4/29/2016 12:07:28 PM So how does everyone feel about their team's draft choices from Round 1? The Cowboys took the player I had hoped they would take, the RB from Ohio State, Ezekiel Elliott. I know some of the analysts are saying Dallas didn't need to get a star RB behind that o-line. McFadden had over 1,000 yards last season and they had already added Alfred Morris. But Elliott is one of the most versatile RBs in the draft for a while. You just can't leave a once-in-a-decade RB on the board. So I love it, the 2nd edition of the Aikman/Irvin/Smith combo: Romo/Bryant/Elliott  Now, they need to use the rest of the picks on the defensive side... Laremy Tunsil fell to 13th pick when he was supposed to be a top-5 talent. Personally, I wouldn't take him at all with all his baggage. He had some violations in college, and had been linked to weed use. And his stepfather was suing him for assault. It's clear that he's got a bunch of off field issues and those will probably affect whether he's even on the field in the future. Yes, he may be a great OT, but he can't block nobody if he's not suited up.

10/20/2015 2:08:43 PM Pre-season is almost over and the regular season is about to start in a week. Time to start a new thread for the season. The Mavs have been winless in the pre-season with only 2 games left. Of course, they're playing without a few regular season starters in Deron Williams, Wesley Matthews, and Chandler Parsons. It's a good opportunity for the bench to get more game-minutes and see what they can do. John Jenkins has been a nice surprise averaging around 20pts per game. They need to get better play from the centers though. I'm hoping that Javale McGee will play close to his pre-injury form and Dwight Powell take a few steps up in his performance. I think the Mavs will be fighting for the 7th/8th seed in the West this year...
10/2/2015 11:43:58 AM http://goo.gl/7yYzje The Vans Infuse is a top of the line boot that epitomizes the creed that defines the entire snowboard boot line: ultimate customization. Pair that with weatherized materials like the DWR-coating of the Jonesport Mountain Edition Jacketand the Scotchguard-treated uppers on the Sk8-Hi Del Pato MTE, and you have a kit complete to battle whatever winter will throw at you this year.

10/17/2014 1:38:34 PM With a few pre-season games in the books, it's about time we start the discussion for the upcoming season. Kobe calls ESPN a bunch of idiots for raking him 40th best current player in the league. With Andre Iguodala, Klay Thompson, Rondo, and DWade right above him. I think it's a pretty good representation of where his game is at right now, given his age and coming back from injury. Not sure what the big deal is. Just win on the court and let the talking heads do the talking. The East looks like it's the Cavs to lose at this point. I don't think the Bulls w/ Noah and a healthy DRose can beat them. Miami is not close any more. And not sure which Pacers team is showing up this year, the one from early last season, or the one that fell apart at the end. The West will be much more competitive with Spurs, OKC, Clippers, Rockets, and Mavs. I think Rockets got worse after losing Chandler Parsons. OKC will miss KD for a bit. Clippers look good. And the revamped Mavs should be competitive as well. The West will be fun to watch.
8/21/2014 1:01:54 PM We've been posting on the old 2013-2014 thread when we really should have one for the current season. My Cowboys can put up points on the scoreboard, but they will also let their opponents do the same. I'm hoping they'll do better than 8-8 this season..but I wouldn't put money on it..
8/1/2014 5:58:18 PM Hey guys, I think this has been discussed before. But I can't find it off the useless search function. Anyways, what app do you guys use to track your riding at the resorts? Please also specify whether it's an iOS app or an Android app. I'm looking for Android...
10/10/2013 2:46:02 PM Pre-Season games have started, time to start talking about the upcoming season!   With Derek Rose coming back, will the Bulls give the Heat a run for the East? Will Brooklyn's improvements make them a challenger?   With Dwight Howard going to Houston to join James Harden, will that make them the team to beat in the West? Or will the Thunder and Spurs still be on top?   I'm a Mavs fan...I know pre-season games don't count, but I see that Monta Ellis is working on getting assists, and not just shooting the rock. If that continues, and with the combination of Jose Calderone in the backcourt, it looks like there will be a lot of ball sharing, setting up for easy shots for everyone. I think their offense whould be fine. But, I'm concerned about their defense. Also, I think they're weak at the center position with Samuel Dalembert as the starter. Hopefully, they'll be able to trade up to a better center and make a run for the playoffs.
5/14/2013 4:25:06 PM I'll be going to Park City for week during the summer and will be visiting Salt Lake City during the week as well. What are some "must eat" places around there? We will have small children with us and we're not looking for the ultra exclusive places. Just family-friendly places that locals like to go to. Or iconic places that tourists must try when they're there (like a Carnegie's Deli when in NYC, Voodoo Donuts when in Portland, Boudin Sourdough when in SF, etc.). Oh, and we're not into wine/alcohol. Thanks for any input!
11/8/2012 12:09:36 PM I remember seeing a site a few years back that's similar to Whiskey Militiia and Steep&Cheap, but specialize in outdoor stuff for kids. I can't seem to find it now. Anybody know of a site like that?
10/18/2012 11:24:08 AM Has anybody stayed here before? How long is the drive to Heavenly's NV base lodge in the winter? Is there a shuttle that takes people from the resort to the lifts?
8/16/2012 10:55:40 AM I currently have the Flow Quattro and I like the ability to strap in quickly and go down the hill. I sometimes have problems kicking my foot in hard enough so the boot back will get in the way of the highback while lifting to lock in.   So, I'm looking to get a new pair of bindings (espeically since I'm near the 3000 pt mark for free bindings), and would like to stick with rear-entry. Which rear-entry bindings are the best in your experience between the Flow NXT AT, GNU Street, or K2 Cinch CTS/CTC. Please comment on weight, ease of entry, responsiveness, stiffness, adjustability, etc. I'm leaning toward the GNU right now, but I can't find enough reviews to be fully convinced. Thanks!
7/26/2012 4:09:48 PM I've seen some great pictures taken by the SS/tru members and thought some of you might have more knowledge in this and give me some insight.   I'm looking for a compact camera that can take pictures while shooting videos. Either a point-and-shoot type or a compact system camera. I'd like fast auto-focus so I can take pictures without a lag. My wife likes to take videos of my kids and sometimes want still shots while she does that. So, being able to do both at the same time with the same camera is a must.   I have a Canon SLR, but it's not the most portable. I'd like something that I can put in a pocket and take pictures while on vacation or just out hiking or doing things where lugging a SLR around is not ideal. The camera is mostly for my wife, and she doesn't want anything bulky or too complicated to use.   I've looked at the Nikon 1 J1 and the Sony DSC-RX100. Are there others that I should consider? Anything cheaper? Thanks.
1/25/2012 11:28:02 AM You can get a free lift ticket to Canyons Resort, Park City Mountain Resort or Deer Valley Resort if you fly into SLO the same day. See details and black out dates here:   http://www.visitparkcity.com/quickstart/?quickstartstep=1
