9/6/2014 6:44:00 PM Seriously, my standards are so low for California that I'd ride anything this season.
1/24/2013 5:44:34 PM Definitely going with the Niners but the Ravens are a tough physical team, which could give the Niners some problems.
4/25/2012 12:47:27 PM I was lucky I didn't damage my tailbone but sitting down was torture for a good 3-4 weeks. I definitely feel your pain there. I also have a wrist issue that shows up every once in a while but at least it doesn't keep us from riding!
4/25/2012 11:46:02 AM First day of the season I landed on my ass onto ice, about a 5-foot drop off a jump. Landed on one ass cheek instead of square on the tailbone, and ended up with some soft tissue damage in my ass cheek and hip. Kept on riding and tore my MCL the same day. That put me out a good 2 months or so, then I promptly sprained my ankle on my return to the slopes. Back to rehab... Still not fully healed but good enough to get several good days of riding late in the season, but I feel like I'm just barely getting back into the groove I was in at the end of last season.
11/6/2011 3:46:07 PM ippollite is right, it's just a gimmick for guys (and girls) to drink diet coke without the "diet". Like Dr. Pepper Ten but not quite as crass.
9/18/2011 2:31:22 PM @shing02: Yep, it's a very important article that shows you all of the Republican candidates in a new light. Even Ron Paul, the so-called libertarian, is in bed with the religious fundamentalist crowd. By the way shing02 the MC is pretty dope!
9/16/2011 1:29:21 PM Goodbye to All That: Reflections of a GOP Operative Who Left the Cult Most insightful thing I've read about U.S. politics in a while, written by a former Republican insider. READ THIS BEFORE YOU VOTE. It's a long piece explaining the hidden (in plain sight) agenda of the modern-day Republican party: The GOP cares solely and exclusively about its rich contributors. They never met a war they didn't like, debt be damned.Mix politics with religious fundamentalism. Very ballsy things to say from a former GOP staffer!
9/16/2011 1:20:43 PM Sort of... that's the politically correct way of saying that you support homeschooling. There is a big push for anti-science homeschooling (creationism, abstinence-only sex ed, etc.) in the evangelical community. They hate public schools mostly because they don't teach "Bible science".
9/16/2011 12:58:14 PM I have a roof rack and I do get a little concerned about my boards up there. Bug guts were embedded in my base for about half of the season last year. Just give your boards a good wipe down after the drive and you'll be fine. The rust and grime will come off when you hit the slopes. Edge rust is something I've learned to live with - it's ugly but doesn't affect your ride if you keep your board maintained. If you want to prevent lasting damage, I think the most important thing is to dry off your boards immediately after you arrive at your destination. Thank god they don't salt the roads in my area, it sounds awful.
9/5/2011 10:42:06 AM Only three teams signed up so far. Let's do this!
9/5/2011 10:32:23 AM Ukraine is beautiful! Very nice pics, thanks for sharing.
9/2/2011 1:40:15 PM And since this the official TruSnow league, does the winner get a Blue Bird?
9/2/2011 1:38:55 PM Sounds cool Zakk. But the Yahoo won't let me join your league through the link, instead it asks for the league ID #. Go ahead and take Makarov... it's all about offensive defensemen like Ozolinsh.
8/26/2011 2:21:44 PM I consider outerwear to be the least important piece of gear. As long as it's waterproof and warm, I'll rock it til the threads come off.
8/26/2011 2:00:53 PM It sounds like a lot of people are more trusting of recycled water than I am. But a lot of bad stuff survives through the water treatment process: Reclaimed water - Concerns Even with the unknown heath effects and potential environmental damage, I still recognize that we're running out of fresh water. Better to use the fresh water for drinking and recycled water for other purposes. On the other hand, you gotta acknowledge that money is the driving force behind this decision. Profits tend to make health/environmental concerns go away. Dunno how I feel about it, I'm torn.
