1/2/2010 11:09:31 AM A loyal in store customer and friend of the shop happens to be a legit fly fishing guide and casting instructor.  Just a little taste of what it's like to go out fly fishing with someone that is as passionate and caring about fly fishing as we are about skiing and snowboarding.  I've had the opportunity to show Bill some of the art of skiing his Line Prophet 100s and we've definitely spent more than a couple of days tuning in my fly fishing skills. It's great to see his love and respect for fishing and fish represented in these videos.  Enjoy and throw him a rating/comment if you're liking his stuff. Day with Bill Snap T Spey Casting

11/10/2009 10:35:29 AM I currently have the 2009 Line Motherships in a 195cm length, and I'm looking to add a fun, progressive powder ski into the mix.  When riding in softer snow conditions I honestly ride or land about 10-20% of the time switch and enjoy playing with the terrain (ie wind-lips, cliffs, natural woops, tree bonks, etc).  I have a few skis that I'm debating between, so if you have some insight into why I might like one more than the other please chime in. 11/10/2009 8:37:06 AM http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/Browns-fans-to-protest-the-ongoing-Browns-ness-o?urn=nfl,199152 Sickened by the nearly constant losing since the NFL team’s return in 1999, Randall hopes the sight of empty seats for the start of the nationally televised Monday night game will send a loud message to owner Randy Lerner and club officials that fans have had enough.“We’re tired of losing,” the 39-year-old Randall said. “We’re tired of the booing, of seeing fans leave in the fourth quarter. There are fans who have had tickets for 30 years who are turning their seats in because they can’t take it anymore. So many fans are fed up.” How many times do you get to see an empty stadium at kickoff?  I'm not sure that I agree with the sentiment of fans that were so die hard to own season tickets for 30 years just to give them up because their team is having a prolonged dry spell.Regardless, the start of this game could end up being more entertaining than the actual game itself.
11/3/2009 10:20:14 AM Get your mouse clicking finger ready!  For a super limited time, we're bringing back the 50-70% off sale. 2009 and older Snowboards, Boots, and Bindings: 50% OFF 2009 and older Jackets, Pants, and other softgoods: 70% OFF You guys are getting the extra heads up.  Figure out what you want ahead of time, because this sale is coming in with a fury and will not last long.
9/18/2008 3:27:13 PM Hey ya'll, I didn't want to move the topic because it's ski related, but even if you don't ski make your way over and post your thoughts on the new Roxy ski graphics. They're stoked to get your opinion on the new looks of their skis. http://www.sierrasnowboard.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=19044

7/23/2008 4:54:31 PM I'm surprised that I'm the first one to comment on this ongoing news story.  It all started out close to a week ago when Quinton Jackson, a UFC mixed martial arts fighter, apparently did a couple hit and runs with his truck, got in a high-speed chase with police, and was finally arrested after having his rear tire blown out.  It keeps getting weirder, because the next day after being bailed out of jail, the police get flagged down at his house by his friends and he gets taken in for a psychological evaluation.  Now news of some crazy fasting with only water and energy drinks (sounds like Donald). What are your thoughts on the whole thing:  His career after, possible jail time, what action the UFC should take? http://mmamania.com/2008/07/17/report-quinton-rampage-jackson-arrested-again/ http://mmamania.com/2008/07/17/tim-sylvia-michael-bisping-chuck-liddell-dana-white-and-marc-ratner-comment-on-rampage-jackson-situation/ http://mmamania.com/2008/07/18/dana-white-rampage-jackson-went-on-some-crazy-fasting-thing/
