1/13/2011 3:30:27 PM SOLD!!!
12/28/2010 3:04:54 PM Ok, so I am looking to trying something with zero camber.  I think the cheapest way for me to do this is via a Salomon Answer (maybe if it is really flat).  Anyway there is tones of conflicting info online about this board (trust me I have read everything there is to read).  Angry snowboarder says it's flat, evo says it's cambered, others say it's cambered with wingtips.  Also there are conflicting reports about wether it is tapered or a twin shape, evo says it's twin, this site specs are totally shtooked (says the tail is wider than the nose and they are both narrower than the waist width).  Anyway I am looking for someone who has one of these who can take some camber profile pics and take a few measurements for me.   Thanks,Rook
10/7/2010 2:55:38 PM Title says it all I am looking for a Nitro Team Gullwing 162 -Wide.  New or Used, let me know what your have.
9/3/2010 4:40:08 PM I am looking for a powder board for a friend,  want something with taper or 'cartoon' rocker (tons of it) or both. eg. Malolo, Charlie, Gyrator, Abacus, Sick Stick, Mullet or whatever else you have (it can be a few years old also.....) PM me if you have anything that would work (and the price you want for it).
8/19/2010 10:11:12 PM I have found a board on CL that I want that is a pretty good deal the only downside is the owner will only sell it as a package (w/boots and bindings).  He in lies my question, I am familiar with the buying/selling market of higher end gear (think $200 Msrp and above retail pricing for boots and bindings), but I know nothing of lower end gear.  So, what would a pair of 2010 burton freestyles (size large) and a pair of 2009 32 STW boa boots be worth?  They are both like-new, ridden less than 5 times (I can't even tell they have be ridden but whatever) and keep in mind that I will most likely do a CList sale.
6/3/2010 9:51:07 AM So even though the bull won this fight it was killed by the other matadors but he got his shot in. WARNING: EXTREMELY GRAPHIC PHOTOS BELOW If you don't want to see a guy get gored in the neck DO NOT SCROLL DOWN. Julio Aparicio, one of Spain's most famous matadors, was gored in the throat today during a bullfight. The horrific injury has left him in critical condition:"[The horn] went though the tongue and penetrated the roof of the mouth, fracturing the jawbone," one of the medics who worked on Aparicio told AFP news in Madrid.[UPDATE: After two operations, it appears leading surgeon Maximo Garcia Pedros has saved Aparicio's life. The bull, however, was quickly killed by other matadors.]The incident took place during the Festival of Saint Isidro, considered to be the most important event in the bullfighting calendar, at the Plaza de Toros las Ventas bullring, which can seat up to 24,000 people.Scroll down for photos and video of the goring. WARNING: they are not for the faint of heart.
3/23/2010 11:00:08 AM While spending the night in Anchorage, Alaska Spenser and friends wanted pizza but had no money...... http://failuremag.com/index.php/failure_analysis/article/teens_steal_pizza_face_swat_team/ Teens steal pizza, face SWAT teamWritten by Jason Zasky  as part of Failure AnalysisMarch 23—The pizza at Sicily’s in Anchorage, Alaska, must be really, really good. So good that it’s worth dying for—or at least spending years in prison. On Sunday night, four youths—two 19-year-old males and two females (ages unknown)—robbed a Sicily’s Pizza delivery driver at gunpoint. The driver resisted and a struggle ensued, but the quartet eventually secured the pizza and ran off. They did not take the driver’s money. The driver followed one of the females—who apparently wasn’t as fleet of foot as her accomplices—to a nearby apartment. When Anchorage police arrived on the scene they took the girl into custody, but the males—Joseph Nicalaskey and Cesasr Alvarez-Jennings—and the other female barricaded the door and refused to come out.“They communicated to the officers that they knew they were going to jail and didn’t want to come out because they wanted to eat the pizza,” said Lt. Dave Parker.Police subsequently called in a SWAT team, which broke into the apartment and arrested the trio. The males were charged with first-degree robbery, third-degree assault, and resisting an officer. The females were charged with robbery and assault.  Read more: http://failuremag.com/index.php/failure_analysis/article/teens_steal_pizza_face_swat_team/#ixzz0j1XaPMaI ***** Disclaimer I know Spenser lives far from Anchorage but its still funny.
