12/27/2012 9:04:17 PM What's going on NY riders. Title says it all. A friend of mine passed this on to me a few hours ago. Pretty much fill out your email name and zip, and get a voucher for a 10 dollar lift ticket emailed to you for the resort of your choice. Looks like some of the places are "sold" out, and going pretty fast. Few of the places on the list weren't sold out this afternoon. Annyways, here is a link to what I am talking about. http://www.iskiny.com/discovernyskiing/#skiareas Hope everyone in the region is getting pumped with this MUCH better start to our season than last year. Keep up them snow dances dudes!
9/20/2011 7:13:48 AM I foresee A LOT of these posts coming about soon. Maybe we can just put them all in the same place? Already been a few as of late. Such as... Whistler... http://www.trusnow.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=48745 Summit County... http://www.trusnow.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=48679 Being excited about the upcoming season... http://www.trusnow.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=48584 SNOOOOWW!!! http://www.trusnow.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=48659 It's snowing in CO. right now.... http://www.trusnow.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=48504 Those are all within just under 2 weeks of each other. Yall get the point. Don't get me wrong, I am super stoked as well. Maybe we can just all be stoked together, in one place? Horray for snow! P.S. the Whistler one is the best...it have lots of photos
9/16/2011 5:58:28 AM Looking for a little feedback from people that have, and use roof racks on their car for their boards. Normally I just put my boards inside the car, but last year on our trip to VT there was no room, so we just put our boards/skis on my sister-in-laws roof rack. By the time we got there I noticed a pretty good amount of road grime/salt on the base of all the boards, and rusting edges. I tried rinsing them all off with a brush and water in the hotel shower, but no luck. There still was a residue. Bad enough (in my mind) that I re-waxed all our gear. Like I also mentioned, all our edges had quite a few spots of surface rust and had to spend 2 hours or so cleaning them all up. Am I just being over cautious? Would it of been fine after a few laps on the slopes..as in it would of just worked it's way off our gear? I kinda thought that it would work the salt and dirt further into our bases (all have sintered) and damage them. SO my real question is, anyone else deal with this? What do you do? Was my re-waxing/edge cleaning necessary? Is there anything you can do to protect your boards in a roof rack? Thanks for any input. Looking to get a rack for my wife's car, but if I have to deal with this every time we use it, we will just suck it up and be cramped in the car.
8/30/2011 1:22:45 PM Okay, looked for a little bit, couldn't find a thread like this. Basically, if the powers that be allow it, this thread should be sticky-d for a tool that newbies, and not so newbies can use to easily find popular thread topics.   Use it before making a new thread if you have any doubts if it has been made before. Use it to follow threads you posted on, but left town for a while, and want to find it again. There has been a lot of duplicate threads in the past month or so, more than normal....maybe this can help fix a little bit of that. The new(bie) FAQ Guide. Lots of great info and direct links over here. Check it out (Thanks ridetimeless, forgot about this one) http://www.trusnow.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=43217 Want to sell something? Check this out... http://www.trusnow.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=48276 Now....don't get me wrong. This is not an invitation to spam the hell out of these threads. If you don't HAVE to post on them, just don't. Use these more as an information guide to all the popular topics. Granted, if you have something new to share in the topic, have at it. The main point: Please think twice about making new topics. Do a little checking if it has been done before. The time it takes to make a new thread, you could be a few pages deep in a thread that has already been started, with more information on the topic. There are also sticky-d threads at the top in the "board room" category, "ask other riders" and "classifieds" for a reason. Do your self a favor and take a look at them.
8/23/2011 10:30:20 PM Okay, don't know if this has been started before...I am going to assume yes. I looked for maybe 4 minutes and couldn't find it, so suck it.  I forget what thread it was earlier this week that started this whole debate/pondering for me, but....... What was/is the best board you have ever owned and why? Mine is a 155 wide M3 Convoy. You know the brand..the one that started out in a soy sauce factory. HA! First board I ever bought with my own money. Got it in 2004/2005. Also the year of the board. At the time I was a total park rat, but also liked to bomb groomers from time to time. Every thing I remember about the days when I rode that board was great. From time spent with friends, to learning tons of new tricks...just overall progressing as a rider...I even  freaking broke my back (T-10 vertebrae) on the thing. Whenever I think back to days spent in the park with this board, all I can remember is how well the thing responded. Super light board, great response, good amount of flex without being a noodle, and held an edge well. Tons of pop. Bad thing was M3 was plagued with quality issues. Never had the typical de-lam issues, but did snap the tail within the second season of having the board, and 1/2 of the nose the 3rd year. That being said, I rode that dirty bastard for 2 more seasons with a snapped tail and nose, and it still performed pretty well. If my sierra stunt was a 8 out of 10, my M3 with a cracked tail was a high 6 out of 10. I have that board in my snowboard bench (picture in the randomness thread) and every day I pass it I wish I had another. So...what this thread is really about, is if you know a way to get a hold of this board let me know. I have searched for a few hours, and could never find one. All that comes up is the discord, which I don't want. I need that M3 back in my life. I need to be able to shred that bitch again. I miss it. Have you ever had something really sweet in your life, only to lose it, then think constantly about how you wish you had it back? Yeah, that's how I am with the convoy. I know it's not the best built board, I know there are many shred sticks out there that can top it engineering wise, but I don't care. That doesn't matter to me. Even though this is all about me, and my lust for the M3 convoy, feel free to post a similar story. And yes, I do realize how pointless this thread is, but for all the other crappy threads that have squeaked by the past 2 weeks, I feel this one can too...
