5/20/2013 11:20:52 AM Hey Forum, Anyone know of any boot fitters in Melbourne?? I've got a pair of Thirty Two boots which are apparently the widest boots I can buy and it's still not wide enough. I'm a size 8US in length and a size 11US in width, which when/if I'm fortunate enough to get 4E width shoes I'm an 8.5US I've read about boot fitters from a few searches, and also a guy at Altitude Hawthorne told me last year it would be possible to stretch / widen the shell of the boot but we tried a few other options first which showed improvement but still not perfect. Now unfortunately I went to Altitude today and it seems like the Hawthorne store has closed shop and have probably relocated again, but I don't know where. Was wondering if anyone could help me out in my quest to make some boots fit my stupid feet. Cheers, Benjamin
5/1/2013 10:21:30 AM Hey Guys, I'm looking to purchase the pair of TM-two boots and saw their video on moulding the boots but can't seem to find this 'Fit Kit' they speak of. Does anybody know where I could purchase one? Cheers, Benjamin
2/21/2013 4:35:41 PM Hi Guys, Just trying to use my goggle couple and it says it's good for $100 off but when it comes to the check out the full price remains. I was just wondering what redemptions are allowed or what restrictions are in place when using these coupons Cheers, Benjamin
4/23/2012 3:42:58 AM Hey Guys, So because I have a shit load of homework to do, it was in my best interest to wrap my mouse in cf patterned vinyl and cut out a Toyota logo on it..... (-_-")..... *sigh* I'm never gonna finish uni lolz Also if anyone has any experience with epoxy resin please comment with any advice on whether this is a good idea. I want to seal the Toyota logo in place with something longer lasting and more permanent than the current clear coat. Anyways here it is So yeah, I know there's bubbles and the logo is a bit wonky but overall I'm very happy with how it turned out and how it feels Especially since I've had this mouse for a good 4 or maybe 5 years the rubbery stuff was starting to wear out and feel shit. Also didn't realise how much crap gets inside the mouse, had a fair amount of fine hairs or threads or something twirled around the scroll button somehow. Cheers, Benjamin
4/1/2012 11:35:09 PM Hey Guys, Just wondering what temperature wax I should use for New Zealand. I'll be visiting Cardrona and the Remarkables and I've got no idea what the weather is like up there. So if anyone could tell me what the average air temperature or range that would be a great. Also if you know anything about the snow condition and air humidity that would be a bonus. Cheers, Benjamin
4/1/2012 3:31:57 AM Hey Guys and Girls, I'm looking for a new set of polarized goggles. I'm looking at getting another pair of Oakley Crowbars but I'm having a tough time deciding on what lens to get. At the moment I'm tossing up between the VR28, H.I. Amber and Grey all polarized lenses. I've been trying to compare them by their light transmission to gage how dark or light they'll be. I'm just wondering though what is the second number the 'index' What does the index of a lens do? (Lens) (Light Trans.) (Index) (Base) (Coating) Persimmon                           61%     1     Persimmon     N/A VR28 Polarized                          16%     3     VR28     N/A H.I. 3/27/2012 6:15:48 AM Hey Guys, I'm just tossing up between the Rome 390/S90 bindings and the Rome Arsenal. I've read a few reviews but can't seem to determine what would be best suited for me. My setup currently is Board: Rome Artifact Rocker (150cm) Boots: K2 Indy Bindings: Ride Deuce I'm about 175cm and currently weigh 80kg I'll be wanting to play around in the park as much as possible but given I'll be spending most days at Mt Buller I'll just be doing buttering and things like that. So any recommendations with reasoning would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Benjamin
