' roster for the season. Time for Coach Carlisle to work his magic again with another new group of players. People are saying they're now the 4th team among the Spurs, Thunder, and Clippers at the top of the West. If last year's team took the Spurs to Game 7 in the playoffs, then this year team is better and could beat the Spurs!
7/24/2014 11:08:54 AM hahaha...he must be pretty desperate to be going for the old and fat ones.
7/23/2014 2:26:29 PM Yeah, I think they should be eligible for academic scholarships just like any other student. Basically, they should be treated as a normal student and they can get a job, and their job is to play sports for the school. If they have an academic scholarship, they still get paid the same amount to "work" for the school like other student athletes, they'll just need to pay less for other expenses because they have an academic scholarship that helps them pay for school.
7/23/2014 12:47:03 PM Rashard Lewis failed his physical and Dallas will void his contract. He's going to need knee surgery...So, the Mavs still have 2 roster spots open: a PF to backup Dirk, and another PG.
7/23/2014 12:29:49 PM I just drink a big cup of coffee every day... I gave the Chinese homestay boys a little lecture this morning because they speak Chinese all day and play on their phones whenever they're with other people who are speaking English. They're supposed to be learning English and experiencing American culture, and I'm sure their parents paid good money for them to be in the program. But, they're not doing anything to help themselves improve their English. They can speak Chinese all day in China, and they can play on their phones in China. They don't need to come all the way here to do that. They'e supposed to learn English, not do what they can do in China, in Chinese... We'll see if they make any changes today...
7/23/2014 12:17:18 PM What if we just pay the college athletes, like interns, and don't give them the scholarships and perks? Make them pay for the lodging, food, tuition, transportation, equipment, medical care, and everything else like every other student. They work as an athlete, like their classmates who work at the local burger joint. If they have enough money leftover, then they can spend that on whatever they want. If they don't have enough, then they have to get their families to help or get a loan. Just like any other student. I think the concept works, because the athlete are working for the school, who is earning a profit off them. Just like any other job, the company is earning a profit off its employees.
7/23/2014 12:03:27 PM Had a giant corn dog and a BBQ turkey leg at the California State Fair yesterday
7/21/2014 6:54:31 PM ^ And both of them give out good boards too...
7/21/2014 6:01:24 PM 21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ Mt 7:21-23 How many of these worship leaders fall into the above? If we knew, we'll really be enlightened...
7/21/2014 5:52:31 PM Feed your chinese kids fried everything!    We were going to go to the OC fair but decided to wait for the LA fair next month instead plus it's closer.  [/QUOTE] the chinese kids will actually be in SF tomorrow...so, we're going without them..haha
