6/23/2015 11:56:29 AM What happened to Cain? His gas tank looked way smaller than usual against Werdum. Wonder if there was a training issue.
6/19/2015 1:45:53 PM VTBear- I'm so sorry. Many of my friends have 1-2 children aged infant to 6. They ALL look tired as all heck. I hear naps help a lot, if you can take them. Anyways, you have my sympathy.
6/19/2015 1:43:05 PM Dude, I'm sorry, but I was just bashing motorized electric longboards I've seen people ride around in Palo Alto. Those, however, look like longboards with a battery pack in between the trucks. Your ATV type board looks a lot more fun and faster, but I must say I still prefer asphalt and my feet for skating.
6/19/2015 1:38:32 PM Another skating related note: I don't know if this is anywhere else, but I currently live in Palo Alto and I've seen tons of d-bags riding these electric longboards. Seriously, how lazy does someone have to be to buy one of these things? Most look like they don't have the balance to kick and ride because the people I've seen do not look comfortable riding, and these boards cost $600-700. Some tech/SV people are strange.
6/19/2015 1:31:34 PM I went from 195 to 186 in the past 3 weeks. Nothing changed except that I recently got a dog from the animal shelter and I walk that pucker 1-2 times a day for 20-40 minutes each. I guess added walking sheds pounds. However, I don't feel like I'm in any better shape. It's just walking. Still, it's nice when it doesn't feel like the dryer is always shrinking my pants.
6/19/2015 1:27:20 PM I woke up late and forgot to pack a lunch. At first I was upset, but then I figured it would be a great opportunity to try the BBQ next door. Maybe a tri-tip sandwich today or some chicken. This has been my random morning. Also, I saw a wild turkey and bobcat/lynx at the outdoor archery range in south San Jose this past weekend. Both were incredibly beautiful. I wanted to take a picture, but we just stood there watching. It was really amazing. I think the deer, turkey, and other critters know that no hunting is allowed on the range property. They'll straight up walk in between you and the targets. Honey deer/bobcat don't give a what.
6/19/2015 1:05:24 PM Girlfriend just bought me a Hosoi hammerhead deck with independent trucks, and reds. I was getting some wheel bite, so I put risers under the trucks and it rides like a dream. It's a heavier board, but not nearly as heavy as I thought it would be. I've wanted this deck for 28 years and now I have it :)
6/12/2015 1:42:07 PM So many graduation parties recently. Congrats to all recent grads!
6/8/2015 2:01:18 PM Well, then a bump- for old time's sake.
6/3/2015 1:47:57 PM I do this too, but waxing boards doesn't feel like work at all. It's kind of calm9ng and centering for me. And, if the conditions are icy, the factory wax is usually gone from the edges in a few runs
6/3/2015 1:44:24 PM I really don't mind riding alone. Its nice, sometimes, when you don't have to wait for other people to buckle in or get down the hill. Of course, its usually during clear conditions on mountains that I'm familiar with. I don't want to get lost or buried, either.
5/27/2015 1:23:28 PM Depending on the snow, I usually do the opposite; but I think the idea is the same as MikeD's. I'm usually facing downhill, with my toes pointed down the mountain. Then I use my heel edge to dig a little terrace in the snow; making a small step. Then, just click in, turn the board 90 degrees and ride.
5/27/2015 1:16:18 PM I just want more of your popcorn balls :) It's been a while- Hope you and the fam is well!
9/30/2013 12:34:04 PM I've pretty much avoided the forums because I don't need to know that 'the stack overflow line is at 0' x 30 times. Posting takes way too long, and it's been this way for weeks. I agree with lightning... annoying.