5/31/2011 4:36:06 PM Hey Guys and Girls, Just trying to get an impression of how soft this board is. So I'm hoping to find riders that have tried out the Men's Rome Artifact Rocker (147 or 150) and also ridden either the Sierra Stunt (147) or Women's GNU B-Street (141) Sounds like a very arbitrary test but I'm hoping for someone to give each board a flex rating out of 10 (or watever scale you'd prefer to use) Reasoning (don't have to read this) I'm a 5'7" that weighs 175lb, I had the time of my life on a friends board the women's 141 B-Street, loved the length and being able to whip it around but only problem was it was too soft and had very little pop. I did like how it pressed though but would want that bit of stiffness for stability. Riding the 147 Sierra Stunt was fun too, great pop much more stable but flex wasn't soft enough for my liking. So right now I'm having trouble deciding whether I should get a 147 or 150 Rome Artifact Rocker. If I could test ride then buy that would be awesome, but that's not an option unfortunately. So if anyone could help out in anyway it would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Benjamin
5/2/2011 7:09:05 AM Hey Guys and Girls, I was pretty set to get a GNU snowboard till talking to a couple guys at a snowboard shop kind of talked me out of it. Since all GNU boards are full reverse camber. I'm thinking I want something hybrid with zero camber between the bindings and reverse camber on either end of the bindings. I wasn't sure how to search that feature on a snowboard and not all boards seem to post that information. So I'm hoping I could get some good recommendations from the community. Either boards with that hybrid combination or maybe a better suggested combination. Main thing I want to do is butter. Yeah I'll hit the park a little bit few rails some boxes, maybe some small jumps. Cheers, Benjamin
4/29/2011 11:22:17 PM Hey Guys and Girls, This may seem like an odd question but I'm a male considering buying the female GNU Park pickle. Now before you flame me or think this is a troll hear me and my reasoning out. I was after the 147 GNU Park Pickle but that seems to be rather hard to obtain here in Australia. (Friend of mine has ordered one a month ago and expects it in the next two weeks) So right now I have the chance to buy the 2011 148cm Park Pickle which happens to be the girls one. Now while the colour does bother me a tiny bit my main concern is how it rides. Are there any special alteration to a board that make it a "female" board? Because as far as I can tell it's the same board just slightly bigger. (The colour I can put a sticker over if it bothers me that much) Any help would be appreciated. Cheers, Benjamin
4/21/2011 10:29:44 AM Hey Guys and Girls, This is pretty shameless but if possible I'm hoping that everyone here in the snow community could help me out in this photo competition I'm participating in. I've entered a panorama I took last season when I was at Mt Hotham. It's nothing fantastic but it was my first panorama I ever took and also a reminder of the best/worst snow trip I've ever been on. (Best because of friends and I love snowboarding and that was my first year snowboarding worst because we happened to be there during some of the harshest conditions.) So if it's legal on these forums to do this and if it's not too much trouble for you please vote for my photo as well as give me feedback here. Any feedback welcome, love it, hate it, advice, I'd appreciate all of it. Thanks for reading =] Cheers, Benjamin http://www.loveitup.com.au/australiasmostlovedcity//?source=DirectLink#/Vote/12606 *edit* Hi peeps! i think you guys should vote for this photo instead super noob posing snowboarder it's a photo of the op, his first time snowboarding. he may look kewl and 'pro' but he was in alot of pain that day lolz enjoy! =p

9/16/2010 2:16:57 AM Hey Guys, My friends and I are just giving one of our mates crap as well as testing how many hits we can get on youtube. Enjoy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pR-YvdCHsY4
8/2/2010 9:19:45 PM Hey Guys, Was just looking at how ugly the green M9's are and how much better the white Essence looks. Just wondering are they the same bindings? Only difference I can tell from the description is that they're female binds and that they're lighter.. I've already bought the M9's in a medium, but I'm considering getting the Essence in Large seeing as my boot is an 8.5 I'd still be able to fit in the large. Just wondering if they are pretty much the same bindings or a better comparison. Cheers, Benjamin
7/29/2010 3:19:00 AM Hey Guys, Just realised I stuck my stomp pads on the wrong end of my snowboard. Can't be bothered buying new ones, are they really necessary? Do most people use them or feel they really need to use them? Cheers, Benjamin
