1/24/2011 1:00:48 AM Last season here in New Zealand spring at Turoa, The park had turned to slush, hadn't been in their since the morning on the XL jump line so miss-judged the run up needed to clear the jump ended up landing right on the knuckle and it bounced me back into the air ended up landing nose first at the base and getting owned... got up after being on the ground for a minute looked at my board the whole top sheet a huge crack on the tail end... Had some bad bails and falls...but I just ride the pain off or wait it out

6/16/2010 11:19:10 PM Hey there, it really depends what you are into, I liked remarkables because of the all natural burton stash park and its terrain. Make sure you check out cardrona which I really like because it has a great park and jump line plus loads of intermediate and advance trails and terrain.
6/11/2010 5:22:44 PM oops was meant to say without smelling
6/11/2010 5:20:17 PM If you want thermals that are incredibly warm and can be worn for days with smelling check out merino wool thermals like icebreakers. Icebreaker website
6/11/2010 2:27:16 PM Remarkables has a nice long beginners trail that goes right from the top to the base of the mountain. Have a look at the Remarkables Trail Map So that would be my choice for the longest beginners run!!! Once you feel confident on a board or skis there is then loads of sweet runs at remarkables...My next choice for beginners terrain is Cardrona's beginner runs (they are smaller), however there is a great range of runs once you get more confident loads of intermediate!!! Cheers, Ben
6/11/2010 6:09:53 AM Hey There, I live in New Zealand you will love Queenstown great scenery and atmosphere. There is Coronet Peak only 20mins from Queenstown which is quite good. It sports a range of terrain 25% Beginner, 45% Intermediate and 30% Advanced. However It does not have much of a park if you are into that. The Remarkables is not too far either (45 mins from Queenstown) and is one of my favourite resorts in the region!!! Has a great park and has a "the burton stash" which is a all natural terrain park. 30% beginner, 40% Intermediate and 30% advanced Then another favourite Cardrona Ski field located between Wanaka and Queenstown across from snowpark. Cardrona is a great skifield with 25% beginner terrain, 55% intermediate terrain and 20% advanced terrain. It has an great park with halfpipes. Across from Cardrona is Snowpark nz. This place is great for those who love anything to do with park features. There is beginner features as well as intermediate to advanced features. Great fun!!! These are the main ones if you want more info on the skifields and what they cater for check out this website by clicking here So that is a tiny bit about Queenstown you can google each resort for even more info. There is also a plenty of other attractions around Queenstown for those days when the weathers bad and one more note is you will need a four wheel drive not all access routes up to the mountains are sealed, most of them are gravel. Plus hire chains you will most probably need them... Hoped that helped
6/11/2010 3:56:00 AM NZ seasons just kicked off - Turoa Opens on 19th June Can't wait to get up there hopefully a sick park like last year!!!
6/11/2010 3:49:48 AM Well it really depends what you feel is best!!! I have tried a few stances but for me I find 15 degrees front and -6 back works great.
