|| I'm in Sac and I got it. I was driving to my soccer game, blasting tunes to wake myself up and all of a sudden this blaring alarm cuts through. I thought my car was going to explode. Amber Alert is a great system, but it probably would have been a good idea to let people know about the alarm thing.

||Hoping United buy a quality midfield player. And if Rooney goes, another striker. Would be cool to see Villa and Higuin in the Premier League. Hope City buy Suarez because he is a scumbag and would fit right in there. That Spain/Brazil game was really good. I was surprised at how seriously they were taking it, especially Brazil. They got after Spain, kicked them about a bit, pressed hard and totally outplayed them.

||Yeah, I have little kids that ski - I wasn't really being entirely serious.

||Hahaha, I love the anticipation of watching a board careen down the hill with a rider giving desperate and futile chase, wondering if it's gonna wipe out some little kid weaving along in the dragon line... I probably hit Sugar Bowl 20 days a year and I've never been asked to wear a leash.

|| ^Good advice here. Also, Hollywood will not be what you're expecting. Frankly it's a bit of a dump. Unless you want free tickets to a taping of some lame show, go to Beverley Hills instead and gawk at all the 60 yr old broads with face-lifts and wanna be actors trying to get noticed.

||"What should I do in CA"is a pretty broad question Steeze, that's like when people ask where they should visit in Europe. It's big, and varied, and even in two weeks there's no way you could see everything here. There's a lot of outdoor beauty, lots of cool historic and cultural stuff, big cities, weird people... Lightning's list is very good. I'm from England and have people come visit me here all the time. It really depends what you're in to, but if I was to list the three can't-miss things it would be: 1. The drive up the 1, from Ventura to SF. So much cool stuff and amazing views all the way up that road. Whales, beaches with seals, Monterrey, Santa Cruz, HMB, Big Sur. That's proper old coastal CA. 2. Yosemite. It's amazing. Been a dozen times (climbed halfdome twice) and every time I go it amazes me all over again. 3. In-N-Out Enjoy your trip, this is the best state in the Union.

||Sugar Bowl no, but I always get told to put one on at Homewood. The hot wax station at the bottom of the hill sells them for $5. I do think it's a sneaky little side-business to make you go buy one. I just leave one in the back of my car because I kept forgetting. REI ship to store is a good suggestion. It's annoying as hell to have to strap one on, but every now and then you see some fool chasing a runaway board down the bunny hill!

||It's not that no one watched or no one cares, it's just that no one likes Germans. You should know that joe. Bayern have been by far the best team in Europe this year. The two games against Barca were beyond impressive.

||I ordered a Churchill LTD. Can't wait to get it. I'm new to longboarding so I don't really have an expert opinion, but I'll post up some sort of "review" after I've ridden it a little. At least a comparison with the Moose board I've been learning on.

||I am loving cruising around the neighborhood on my board. I started our using it as transportation, to get to the gym and stuff, but now I kinda like just riding it around for fun, especially now that it's summer. I already feeling like I need to upgrade though. I really like the look of those Churchill drop throughs. Does anyone have any experience with them.

||Really? Even if they get rid of Torres, you're telling me they win the quadruple with Demba Ba and Lukaku up front?

||I hit Sugar Bowl today. Very crunchy this morning, but it softened up by lunch. Should be nice this weekend - sunny and slushy.

||Or just rock a kilt, commando style.
|3/20/2013 12:25:16 PM
||Yeah, I'm bailing on work and going tomorrow. Especially if the season may end in a few weeks.

||Storm that promised a couple of feet is now looking like a few inches of wet slush. Really depressing spring so far. Guess you just have to make the most of the bluebird days, but I'd really like one more good storm.
