11/27/2015 9:41:07 AM I'm a snowboarder so I agree but safety is not the argument currently being made by the Alta lawyers.  I'm looking at the perspective of what the courts are likely to do.  There isn't an argument over safety but whether or not Alta is within rights to ban specific equipment and there is no strong precedence or law that does not give them that right.
11/23/2015 2:24:34 PM We all know the reason behind the ban but it's a matter of whether or not they are permitted to do so.  If the courts rule that banning snowboards is like banning sleds, tobaggans, snowmobiles, etc then there's not much that we (I'm a snowboarder) can do. The argument might be that if Alta is not allowed to ban snowboarding equipment, then they should not be allowed to ban anything else either.  If they can't, no mountain that is on federal land will be able to, which may open the door for other lawsuits for other mountains. Snowboard equipment is not a protected class like race, gender, or religion in federal law.  As much as it annoys me, I'll take my snowboard and money elsewhere if I'm not wanted.
11/18/2015 2:01:51 PM http://www.courthousenews.com/2015/11/18/snowboarding-bias-swirls-into-10th-circuit.htm ' "This case is about equipment, not about people," Thaler said, going on to describe a situation in which an individual, who both skied and snowboarded, might approach the resort with a snowboard and be turned away - only to be accepted if they came back with skis, the permitted equipment on the mountain.'
9/12/2015 6:37:45 PM Wow, I've never seen a board like that before.  I'll give it a shot, thanks for posting!
8/5/2015 3:59:06 PM It's scarier than that.  Apparently TruSnow isn't even responding to general questions about products or orders.  It's like this website/company has been completely abandoned.  Some moderators have reported losing their admin abilities so they can't even take care of spam anymore.
7/21/2015 1:14:38 PM Was just browsing through and noticed that they have a $20 discount code if you spend $100 or more on Lightspeed products.  They have a few air mattresses for sale and they're all under $100 so you'll either have to buy two or get some fillers.  Hopefully this helps: http://amzn.to/1TOlTgL
7/21/2015 1:11:09 PM That's terrible.  Did you try reaching out to customer service?
7/21/2015 10:34:36 AM That's too bad, I don't post too much but I like lurking and reading other posts from people who have similar interests.
7/16/2015 8:42:20 AM I lolled at "Optimus is the only Prime that won't disappoint."  Ended up only getting the gift cards.  The Kershaw knife was out of stock by the time I got around to it.
7/14/2015 9:40:37 PM Anyone got their eye out on anything?  Was hoping for some outdoor gear but didn't see anything that caught my attention except possibly getting a new Kershaw knife. http://amzn.to/1M4Oqw0 On the electronics side, the Kindle Fire Stick looks tempting but I already have a Chromecast: http://amzn.to/1GkSAsx Supposedly going down to $24 starting 7/15 Prices haven't kicked in yet but they're saying that it will rival Black Friday sales
4/1/2015 3:42:48 PM Heard that Killy is still pretty decent.  Co-worker went and said that they're trying to stay open through May, which I find doubtful but would be amazing.
3/12/2015 2:11:18 PM Forecast is for 100% rain on Saturday.  We're still a few days out so hopefully it'll get colder and be forecasted for snow for you.  Sunday looks like snow but not going to be great if it rains the day before.
3/12/2015 2:05:16 PM Philly is practically unrecognizable right now.  At least they picked up Demarco Murray
3/11/2015 8:57:24 AM I think even another week will be tough with all the rain this week and 40 - 50 degree weather.  Not even cold enough for them to fire up the snow guns.
12/22/2014 5:09:01 PM East Coast has been relatively awesome this year, especially VT.  Heading out to Mt Bachelor in late January though so I'm hoping some of that good luck spreads across the country.
