7/24/2012 9:56:37 AM I have a couple things for sale because I have outgrown them. First, is an XL DC Spectrum jacket in new condition. (I used it about 10 days because of how happy I was to get it. It has been too small since I bought it.) $65 OBO Second, is a pair of Large Burton Cargo Pants Colorway: Air Twill Plaid. These pants just got too small after my first season. They have a little wear on the butt, however that's normal on a pair of first season clothes. They still have amazing waterproofing. $55 OBO I'll try to respond ASAP, but ever since this site went to TruOutdoors I've lost all interest.
3/1/2012 2:56:48 PM Well, my resort just closed for the year 4 hours ago. Am I the only one in this boat? We had a 53 day season... I hope someone is getting snow out there... Hoping Colorado is nice by the time that I get out there!
2/22/2012 4:47:01 PM Not sure if anybody has seen these before. I stumbled upon a seasonal edit and ended up realizing the guy was sponsored by a company called Bon Hiver. They feature a freebase technology to where you don't have to take your boot out of the binding however, take the binding off of the board. They offer 3 types; the 11, 13, and 18 series. They are a little pricey, but these things look sick. The edit where I stumbled upon them: http://vimeo.com/22188811 Bon Hiver's tech: http://bonhiver.com/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6pBgl0WyG8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNLKQc-crsA (Embed them if you want because I have no idea how to.)
2/7/2012 1:53:38 PM Alright in general, I need help with bindings. My original M5 hardware from Burton is shot, so I asked for a new set. Sure. Free of charge. BUT (Here's the catch.) my bindings move around on my board with this hardware (because they dig into the footbed and the rubber washer gets stripped) and I have to tighten them 3-4 times per day. I need a new alternative....Somebody HELP!!! Bindings: 10-11 Union Forces Board: 10-11 Burton Hero Showing that the screw sits way higher than the baseplate: Hardware: Footbeds: I am using the Union disc:
12/27/2011 5:18:22 PM DO NOT USE THIS METHOD IF YOU PLAN TO SELL YOUR BOARD LATER ON!!!!! Also, do not do this if you own a board that is still under warranty!! I remember a thread a while back about a guy who wanted to keep snow from sticking to his board but I can't seem to find it. Anyhow, I have found a pretty efficient way as long as you don't plan on selling your board. Tools needed: Screwdriver - for bindings 1 Scotchbrite pad Windex Paper towels So, what I did was removed all stickers and my bindings, then I took a scotchbrite pad to my board. I then used Windex to clean off the topsheet. Pros: Very slippery topsheet, Matte finish(I like this look more than a shiny one), removes some noticeable scratches. Cons: Puts small scratches on topsheet and WILL affect the board's resale value, flat finish(some don't like the "no-shine" look.), requires effort. Please don't say anything stupid like "Hey, that voids the warranty" - I already know that and I don't care. (Sorry, I didn't think to take before and afters) Without bindings: With Bindings: DO NOT USE THIS METHOD IF YOU PLAN TO SELL YOUR BOARD LATER ON!!!!! And do not do this if you own a board that is still under warranty!!
12/26/2011 3:06:56 PM So, my friend and I are heading out to PCMR, UT for MLK weekend. We planned on snowboarding for 4 days and doing college visits on the last day before we fly back. He knows his way around pretty well out there. So, to cut things short, our resort HAS NOT opened yet and we are wondering if there are any things that you guys would do while you were there besides the obvious. (ie: snowmobiling, good restaurants, fun places, etc.) Thanks!
10/5/2011 5:42:36 PM So I have a normal janky AT&T phone and a 1st Gen iPod touch that I can't add music to because it is stolen (not by me) and already synced to 5 computers (after my old iTunes crapped out on me). I have since made a new iTunes and added tons of music. With the snow season coming up I would like to have a music source and a phone and only carry one device [iPhone 4(s)]. I am trying to decide between the soon to be discounted iPhone 4, the new iPhone 4s, or wait for the iPhone 5. I went into my local AT&T store and asked how long it would be before the new iPhone 5 comes out and their estimate was "3-4 months TOPS", what do you guys think I should do? (P.S. I am eligible for an upgrade on my phone line)
9/9/2011 9:58:08 PM I ride medium sized jumps (25'-50') and I'm still locking in technical tricks on rails. I have a Burton Hero. It's okay but a little soft on the bigger booters and I'm looking to upgrade. I ride 95% Park and 5% Powder (My mountain doesn't get knee deep pow like some of you). My Hero does fine in the Powder though so I have that covered. I hear the Indoor Survival is a great board but I don't know a ton about it. I like the Stairmasters for the Camber Tech and I already have a softer R/C board for rails. I like the Fastplant for the Bambooyah core and I feel like I could go ham and not snap my board. I like the Park Pickle and Skate Banana for the renowned Mervin C2BTX and Magne-Traction tech. What board should I throw in my quiver? Feel free to reply and give any reasons for your choice.
7/13/2011 8:38:49 PM Hey guys, I don't care if this has been posted before I need some answers. My buddy and I are setting up a trip over the winter out west. We would prefer some resorts that are nice with a good Terrain Park and won't be super crowded. The trip will be around Christmas time and we want resorts in Utah/Colorado my friend is in the Park City area now and we are scheduling a trip when he gets back. I need your guys' help. THANKS!!
7/12/2011 8:08:24 AM Apparently Hugh Hefner died on Monday. What a shame. You will be missed you ladies man.
7/11/2011 8:22:45 PM Well, for those of you that watched it, what did you guys think about the Home Run Derby? I thought it was great to see the Son/Dad match-up come out and win.
7/11/2011 9:48:49 AM I just got back from a local shop who doesn't sell anything but mainly K2, Burton, Ride, and DC. I was talking to the manager who said that the stores buyer demoed some 2012 Lib Tech boards and was blown away by their new tech. They said that they are replacing Ride and K2 for Lib Tech. Anyone know what could be so special (other than the fact the Mervin makes amazing boards as it is)??
7/9/2011 1:43:05 PM I don't know if this has been posted already, but I was riding one day and I set my back foot WAYY back to get some gnarly Tail Press footy. Some guy watching us film said that I was cheating on my Tail Press. Do you guys think that I was cheating?? I can still lay down some sick presses because I have a really soft board but I was only doing it for the camera.
