12/9/2012 4:40:52 PM This is a constructive criticism, no new collaboration boards for the last couple seasons. Last year there was the collab with (I believe) Sessions on a jacket and pants, but as far as boards, none. I remember hearing there was a new sierrascope version possibility, but unless they vanished instantly, I have not seen them.
9/17/2012 6:23:29 AM Thinking of loss, would you rather have snowboarding greats, pioneers or others that contributed to the sport in great ways pass away from accidents within the sport such as an avalanche or see a heart attack? Death is unavoidable, which makes it more legendary, sad, worse, shocking? Yes, accidents are out of nowhere but my aching hip and shoulder are a great illustration of the dangers on board.
9/17/2012 6:05:35 AM I really am personally torn between the Galaxy S III and the iPhone5. I think apple does a great job breeding zombies for their products, and they have put forward a lot of quality and innovative pieces of equipment but this ones is less than impressive given the hype. That being said, makers of android based devices need to band together better and produce phones that work much more similarly. Even the OS display is done differently on phones that run the same OS, hate it. Apple has it set that they work seamlessly between their devices and sharing stuff is easy between a macbook, ipod, and ipad.
6/2/2012 8:59:46 AM I ended my season on the 3rd day I went out. It was some very icy hard-pack that I came down on and from the height on my launch and my lack of experience, just was too much. It was like jumping from a 2 story roof while moving. I ended up with a level 3 shoulder separation on the left, swelling in the bicep and tricep, bruising throughout the pec muscle and shoulder and I had a similar injury to my hip. That has not been diagnosed because I originally thought it was just sore from the landing. I am having in examined soon. The shoulder is at 90%, I can workout again with limited restriction, except for heavy weight. The hip still bothers me a lot and would probably be at 70%. After 4.5 months its been a long road, lots of rehab and painkillers, and my collar bone looks a tad off permanently.
4/24/2012 9:34:01 AM Hey everyone! Looking to see who had their season cut short, whay happen, how it happened, etc. Be serious, dont embelish.
1/14/2012 10:05:57 AM I have been searching for my girlfriend with bindings and she has a very small foot. The bindings are built different in a few different ways but IMO in the end it comes to comfort and compatibility. With most women's stuff, including boards, you find them more narrow, lighter weight, more flexible, etc, to fit a smaller sized person, that in mind, there are some puny guys that aren't stronger or bigger than some girls. So label do not always mean one standard or a restriction.
1/10/2012 9:29:19 AM Okay, the obvious choice to me in the DC judge. Reason being, these boots are not even the same price point category. From ThirtTwo, you want to look at either the STW BOA ($160) or Lashed ($200), thats if we are talking current price. If we are talking retail, TMTwo ($250). I am simply saying, you need to compare boots on the same level. For example, a burton moto is not the same as the burton hail
1/10/2012 9:13:47 AM THANK YOU! I feel the exact same way. I also feel that the Canucks started a lot of crap that game and since they aren't nearly as physical a team when the Bruins reacted and showed they are the toughest team around, they paid the price more times for it. It was crap, it was uneven, and now Marchand is being made as an example. I do not think what he did was good or right, but I do not think he did it with Malice. He ducked! Plus, he is 5'9'' and Salo is 6'3''!!!!!!
1/10/2012 8:51:50 AM Personally, I would spend an absurd amount of money on goggles, like $250, if it meant that I could purchase all the different lenses for $15-20 apiece.
1/10/2012 8:23:01 AM I see that TruSnow carries endeavor snowboards but there are no reviews. Does anyone have any experience riding them or have any friends that do? As much information as possible would be great. All I really know is they are built in Vancouver, Canada and have been around for about a decade.
1/10/2012 8:18:23 AM iamjason...bummer dude, i hate to rub it in but i have fridays off, done by 3 and the earliest I have is a discussion twice a week at 930. ahhh going to be a good semester, except for a ton(18ish) of papers and quizzes
1/9/2012 1:16:04 PM May I ask why you are only considering Burton? There is nothing wrong with that, one of my boards I own is burton board for POW, but there are so many companies out there doing great work on boards that you may want to consider many options.
1/9/2012 1:12:00 PM Burton also has the X-Base EST binding that is a super lightweight binding in the same price range. On a scale of 1-10 from relaxed to responsive, Burton rates this a 7. The highbacks are a carbon composite and a single piece as well.
1/9/2012 1:07:03 PM Personal suggestion, find a brand that fits, try them on towards the end of the day when your feet are swollen and bring your boarding socks. Then when you know what brand you like, decide sort of flexibility you want and the things you need from a boot. Take logical steps to find what suits you best because it seems jumping at a purchase will cost you more in the end and sore/tired feet are the worst
1/9/2012 1:01:09 PM +1 for youtube and also for snowj720's mentioning of keeping the impurities out of the ptex cuz it makes the job look crappy if you don't trust me, I know from experience.
