9/7/2011 12:02:47 PM ok..I'll take that advice..the only reason I was looking new was this could more than likely be my ONLY bike...dont see myself buying another one...so I figured I'd treat myself and buy new..plus the deal Kawa's running is really nice
9/6/2011 5:54:25 PM I'm about to be a new rider and have a few questions.  My wife gave me the green light and after 10 years of dating and such..I can finally get a bike.  I haven't rode a dirt bike since I was in my teens.  I got my learners permit a few weeks ago and and looking to get a bike real soon.  I'm leaning hard towards an 2011 ZX-6R.  I called for some insurance quotes and was shocked by the prices...does anyone remember their first rate?  I may have to have another policy written to include the house our cars and the bike if I cant get a decent quote alone...problem is I have no clue what a reasonable rate should be.  The 2 lowest quotes so far have been 1000 and 1300 for the year.  A friend of mine said he pays 360 for his 09...but I do know his policy is under his parents, but the bike is in his name..and he's younger than I am....
3/26/2011 1:54:11 PM heading up to 7springs tomorrow...anyone else planning on getting out for one last hoorah? scratch that...the trip just got cancelled..lol..oh well
3/23/2011 7:00:29 PM That Buick on 40's or however big they are will be ugly to anyone who didn't grow up in the south..but thats how we did things in the deep south.  First thing people did was slap the biggest rims they could afford and some music (a sound system) on a car.  Paint and body work was the last thing done.
3/22/2011 2:49:37 PM Eh...I've started hitting the bowling alley again.  I bowl the winter league...but once I started riding..I stopped going to tournaments.  Now its time to get my timing back and hit the local tournaments again in time for the Lilac Tournament in Rochester in June.   Funny I was watching some show a few days ago, and it was all about Alaska's State Troopers...interesting.
3/18/2011 2:41:54 PM Dont worry Spenser..its still a classic..and a good song.  This coming from someone who grew up in the south...
3/16/2011 7:20:30 PM I was shocked to see this on the new today.  He brought a new flava to the rap game and was in many hits.  He has a smooth voice and sad to see him go so early...but with his health, at least he isn't suffering....his most know classic
3/16/2011 7:16:38 PM I just seen this video on facebook..pretty crazy..and that really coulda ended a whole lot worse...
3/14/2011 8:04:24 PM Liberty, Whitetail, and Roundtop are closed for the season.
3/13/2011 4:34:31 AM Agreed in a since.  I wish the sales could be the same.  It even temps people who weren't even thinking of grabbing anything else to reconsider and shell out some money when the prices get really really low.  Fact is...sales haven't started or may not start, and that those extreme sales could be a thing of the past.  Good things don't always last forever...rules and business change...its part of life.
3/12/2011 9:10:39 PM and why's that?..b/c you don't find it funny?
3/12/2011 9:06:13 PM What does a fat white chick and a red brick have in common? They both end up getting laid by a mexican
3/11/2011 4:06:53 PM hahaahah you barely see black people on the mountain where i live
Thats because there are very few snowbro's period. 2 reasons: (1) Many hate the snow and cold (How many blacks do really see in cold climate regions of the world??) (2) mountain sports are expensive and there it restricts access to many lower income families including our snowbro's from the hood.
By far, the dumbest thing I've seen today.
gifted..I dont know how it is out west...but I get a variety of reactions here.  Most people are really cool..but I do get the occasional stare...then lean in to their buddy...and then the other person looks right back at me and chuckles....when that happens I just stare right back.  Sometimes...people will let a chair pass if I pull up next to them and skate up to ride the chair...guess I scare some people.  A lot of people are fascinated with my hair.  I understand that not a lot of black people snowboard so I expect it.  In time more will get out....they just need to be exposed to it..thats all..IMO.

3/9/2011 2:50:07 PM I had the same issue with boardslides and noseslides at first.  You need to remember to stay off your edges and find the right body position, bend your knees and keep your weight over your board.  I'm now in the process of trying to get frontside boardslides and its the same process for me...practice and muscle memory is all you can keep shooting for.
