10/1/2010 10:54:43 AM Anyone else get their 10/11 season passes in the mail yet? I just got mine already, and now it's taunting me... teasing me that I could come up whenever I want... but there's no reason yet you tricky little plastic bastard. Why must they send them out so early? It just makes the wait seem that much longer
9/2/2010 4:23:28 PM This sounds pretty awesome, I'm surprised nothing like it was already around (I'm nowhere near good enough to do it so I hadn't looked for it). Hardcore heli boarding/skiing on 100k backcountry acres right on the pacific crest! http://www.pacificcrestheliguides.com/heliskiingandboarding.html Anyone here ballsy enough (and rich enough) to go for it?
5/18/2010 5:32:34 PM Title says it all, looking for M/L 2010 Forces (preferably green or black) or Medium 2010 CO2's (preferably black). Show me what you got!
4/28/2010 7:47:20 PM This is an awesome jacket, but it's just too big for me (5' 6" 145lbs). I just picked up a smaller one for myself so this one has to go. Not sure of all the specs, but it is in like-new condition only worn a few times. Lots of pockets, powder skirt, pit vents, etc. $45 shipped in the US.
4/27/2010 12:22:53 PM So I made the classic mistake of buying the boots which were more comfy, instead of the half-size down which was a tiny bit tight. The first morning they were perfect, but after a full weekend of riding they packed out so much that they're way too big now and I'm getting massive heel lift. These have only been ridden for two days and are in excellent shape. I did some minor shaving down of the sole edges at the widest point to fit better into my bindings (can take pictures if you're interested in a trade... doesn't have any negative effects). They're great boots, I loved them when they fit right. It's a total shot in the dark, but if anyone has the same boots in a 9.5 and thinks they're a bit too small: I would love to trade your 9.5 for my 10 so we're both better off. Would consider other similar boots as well.
4/23/2010 11:30:31 AM Just letting you know that the links in Private Message Notification emails are incorrect and lead to a white screen (fatal error). Link in email: http://www.sierrasnowboard.com/forum/profilepage_pmmsg.asp?PF=224675&ID=303357 Correct link for intended page: http://www.sierrasnowboard.com/profilepage_pmmsg.asp?PF=224675&ID=303357 (The unnecessary "/forum" directory just needs to be removed from the links in the emails to make them work)
4/10/2010 6:02:51 PM I just got an $80 gift card this week as a price adjustment on the new setup I bought myself last month, and at the same time noticed an insane sale on some women's boards and bindings. So I decided to spend the giftcard + a little bit extra on a setup for my girlfriend... and she loves it -- and now she loves Sierra too (not to mention, me ) Just finished putting the final touches on it (rotated highbacks, setup straps, etc) -- so we're ready for its maiden voyage at Sierrapalooza next weekend Thanks Sierra!
3/22/2010 11:12:56 PM I just bought the final piece of my setup puzzle ('10 Vans Encore boots w/ the Boa system, super comfy and easy to tighten) and installed/setup my bindings (Contact SL's) on the board (Sierra RC) with them. -15/12 stance, centered on the board. Rotated the highbacks too, so they're pretty much perfectly parallel with the board edge. Everything feels and looks pretty darn good to me, but what do I know... I'm a n00b So, people who actually know their shit: how does this look? I tried to center everything as well as I could. It seems like there's more overhang than any of my rental setups had... although I wasn't really thinking about it or paying attention, so maybe they had it too...
3/22/2010 1:54:26 PM I have a couple things I bought from Sierra that I need to exchange for different sizes. If anyone is heading through Sac on their way to the mountain this week/weekend and wouldn't mind stopping by and dropping off a package for me, I'll buy you a beer or 6... a lot easier than dealing with return shipping    I'm in SF but can deliver my stuff to be returned to you pretty much anywhere in the bay. Thanks!
3/19/2010 2:37:46 AM I was searching the internets for some additional how-to's and tips on hot waxing tools and technique before buying anything and trying it myself for the first time, when I stumbled upon this dude: http://www.sentex.net/~mwandel/winter/snowboard_waxing.html Now, I completely admit to being a n00b and not knowing much yet, however I have NEVER seen anyone here mention this technique, and this site is really random. Has anyone else ever seen or tried this technique? It appears to do a halfway decent job of waxing his board really fast with no mess, and barely uses any wax (no waste and no scraping). Plus, I already have a heat gun. The only thing I'm a little sketchy about in his method is using a paper towel for final buffing/polishing, I would probably use a nylon brush or something. But yeah-- thoughts? Opinions? I don't see any reason not to give this a try...
3/18/2010 2:41:11 PM First of all, this is an awesome community and I'm stoked to be a part of it. Was referred here by a cool guy I met at Sports Basement when returning a rental board, and ended up buying tons of stuff here -- got it in 2 days with the free shipping method! Freaking sweet! The selection of products in every category here is amazing, except one: wax. The only thing I can't find that I wanted to buy, was some good all temperature wax, but the only wax I could find here is a can of some afterburner paste. Am I missing something, or do you guys not sell any other wax? Why not? And if not, do you have a recommendation of where else to get it? eBay? Thanks
