7/12/2011 10:56:35 AM Again, as timmay_650 also said: It´s a good bang for low buck. You won´t get the full service of a Goretex-mask (if there is one) but if you´re not the "sensitive" kind of guy it might work pretty well. Had no reason to get something else yet. Even in 1-2° below 0° F... And I guess we´re all on the same page that there´s not much better than a face full of fresh pow..wait, what?!
7/11/2011 5:07:47 PM Just took a look at a table to get that Celsius - Fahrenheit thing clear. -18° C is a little (-0,4°F) below 0°Fahrenheit. Might have been -19°C which would be -2,2°F. As said..I had no problems at all and yes it helped me stay warm and comfy =)
7/11/2011 2:10:47 PM Some personal experience, since I wear regular cotton bandanas from time to time: I had no problems so far. hullus is right, they will get wet n freeze. But I had no major issue w/ that. I was not getting uncomfortable cause of the bandana. Coldest days I wore one were -18° C and it REALLY helped. You gotta pull it down from time to time (i.e. when you´re waiting in the lift line or riding the lift w/ no cold wind hitting you). Guess the ones w/ fleece are a bit better, but don´t know if the fleece is a solution for the moisture of the breath. Breathable Goretex may help..but have never heard of such a bandana. Guess some of those facemasks are available in Goretex. Alas i would recommend the cotton bandana as a cheap solution. Depends on how you handle/like it. It helps to have a 2nd bandana in your pocket so you can switch during the day. Just my 2... ;)
6/12/2011 9:11:44 PM I am a Nowitness! Outstanding job from the Mavericks. They really showed what a TEAM can pull off. It´s so much more than just individual talent. Guess that´s why I LOVE THIS GAME =) Am I allowed to quote one of the most talented player of all times? "Karma is a #$*§" Thank you and good nite folks
6/9/2011 12:55:56 PM Darn..that´s truly genius! Just make sure the graphics are alright. Some people might not tell the difference...
6/9/2011 12:35:46 PM Stating the obvious... But please, do not lock this fred. I mean, come on..talking about "fake-snowboards" is just outright hilarious =) This thread made my day! Catching on w/ the Alquaeda-theory: Maybe they just had a little switcheroo thing going on w/ the snow the board was constructed for. Is there a label on it saying "Made in Colombia"?
6/7/2011 1:56:22 AM Just came back from the "Rock im Park"-festival yesterday and had a great blast!! What I was really wondering, since there were a lot of American guys, if you guys know of any festivals in Europe/Germany or have ever been at one? System Of A Down were killing it saturday evening and I have bruises all over me, but hack was it fun to be in the moshpit in front of the stage and be part of some 1h30min anarchy =D Can´t really tell if my personal highlight was SOAD, In Flames or Disturbed...love the sound of In Flames and the energy Disturbed are bringing!
5/5/2011 2:21:25 PM BEAT L.A. =) As a German I sure have to support Dirk! And he really deserves another shot at the title. But it´s going to be a long series..despite the fact of 2 steals in L.A. I just hope Kobe doesn´t start the hero-mode and Gasol keeps on playing like he does..inefficient. So again: BEAT L.A. =) PS: What about the other matchups? My guess is Dallas - Memphis with DAL advancing to the finals and Chicago - Miami with MIA advancing to the finals... Boy I love my League Pass..and I hate the times game are played..really gets you screwed over here =/
4/17/2011 6:45:36 PM Dang..well, just use the direct link for the video. As MrMeaty said, it´s worth the 2:40 min of your life ;) You gotta use the BBcodes..here´s a list of commands you can use (actually it is just the list linked in the "Post Reply" box: http://www.trusnow.com/forum/BBcodes.asp
4/17/2011 4:59:08 PM +1 for the Japs...they rule the ground-business! Here´s another vid, a lil older but I like it more since they are not just pressing, buttering and spinning but also flipping (!!!) on grundtracks..and not just "simple" frontflips =) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FsrgTU3tH88 (the link if you like to watch it fullscreen)
3/28/2011 1:52:53 PM + 1 for the duckstance at +15/-15 (to get a good start and maybe adjust it) Most of the guys above had a perfect point in saying it´s important to "feel comfortable" for you. I´m studying sport and am into such things. Don´t have an instructor license, but some of my friends do have and the newest guidelines say: to start with a duckstance, since this is a "regular and comfortable stance". Makes it easy to use your upper body properly to initiate turns and makes it easier to squat a little bit so you can balance way better than standing directional. Another plus for duckstance is that your legs will not tire that quick. Makes your trip to the mountain a little more fun =)
3/23/2011 12:09:57 PM Well, I can give a +1 for the Cartels on a Sierra RC, since this is the setup I´m riding. Unfortunately my Cartels are not the newest model (got them for cheap from a friend), but despite being 3-4 years old they still look fine and work even better. Not a single issue with them. And surely no pain whatsoever. Love the buckles...they work easy, fast and simple! Guess there´s no need to mention that the Cartels are really comfy... Since I haven´t demoed any of the other recommended bindings I can´t compare the Cartel/RC setup. But as said, I had a lot of fun, no pain and no worries with this setup!
3/16/2011 4:50:20 PM It helps if you tilt your screen a little and watch it from "below"
3/16/2011 4:46:15 PM Dang..I would love to post a screenshot of it..but BBCode´s are not working here right? How do I get a picture posted?!?
3/16/2011 4:10:16 PM I didn´t get it as letters from the start..first I was confused to see "something" that did not belong there..only frame by frame helped me..and it sure needed some time ;) But I still can´t believe that nobody else has seen it yet... I mean it´s one of the most loved, recommended and probably seen snowboard-movies...for a good reason
