4/10/2013 9:50:13 AM	It's not that bad. It's a forest near Mt Fuji that people go to when they want to commit suicide. So if you're hiking around there, you may come across a body. I think it was a documentary from Vice where they followed a guy who patrols the forest as a suicide prevention officer. Whenever he comes across someone whose out there camping, he talks to them and see if they're suicidal or not. In the documentary, they may have come across a body...not sure though...[/QUOTE] yeah but people easily like to make something like this a big focal point. it's not that different than golden gate or other bridges as a destination for some..

February though was fantastic this year. Dunno if the snow was that amazing for us, but the timings on the thursday-sunday almost every weekend in feb made it awesome. This month hasnt started great down here. Rain on the first followed by a rapid drop in temps creating a SOLID ice wall off piste and a tonne of death cookies. Snow from saturday afternoon led to decent sunday morning conditions, but it also meant extreme caution required. And last weekend was pure heatwave on saturday followed by mad winds on the sunday. I reckon we've still got a few drops before the end of it though. But definitely heading into the tail... and maybe a little sooner than most of us would hope. I should add this is NAGANO. And has no bearing on whats going on up north... hell, snow reports on myoko tell you almost nothing about whats going on at hakuba. [/QUOTE] on our 2013 trip, it was pukin every single day literally from even before we landed. we almost didn't land because of airport conditions. best times we've ever had since we started snowboarding. in addition, the food, the people, it's just a whole different experience since it's JAPAN....just everything is great!
