7/21/2011 5:39:42 PM ...getting back to the original question of the park board that can handle the mountain as well. I just got a ride antic 2011 and love it. flexible enough, stable at speed. I recently got in to the park. my old cambered board used to catch lots but rides low rise rocker has made the transition to jumps great. I dont know how it handles the bigger jumps cause I'm not that good a rider. It could be a good alternative for those who already have good bindings with the traditional inserts instead of the channel system. Or if someone wanted to try an alternative to burton.
9/2/2010 3:39:21 PM im still using my first and only board pale swing. old as basic thing just got new flux super emblem bindings hope to upgrade the board next year
9/1/2010 4:46:00 PM yes it could get interesting. as far as taking the highest dump, not counting from a roof or balcony, the technique is called a donkey drop. its when you straddle your legs over the top of the cubical walls, aim and fire. can be performed by both men and woman (not that ive heard of a woman trying. girls have a healthy dose of dignity). just watch out for that huge splash back (providing you are on target). and make sure you pee first. as a friend as found out you dont want to have a nervous pee from up there at that angle. - the things you do when your young
9/1/2010 4:17:43 PM hey not sure what subarus are like in America but here in New Zealand they have a bad rep. mostly costly to replace parts and the like and if they HAVEN'T been serviced regularly they have a tendency to fail badly. and 3 of my work colleges who have not thrashed theirs have had random and expensive problems. HOWEVER, advice from a car dealer friend who has been in the business for years says Subarus are great providing (like has been said before) they have had regular oil changes and servicing, never been thrashed. its common to see them past 150k miles and no one can deny they perform and handle like a dream. I personaly wont buy one because im slack when it comes to servicing. Thats why i drive a Honda accord. My first and only car - its gone threw my thrashing stage, burnout stage, submerging in a ditch, run on little oil for months... and 5 years later still going strong with only minor repairs. my personal advice - check its history, and if you buy one keep regular servicing and it (should) treat you well. And will be perfect for getting to the snow fields. p.s. bear in mind that new zealand may be different from canada as far as repair costs, fuel additives that cause engine wear, and road conditions.
9/1/2010 3:39:27 PM would be having nearly 3 months off over the winter and only going boarding 1 day. arrrrrrggggggghhhhhh! im having a bad year
