9/22/2010 10:07:45 AM If they are in your area you should definitely check out their films. They always put out some of the most killer f'n movies every year. I saw their premier of Neverland last year and it was off-the-hook. They always have pro riders at their premiers and tons of free schwag to give away. You can also win a free board. They already have done a lot of locations, but these are where they still have shows. 8/23/2010 5:17:43 AM Hey people! I have a 08' Burton UnInc for sale with barely used 09' Triad EST's on it. The board has some wear and tear on it, but nothing serious. I have done a couple base repairs on it, because I hit a rock early last season. I've worked on equipment professionally for 6 seasons and I run a repair shop in the winter, so the work that has been done on it has all been done by hand by me and if anything were to go wrong with the repairs I would repair them for free. The only other damage is some cracks in the top sheet on the tail of the board. Apparently it is a common occurrence in these boards and is only in the top sheet and does not affect the core or the performance of the board whatsoever. (I will post pictures of the board and the overall condition of it when I get back home from Australia, so sometime in early September.) This board was around $550 new and I paid $175 for the bindings new. I bought a new setup last season and I barely ride this board any more, so it's time to get rid of it. This setup has treated me really well when I lived and worked at Killington, VT. It is an all mountain board, but is soft enough to jib and sturdy enough to stomp booters. It was a collab done by pro riders Gigi Ruf, Romain de Marchi, JP Solberg and Danny Davis, so it has quite a bit of time put into the construction of it. It is a normal camber board! It handles really well in all conditions. The Triad's are some of the best bindings I have ever ridden. I'm asking for $300 for the setup, but might be willing to negotiate. I'd prefer to only sell it to someone who would pick it up in person (NorCal), but will ship it if you split the cost of shipping. It's the Puppy board.
7/31/2010 12:13:33 PM Last winter at Boreal on Donner Pass in California, I was riding at night with a bunch of my friends. Boreal doesn't have the most respectful people roll through it, so I was reluctant from the start to leave my new setup outside, (Lib Tech TRS & Union Forces) out of my view, but my friends assured me it would be chill and I shouldn't worry about it. My friend also left his brand new Forum Scallywag with Union Data's next to mine with a bunch of other friends' gear. We all went upstairs and started drinking beer and eating wings. When I came downstairs 30 minutes later is when the festivities began. I came outside of the cafeteria area and all my friend's boards and ski's were there except mine. I ran as fast as I could to the parking lot to see if I could find someone with my board, but to no avail. I ran back to the main lodge and started asking around to see if anyone saw anything. The answer was repeatedly no and I began to get disheartened, but I kept asking around. I went inside the lodge and I asked some kid with a pink helmet if he saw anything and he said no and then I asked a family that was sitting near him if they saw anything and their response was no as well. About a minute later the mother in the family that I asked told me that she saw some kid grab my board and run off and that the kid who took it was with the kid who I asked who was wearing the pink helmet. Again, I ran as fast as I could to the parking lot and caught up with the kid wearing the pink hat. I knew something was suspect about this kid from the beginning, because he had ski boots on and was holding two snowboards. I grabbed him by his shoulder and turned him around and said, "Your friend has my board. Get my my shtooking board now, or I'll end you." I was so pissed off at this point that I was having trouble holding back my rage and clobbering this kid, but luckily my friend came and put on his gangster face. From here on my friend did most of the talking, because I wasn't really able to say what I wanted without wanting to choke these shtookers out. The kid in the pink hat didn't have my board, but his friend did. He called his friend up on the phone and played it off like his friend just took the wrong board by accident and that he's "done it before." The little bitch who took my board came with my board about 50 ft. away from me and dropped it in a snow ditch, then turned around and expected to get away with just giving it back. We chased the kid down and confronted him. As soon as we caught up to him, his first response was, "Don't hurt me please." After talking to him for a minute and asking "Who the shtook do you think you are," and "what the hell do you think this makes kids from Sacramento look like," (my friend was from Sac) At this point the kid's other two friends/accomplices showed up and things got pretty funny. The kid wearing the pink helmet and the kid who was driving them came to the confrontation and knew they were either A) Getting the cops called on them B) Getting their asses kicked C) Going to have to pay up. Meanwhile there are all sorts of people walking through the parking lot shouting things like, "If that were my board I'd kick their asses," and "Punk those faggots!" and "take their boards!" The kid in the pink helmet was still denying having anything to do with the board being taken and he was continually making himself look like a dumbass, so my friend got in his face and told him to shut the shtook up and not say another word or he'll knock him out. The kid said something snide again so my friend grabbed his skullcandy's that were around his neck and ripped them off, breaking them in the process, and then he knocked off his helmet onto the ground and donkey stomped it, which sent it about 30 feet off on the concrete. I'm pretty sure the kid pissed his pants. We told the kids that we were going to call the cops or that they have to pay up. We didn't beat them up, because they kid responsible was only 17 and none of us wanted to go to jail for beating up a minor. We ended up getting $80, a capita baseball hat, a red helmet, two pairs of Ashbury goggles and the shirts off their back. I don't think they will steal people's crap again. Moral of the story: "Don't shtook with locals."
