12/19/2014 10:13:01 PM I sure will Brandon! God, I pray that you will allow us to receive a foot or two of snow this winter, and that the season will go into April, and for Brandon to come to know of your love, and how you know how to give good gifts, Amen!!
12/17/2014 2:30:24 PM hey locals. I was just up at Camelback yesterday from 9-10 A.M. conditions were suprisingly good, though they closed at four due to the fog.
12/16/2014 12:50:54 PM wow, thanks chillax. (hope you don't mind that term) that's totally where I'm at right now. desiring to draw closer to God through immediate obedience, and accepting His mercy and grace when I fall short. I usually hang out in the guilt of False Humility and Pride simultaneously. trying to accept that through Christ I will do and be awesomeness, and like Jesus, will be sought after to be put on a pedestal. I'm ready for it now. so when the praise comes, I know where it needs to go.
12/13/2014 9:58:16 PM chillax software, I totally agree with you. I'm learning that the small things are big to God. (responsibility, being faithful in the small things). and the big things are small to him. (His resources, freely poured out when we are obedient)
12/13/2014 9:41:53 PM I feel ya Joey. for people to have such an attitude about the body that God gave them is messed up. though you have to understand, it's just how people(including myself) think when we aren't living life in God's love.
12/9/2014 12:56:33 PM Follow up on my last post. I'm currently finishing the college course I started earlier, Essentials of Biology. A few more days of studying will hopefully result in an good grade when the test is taken. Then, Lord willing, I will be taking Anatomy and Physiology for the next semester.
12/9/2014 12:44:05 PM hello all. I was just up at cbk yesterday for about an hour. fun, but icy as usual. the terrain park never ceases to amaze me with how un-amazing it is. solid ice, poor set up. good thing Boulder is only 20 minutes away...
12/8/2014 1:30:50 PM wow, sgreen. that's deep. I find myself questioning out loud things like that. backwards logic that makes sense in the mind decrepit from not following Christ. I walked away for a bit, but I'm back. good thing He never left or forsake me. :)
12/8/2014 1:26:52 PM hey guys. just wanted to put up a blast on what I'm thankful as we transition from Thanksgiving to Christmas. so, here we go. 1. Honda Accord 1998 Standard Transmission Dx. 2. Snowboard getup. everything. 3. my fam. 4. America, the land that I love, and live in. Far from perfection or complete disorder. 5. the legit snow we received for Thanksgiving. 6. snowboarding at Big Boulder opening day, and days after. 7. season pass to Camelback Mountain Resort. 8. our dog, Lilac. 6 months old.  9. the opportunity to love people less fortunate. 10. The hope I have in Jesus. True life, joy, and happiness. better than all my hopes and dreams. bigger than all my fears and inadequacies.
10/23/2014 10:02:35 AM I know what you mean. I can't stand reading the NIV sometimes online. it's totally different from my NIV Fire Bible. less accurate. just weird. sometimes I'll look up a verse in NKJ just for the original feel. however, I usually just speak to text whatever fragment of a verse comes to mind into my phone, and it brings up the version closest to how I phrased it from memory. I love how God is using technology for good, what the devil intended for evil.
10/23/2014 9:53:38 AM Dear Camelback Mountain enthusiasts. Ready for this years snowboard season? I sure am!
10/10/2014 10:54:51 PM hello Marine Corps thread. it has been a while, some might consider you dead, so I smile but in a while it turns to dread, for I have to run another mile but instead I perform 125 pull ups in style, heh, haven't thrown down in a while. watch out for my guile, so smooth you won't ever change the dial. acknowledge the oldschool cool of a song long ago played or you're in denial. the best is, that tetris and sit ups go together like a pike all cut up from asbestos. ok, freestyle over. just wanted to see how this thread is doing, and comment on how I am doing. currently attending Northampton Community College for Essentials of Biology and upon completion will have 16 credits, enough to rank up from Private to Private First Class when I graduate Recruit Training after the winter. I'm working now with a painter making decent money. $1k+ a month for now. as far as exercise goes, I made a routine which resulted in 125 pull ups one day and 250 sit ups another. I'd play one 2 minute game of Tetris, then do 5 pull ups or 10 sit ups on their respective days. I need to find some way to max out my run time and am open to any and all suggestions. thank you Marines, all other service members, and civilians in general for advice. plenty of room for improvement. (especially with the flow above) :)
2/3/2014 2:24:28 PM I have pliers at home, come on over and I'll help you out with the braces situation so you can be a Marine sooner than later.
Wow, I can't believe I've been missing out by not reading this thread sooner.  This is gold.  All of it.   Now that I consider myself a regular reader, may I suggest, slider, that while you are waiting the braces situation to be resolved, that you apprise us regularly on how quickly you can do 75 pushups.   I think that would be valuable because:1-readers of this website will careand 2-if I was committed to joining something that will push my limits that much, and I had time to get a head start, I would be doing so.  I think the P90x thread will offer some helpful advice.
ha, thanks Leroy, glad you found the magical pot-o-gold lad. I officially welcome you to this adventure of a thread. additionally, thank you for showing concern for my physical development in preparation to joining the Marines. we aren't required to do pushups for a score, though I can do about 40. My IST score is 18 pull ups(wide grip), 130 sit ups in two minutes, and a run time of 1 1/2 miles in 10:30(with boots and jeans). Oorah! as for sideways99's comment about removing the braces- I wish it were that simple. my teeth need to be corrected completely, or they could revert back to their old position. they are also paid off. it may take another year. not sure. but there is no 'quick fix', nor is there in life!
2/3/2014 2:15:44 PM word, Lecrae says, "If you live for peoples acceptance, you'll die by their rejection".
1/24/2014 1:35:46 PM thanks Skio25, unfortunately I tried that already and it wasn't there. the good news is, I lost it at the terrain park. you know how small it is there. hopefully I'll be able to find it when I look.