3/19/2010 11:42:38 AM I thought it would be time to let some of the noobs know of the greatest post Whore of all time: The one the only Angry Agent! http://www.sierrasnowboard.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=23405&PN=1 Specs on Angry Agent: Joined Sept 29th/2008 Reached 10,000 posts on Fed 19th/2009 So in only 143 days he posted 10,000 times that is a staggering 70 posts per day. I will admit I was one of many of us who thought he would stick around after he got his free shirt/goggles/bindings/board (you used to get a point per post no cap), but alas, he left as quick as he came.  Thank god Sierra made the new limit of 5 posts per day, so to all you aspiring post whores out there you will never be the GWOAT.
3/17/2010 8:42:25 AM http://www.nytimes.com/2010/03/16/science/16tier.html This is why I love red bull. Supersonic skydive from 23 miles up.  "Fearless Felix, as his fans call him, has something more difficult on the agenda: jumping from a helium balloon in the stratosphere at least 120,000 feet above Earth. Within about half a minute, he figures, he would be going 690 miles per hour and become the first skydiver to break the speed of sound. After a free fall lasting five and a half minutes, his parachute would open and land him about 23 miles below the balloon." “We just don’t know what will happen to Felix and the suit when he goes supersonic,” The best part is they have no idea what will happen to him once he goes supersonic, he could get knocked out, ripped apart nobody knows.   All I have to say is this guy is shtooking CORE (for once I think this is the correct usage of core).
3/15/2010 4:06:45 PM I have the chance to pick up a brand new 09 Gyrator 168 for a good price. Does anyone have any experience with it? Any thoughts will be appreciated.  It would be a pow board only for me (West coast cement pow mostly). And I will be breaking my 262mm WW Rule to get this thing (Its 258mm), but I have come to the conclusion that finding a pow specific board for guys with big feet is very difficult.
3/12/2010 4:43:59 PM I have been apart of some other forums in the past and some of them have this really cool forum section called the hall of fame for great and timeless threads, I was thinking SS should have something like that.  There have been so pretty epic threads gone by the wayside, Jessica vs. Jessica, some of the man card threads were brilliant, this whole burton/sierra issue, and perhaps the GTOAT (Greatest Thread of All Time) the Dustin like to Dance got served thread. We would need to establish ground rules because the last thing we would want to 500 threads in there.  Heres what I was thinking:1 thread max per month to enter the hall. (can be zero if there wasn't something hall of fame standards).Must be voted on by the community and need to receive 75% of the votes to get in (just like Baseball). To make thing easier only Staff and Expert members can nominate threads.Threads can be pulled from the hall if they turn crappy (again by a Staff/expert nomination and a 75% vote from the community). What do you guys think?
3/8/2010 5:15:32 PM I am looking for a Never Summer Legacy-R 161 for a friend.   PM me if you have one you want to get rid of.
2/12/2010 1:16:56 PM http://www.ctvolympics.ca/skeleton/news/newsid=39315.html?cid=rsstsn Wow shitty start for the Games.   There is a video link on the site too.
2/10/2010 10:36:34 PM I just got back from the final Olympic opening ceremony rehearsal.  It was pretty good, the first 5 mins are awesome (if you can only see 5 mins of it watch the first 5).  I can't really say anything about it (sworn to secrecy), but I will say that a sport has officially become mainstream when it opens the opening ceremonies to an Olympic games.
10/20/2009 1:50:27 PM So I got up this morning and my car (03 Civic) had been broken into, they got my stereo and mine and my gf's sunglasses which sucks and its a $300 deductible on my insurance which also sucks. The best part is this shtooking guy couldn't figure out to get into my car: Step 1: Try to punch the passenger side lock.... oh wait that didn't work ok lets just completely shtook up the door and try to get the whole lock out.  Damage done by step one= Busted lock and totally shtooked up door (dented and scratched to shit). Step 2: Try to Slim Jim passenger door.... this also didn't work it just scratched the glass and messed up all the weather stripping.  Damage done by step two= Scratched glass and mangled weather stripping not to mention what he did inside the door b/c I can't unlock it or open it. Step 3: Try to pry open passenger side door and use the old coat hanger trick...... this also didn't work.  Damage done by Step tree= Bent window frame, ripped weather stripping and my door panel near the lock all scratched to shit. Too embarrassed to tell your friends (or drug dealer) you couldn't break into car to steal some stuff you can flip for $50  Try Step 4. Step 4: SMASH Back window on the passenger side.  Damage done by step four= See technique for step four. Oh ya and instead of just releasing the 2 clips and sliding the Deck out Punch a screw driver through the dash panel so you shtook that up too....... and don't for get to steal the change (approx 57 cents) and the car wash tokens........fml So end result 3 of my 4 doors have something wrong with them and my dash is destroyed and I am out $300.
