2/15/2012 11:21:30 AM Went there early January and it wasn't much to rant n' rave about..... Then again nothing in the midwest really is lol.... I hate where I live
2/15/2012 11:18:44 AM Woohoo headin to Granite Peak for the first time this weekend, hopin to have a little fun even with the low snowfall this season.... I dont have time to look through and see if it has been addressed recently on here, but how is the terrain park lookin out there?
1/10/2012 6:02:22 AM Nowhere in Tahoe is good to go to right now due to the temps and the displacement of the jetstreams right now. It costs like 91$ just to go to Heavenly and they only have 6 runs on the Cali side open... THEN if you wanted to go hit the whopping 12 runs open on the Nevada side (I use the term open quite loosely) you will have to take a shuttle bus because the runs dont even connect. so after u waste a good 45 minutes to an hour doing all that you get some riding in on some trashy runs that beat ur board up inevitably.... I wish I could say different right now but STAY AWAY FROM TAHOE!
1/4/2012 6:19:56 AM Just got back from Lake Tahoe and it was definitely a bust for me. I went to Heavenly to check things out and there passes were $91 dollars STILL with only 6 runs available on the Cali side, and I you wanted to hit up the NV side you would have to take a shuttle cuz all the trails didnt connect. Since I found that to be a load of BS I decided to go to Sierra at Tahoe a couple days which they chopped there prices down to $50 a day (much more reasonable for the conditions).... Where Does Heavenly get off selling full price tix for less than %25 of the mountain open? Mind boggling
12/24/2011 3:46:07 AM 360 from a 1440 and you think doing this will get you another 1080?? Man, I need to sawzall my TR PRO for sure..... Lol
12/21/2011 6:00:11 AM @Seacow, Yea I checked accuweather cuz im going there between christmas and Jan. 2nd...... From now until January 2nd there is supposedly clear skies and highs of 40.... January 3rd, ITS GOING TO SNOW. I think God hates Tahoe this year.... Thats all I can get out of this
12/21/2011 5:52:37 AM For some reason I have always had this trouble with ALL Burton Toe Caps after a while.... The ratchets tend to loosen up a bit and the teeth on the strap arent really that deep so its hard to get a good grab in my opinion. I still Ride Burton Bindings even with the issue occurring from time to time because they have a great selection. Try some over the top of the the boot straps, maybe that will help ...
12/21/2011 5:47:40 AM Yea after reading this I have no doubt in my mind that kids should be accompanied by an adult, OR that should enforce the safety bar rule.... Either way I'm sure that this type of freak accident can be avoided if some rules were set in place. Lets watch out for our youth so we can continue to see our sport grow!!
12/20/2011 6:08:13 AM X-mas day I'll be flying in to Sacremento to go boarding in the tahoe area with a couple of my homies.... Goin to a bulls V. Sac Kings game on the 28th and doin all kinds of boarding wherever it is possible out there. I just looked at accuweather and its supposed to be clear skies there until the day after I leave.... God hates me..... and the Bears for that matter
12/19/2011 6:10:49 AM Hey everybody, just seeing if anyone has some input on what is "open" right now out in Tahoe because I only know of a few different sites to check on.... I leave for Tahoe area in 6 days and I am hoping there is at least SOMEWHERE to go and get some boarding in.... Any suggestions!?
12/19/2011 5:57:32 AM I agree with Rook, AK got dumped on and already has 100" plus of snowfall.... Spensers vids do it plenty of justice. My buddy is out in Washington @ MT. Baker and was able to snowboard by Thanksgiving so I would assume they would have more than most..... Everyone do there Snow dances, 6 Days from today I will be in Tahoe and they havent had more than 12" snowfall total.... By this time last year they were in the 130" area!!!
12/12/2011 3:24:51 PM Wow, some people just don't know when they lose huh? Now "go away" if you would like, or continue to entertain me by looking like a fool... Your choice.... And for the record they were exactly 4:38 apart since u are also too impaired to read a digital clock. Wanna keep this going??
12/12/2011 2:56:36 PM O and just a little hint, when you say "literally" it doesn't mean exagerate... How could I have typed those two messages two second apart from each other when they were both four or five lines? And where on here does it show the seconds? Oh yea NOWHERE, quit lying to try and weasel your way out of looking like a hypocrit
12/12/2011 2:47:09 PM I decided to answer your scrutinizing via message instead of discuss it on a thread.... And where in ANY of the messages do I start "name calling?"
12/12/2011 12:35:35 PM Get those bjorn edition Targas theyre nasty, definitely better color scheme for the board and they will turn heads for sure.... BTW Piranha, aren't you the one that made a big deal out of double posting the other day??? Lok what you just did.... (point who-ring ) so quit sending me personal crybaby messages since you obviously can't practice what you preach...