7/17/2008 4:26:58 PM It's getting close to that time of year again, and if you've ever ridden a 2008 Dynastar Ski, you'll be just as pleased with what they have to offer for 2009.  Here's a sneak peek at the line-up. 2009 Dynastar Legend Pro Rider Skis 2009 Dynastar Contact 4x4 System Skis 2009 Dynastar Contact 10 System Skis 2009 Dynastar Legend Mythic System Skis 2009 Dynastar Legend Mythic Skis 2009 Dynastar Legend 8000 System Skis 2009 Dynastar Huge Trouble Skis 2009 Dynastar Big Trouble Skis 2009 Dynastar Troublemaker Skis 7/17/2008 1:48:08 PM This might seem similar to some old threads, but I'm going to throw a little spin on it.  This is a place for you to voice your opinions on your gear that you have spend a substantial amount of time on.  Most of us have tested gear, and that gives you a great idea of how it rides, but nothing is more telling about a glove, goggle, board, binding, etc, than owning and riding with product day in and day out.  Let's keep these reviews more than just a line/sentence; I'll try to give a good start. 2007 Option Sansalone (close to the same board as the Option Franchise; the Franchise just has a better base). 2008 Option Franchise In 06 I was looking for a board that had a fairly even flex, and wasn't quite as soft as your typical park board; the Option Sansalone caught my eye.  When mounting it up for the first time, I made a mistake by measuring from the tip to the front bindings and then from the tail to the back bindings.  This left me thinking that the board had a set-back stance, so I mounted my bindings further forward for a more freestyle stance (little did I know that it was a twin, but there was a longer nose past the contact points for soft-snow rideability). After figuring that out and knocking down the tip and tail contact points a bit, I began to quickly fall in love with the way that board rode.  Having a nice firm flex throughout the whole length of the board, it's amazing being able to really drive the nose of the board through a carve, and the amount of pop in the tail made the Sansalone a super energetic ride.  Accessable to so many different riding styles, my friend, who had recently fractured his 155cm Salomon, hopped onto my 161 Sansalone and claimed it was one of the best boards he had ever riden in the park. There are times and places for soft jib boards, but a true snowboard needs to have that secure feeling that lets you know you can ride the whole mountain with it. Hopefully this will be a good thread where you can voice your experiences of the gear that you ride, and if you end up writing a good review for this thread, why not throw it up on the product page that it's for (that's why we have the wiki). Keep it constructive, and enjoy.
6/26/2008 3:44:21 PM Here's your chance to Win/Earn a free Palmer Flash Ltd snowboard! We've decided to add some spice to the daily giveaways, and here's how we're doing it.  Over the course of the next week, complete the tasks below, and we'll pick the winner on Thursday July 3, 2008. Step 1:  Get a camera that has a fast shutter speed (if you don't know what that is, then ask a friend that knows about cameras, or google it). Step 2:  Find a sweet background, or something that's going to make your photo stand out from the rest. Step 3:  Start shaking your face side to side with relaxed facial muscles. Step 4:  Have someone take a picture mid-shake. This will leave you with a sweet picture that we affectionately dubbed a "face-punch picture."  Pick and submit your best picture by 12 noon PST on Thursday, July 3rd (one picture per contestant); that's when we'll get to work on voting for our favorite "face-punch picture."  Get out there, have fun, be creative, and remember... DO NOT ACTUALLY PUNCH YOURSELF IN THE FACE! Enjoy. We need a minimum of 15 contestants in order to make this give-away happen.  Let's get through this long summer by being silly and giving a way a free board for it.
3/21/2008 3:23:12 PM So this started about a week ago and I have been struggling with admiting that I may have a problem.  I have been borrowing my roommate, Tom's, clothes lately and ever since I started wearing his stuff my nipples itch like crazy!  The weird thing is, is that he just got back from Mexico and Im worried that he may have brought something back with him.  I'm not sure what kind of people he was with, or if he ever even washed his laundry since he came back, but it's a little concerning to me.  I mean its not like it was the first time that I have worn his clothes we used to share "all" of our clothes since we are roughly the same size. Does anyone have any suggestions about what may be causing the nipple itchage?? I have attached a photo so that you guys can get a better idea of what I am dealing with here.  You can't see the irritation very well, but it's there.  Seriously though it is really bothering me, I know there is some very strange stuff that can go on in mexico.