8/22/2011 9:49:00 AM Alright Guys...selling some boots for a friend. I belive them to be 07's based on the model number. Anyways, I DO know that these have only been worn once. The photos will show this. They are made by DC shoe co., the Graphix BOA, size 9 men's. If it can help anyone, the model # is 301318 He is looking for 100 bucks, but interesting trades will be considered. Sorry, due to high volume over here in Ohio, cheezzburgers will no longer be accepted as trade/currency. only scuff or sign of use on the boots....
6/22/2011 3:52:29 PM Won the pair of Rome's tonight (score!) and am going to use those to replace my current pair of Flux's Soooo...selling my 2011 Flux RK-30's, size large in the teal/green color way. I used these two days when I was in Vermont early this year. In great shape. Looking for $120 shipped. Here are some pictures of the RK-30's.
6/17/2011 6:46:36 AM Hey guys, it is that time of year again, time for CAMPING! The wife and I are looking for something new to replace our old "car camper" tent. Basically what that means is it doesn't have to be light weight as anytime we use that tent we would be able to drive to the site, generally would be used for our multi-day canoeing trips. What we are looking for... -4 person -excellent rain protection (good rain fly) -either 2 separate small rooms, or one big one with a really good sized vestibule to house 2 packs, a cooler, few pairs of shoes.. -good ventilation as we generally do these trips in july and august in PA and OH. and it can get up to almost 80 at night. -would like to keep the price under 400.. but, if you know of a tent that is just the bees knees and meets all those requirements that is a little more, feel free to let me know oh yeah, i know, google it. I have, many many times and am stuck between a few different tents and just wanted to get some advice from real people, not manufacture opinions on their own product. So, if there is a tent out there you LOVE, please let me know? Thanks guys!
5/28/2011 7:40:50 AM So, I'm a dumbass and somehow overlooked the fact that there is a complete classified section here..i gotta stop posting late at night. Anyways, same as before, selling some of my gear. Check out the goods. Up for sale is.... my Burton board bag. Great for travel, has LOADS of padding and has safely protected my gear on 4 flights. This bag has tons of storage and pockets. Last time i used it i was able to fit one board without bindings, a board with bindings, one set of boots, my snow pants, jacket, gloves, goggles and a few pairs of socks and shirts, with a little extra room left over. Bag comes with built in handles, and detachable padded shoulder strap. Also has lock down straps inside the bad to hold your board in place. Don't know exact size, but my "wide" boards fit fine, and my 159 board fits with about 4 extra inches of usable space (tip/tail) The bag is in great shape, no tears, no rips, all zippers work like new. ASKING $50 plus shipping. 2009 Lib Tech Skunk Ape 157 Wide Banana Traction. Board is in great condition. 3 or 4 small scuffs on top coat. NO sidewall dings, and only 1 very small ding on base (measures 3/4 inch long, about 1/8th inch wide) There are about 8, very shallow scrapes on the base, mainly from ice, or twigs...and honestly after a fresh wax most of those are no longer visible. This board has NEVER seen the park, no rails, no boxes, no jibs...this was my groomer day board for the past 3 years. I am the only owner/user of this board. ASKING $350 plus shipping Drake Super-S bindings L/XL (I wear size 12 and have zero fitting issues) Sorry i don't remember the model year....but i believe they are about 6 years old. In great shape, left binding toe strap has a little cracking on the edges. nothing severe, totally cosmetic. All straps work well. Pretty stiff bindings, and are on my top 3 list of favorite binders i have ridden. ASKING $50 plus shipping. Would REALLY like to sell this as a set. will take 50 bucks off if you buy the bag,board,binders...so 400 for the lot. Once again, pictures of the gear..

ANNNNYWAYS... here is a FB photo album with said gear...
5/18/2011 8:13:19 PM just got back from ours here in Columbus Ohio...... noticed there were a decent number of bike riders on here and was wondering if any of you have either ridden on one, or come in contact with one.. for those of you that don't know, the "Ride Of Silence" is a completely silent ride, in honor of all the bicycle riders that have died due to vehicle related crashes in the last year. An official ROS has a police escort and applied/applies for "parade" permits so the ride can stay together despite traffic lights. this year there were around 200 of us, maybe 250. picture below is of the ride this year, from my phone about 30 or so people from the end. Past years we have had over 400 and once close to 600 people out to show support. Anyways, me being the bike nerd i am    i just wanted to give a shout out to the 11 people in the state of Ohio that lost their life this year, and to anyone in the world that also paid the toll on a bike world wide. Stay safe my friends, expecially with the warm weather upon us... (well, those that aren't blessed with 20inch of fresh this past week!! )
4/24/2011 10:10:48 AM Happy zombie jesus day everyone. anyone else out there celebrate the TRUE easter? As in the end of death, and the re-birth.....of plants? And anyone else out there seem to get a little pissed off during these "holidays"? dunno why...but i do.
