3/16/2011 7:20:30 PM I was shocked to see this on the new today.  He brought a new flava to the rap game and was in many hits.  He has a smooth voice and sad to see him go so early...but with his health, at least he isn't suffering....his most know classic
3/7/2011 12:34:52 PM I'm having an issue doing this, and really would like to stomp this trick out before the season ends here.  I've corrected my first 2 problems which were dipping my shoulder down causing me to semi cork off the lip, then I got my rotation down and am able to spin the whole thing, but now every time I get ready to land I keep seating it, washing out, or having to put my hand down and not getting it clean.  I try to see my landing but its all a damn blur.  My question is, is it supposed to be that way, and I just gotta get used to it or do I need to look elsewhere instead of down between my legs?  Once I finish spinning, its like I'm waiting to feel the ground, instead of seeing it and knowing how I'm landing.
3/4/2011 3:47:51 PM I'm sure some have heard of this..I just seen it in tv about the 16yr old 2 sport athlete that collapsed after scoring the game winning lay up.  It just makes me realize how short life can be, and the reason why we should cherish moments in our life as well as others. http://www.sportsrageous.com/16-year-old-dies-after-making-winning-basket-03-04-2011
2/18/2011 12:27:00 PM I have watched Doug's videos numerous times, and see exactly what he does, and understands the directions, but I'm missing something somewhere.  I can do middle grabs and shifty's with no problem what-so-ever.  Whenever I attempt a nose grab or tail grab...I flail in the air and do the whole "rolling down the windows" things.  I'm just looking for a small tip, yes I know I have to keep trying..and I still do, but I'm doing something wrong and can't figure it out.  It has something to do with having one leg bent and the other straight..I tend to drift a little and rotate towards the right which puts my back downhill (I'm regular).  Middle grabs, straight airs, and shifty's I don't the issue.  My question to those who can efficiently do the grabs is, when I come off the lip of the jump, should I be square in the air?  Meaning should I open to the left a little while bringing the board up...or rotate the board left, which would have me square to the landing, complete the grab then release the board and rotate back and land?...I hope I made that picture clear.  That might not even be my issue, but I'm looking for a small tip that will correct my problems with this.  Thanks
2/14/2011 5:47:21 AM I finally got some footage and can see some of my flaws...the videos are short.  The first one is funny...I jumped...did a half arse grab..then my friend comes and and "attempts" to jump..lmao.  Second one is a box and a small rail.  We had fun. He's the latest...I've gotten a lot better at jumping now compared to the first video.  Its taken on a different camera wish there was a better zoom or angle but I wasn't sure how it would turn out.
2/8/2011 9:40:57 AM Anyone else who spends time on Facebook find themselves looking for the "like" button on posts and comments?  I do on just about every topic...ugh
2/7/2011 6:56:00 PM This is my second year riding, and I have been in the park for a week now.  I enjoy it in there for days when I have to ride alone.  I may try to grab another board with income tax coming soon and end of the year sales.  I've spent the last few hours reading reviews and posts on different boards.  I need some clarity on a "park" board and a "freestyle" board if there's any difference at all.  It seems like there are boards that will pretty much only handle park, and some that are soft enuff for park but can handle some regular groomers as well.  As of now I'm 5'9 about 165 and ride a 155 Sierra RC.  I have my mind set on something 151-149 and do want reverse camber.  I've been lookin at the Capita boards and dont get the whole series of indoor and outdoor...and stairmaster...so on and so forth.  From reading it looks like some are just park..and others can do both.  I also like the Forum Destroyer..I cant find any boards in the size I'm looking for, but I'm open to suggestions.  I know Lib Tech boards are good..but they maybe outta my price range..lol..at least all the ones I've seen
1/31/2011 7:20:37 PM I'm trying to get into the park more...boxes I'm getting better at...but rails scare the crap outta me.  I just started attempting the smaller ones with little success.  I do think some of it has to do with me speed checking too much but I want to be in control.  Any pointers on how to maintain a straight board on them, so I can ride them all the way thru?  Or just anything in general to help me get past them.
1/17/2011 6:22:39 AM Anyone have a suggestion on how to keep air from seeping into goggles?  Yesterday at the bottom of my runs when I was picking up a lot of speed my eyes would be watering..I would have to stop to wipe them.  I have a goggle gasket that came with the helmet.  I'm not sure that will prevent the air from coming in.  Anyone have this problem or a remedy for it?
1/7/2011 9:48:40 PM Anyone riding that day?....hit me up..reply or inbox please....will be there with one friend..but the more the merrier!
1/4/2011 1:51:21 PM Ok..so one of my friends sister gives lessons at one of the resorts here.  He asked her did they have many black people that come out...b/c usually its not too many of us on the mountains where I go.  She replied..yea I had a few "ski bro's" learn to snowboard the other day...I dont know bout yall..but that was funny to me..so I told him to tell her I'm stealin that one...haha.
1/2/2011 5:45:50 PM Anyone goin to either of these places tomorrow night?  I might want to go, but would like to have someone to ride with if possible.  I've never night ridden before..and my night pass just kicked in as you all would know.  I'd like to take advantage of it.
12/26/2010 3:29:39 PM All the times I've been out riding, I've never double checked my binding straps, or screws.  I will start from now on.  Luckily this happened before I even got on the lift.  I had just bought my ticket...was strapping in..and my ankle strap came right off..lol.  I took it in to the pro shop and got it fixed for 4 bucks..but just a good thing it didnt happen while I was on a run.  I'm sure there are plenty that do this as routine..but I have never until now..lol.
12/20/2010 4:36:05 AM was pretty nice to see a few people from here out riding.  I think i seen atleast 4 sierra boards as well.
12/8/2010 2:19:41 PM anyone else planning on being there these days?
