8/20/2010 3:04:45 PM There has been heaps of Sierra's here in NZ. I've seen Crew's, RC's, Stunts, Teams, Sierrascopes. Not really Sierra, but the Burton Hero seems to be a REALLY popular board too. Took a photo of a few, talked to a few owners. They all seem pretty happy with their buy. Me included Nice photo's Tank, wish there was a dump like that here. It's good, but not Pow. Look's like you guys are getting consistent small dumps. I might have to take another trip down there on the 27th, 28th, 29th.   Tank, Did you get your Notch out ?
8/15/2010 6:57:12 AM Perhaps an early event creation Tank ? Maybe put something up for mid Aug next year.
8/11/2010 5:44:25 AM Unfortunately sun us behind. It was late in the day
8/7/2010 7:39:33 AM And i'll be bringing a case of beer. Two if the numbers stack up
8/1/2010 4:35:05 PM Hey that pipe looks pretty cool From the photo it looks small'ish and soft. I would be tempted to try it.   Probably deceptive though, huge and icy. I'd end up braking a bone.
8/1/2010 3:52:57 AM Son of ...    if only i didn't have to work this week. Fingers crossed its still there next weekend.   Tank, did you pull out your Über pow board, or is that coming out tomorrow ?
7/31/2010 10:36:03 PM   yay for demo boards. Would love to try these.   I'm still set to head down for the 6th. Can't wait
7/31/2010 10:11:38 PM   Hey its Smiggins !!   EDIT:   We'll.. perhaps my post is 12 hours late. I can't tell on account of the camera being snowed up
7/19/2010 12:42:55 AM I have to agree with Tank'donSnow. There is a degree of convenience to have snow fields in your own country. It can hurt your wallet, but after all, it is sunny old Australia. And the alpine area's that rely so heavly on money from the tourists would be very quiet in summer. Big opperations like Perisher and Thredbo cost a lot of money, and they need to recover the costs and make a profit to continuously improve services. At the end of the day, it's not like someone has a gun to your head. And no one is forcing you to stay in AUS. For this very reason, i have had mates move to Canada, Japan and USA for years on end because they wanted to live the alpine life. Perhaps its an option that might suite you ? P.S. This is a customers point of view, I don't have any affiliation with the AUS snow fields
7/15/2010 5:34:52 AM Thanks Tank'donSnow, it's a luxury i don't get often enough. The years go by to fast, somehow i have over 3 months a leave owing to me. Few trips on the books. this weekend @ Perisher next weekend @ Perisher 1 week early Aug @ Perisher 1.5 weeks late AUG @ South Island NZ 2 weeks Jan/Feb @ Hakuba JPN
7/15/2010 5:26:16 AM @ smackthepony - i have a new Sv6 ute and the manual says that I cant fit chains with the tyres that are on there due to clearance. Because its new I am inclined to follow the manual, i would hate to have my suspension parts dragging on the ground behind me. [/QUOTE] Ahh right o. Thats cool man, i bought a brand new car out-right myself many years ago when i had just started working. It's a lot of money, good to see you appreciate the cost. Eventually 5 years on, after everyone has opened doors on it, ran shopping trollies into it and having done any other inconsiderate thing to it. It breaks you down and you give up caring. If you can't fit chains, perhaps you could consider winter tires. They have heaps of little tiny grooves which make a surprising difference. I was seriously impressed. Although an SV6 ute might not get past anyway being 2WD. Even if you had spiked tires. As crap as some rules are, rules are rules. Although i think you would have an infaltion issue with that last studded one anyway. That image looks a bit makeshift. You can get these, I've never used something like this. But a friend said they work magic on ice. Personally i prefer the clutch, i can get more control over that. But that could just be me. Try to avoid sudden breaking all together. If you have to; NO ABS = do the pump ABS = stomp (I know everyone is expert drivers, but the truth is no man can break better than the computer. Just break hard and let it do it's job)

7/14/2010 10:41:21 PM what sort of car would that be, and why is it said that you can't fit chains to it ? **images in my head of a lowered ferrari with 1' wide tires and 22" rims hiding behind the wheel arch** work got busy and I had a hard time keeping up with the threads. and now i'm on leave ! yaaay
7/13/2010 11:22:21 PM 9th-July-2010 has come and gone. I take it no one used the coupon ? Anyway, it's gone now.
7/13/2010 10:31:33 PM yay, looks like the snow has come. Tank'donSnow Is it looking to be a busy weekend coming ? im coming up, but don't like the idea of crowds. We have an AWD, chains required to get to the train terminal ? or conditions not that bad. oo, that doesn't sound like a normal issue. You could always upload the photos to something like flicker etc. Then link via url or embed the image link on the forum
