11/15/2012 4:54:03 PM What up peeps, been a while since I was on here Just a quick heads up to let you know that Doug is down in Mammoth this weekend for the first stop on the Thrive Community tour with a full demo fleet and the great news is we've negotiated a day rate of $59 for all Thrive community members  So anyone planning on going to Mammoth this weekend should hit us up at mailto:info@thrivesnowboards.com for info on lift tickets plus we have a limited number of spaces in the condo for people who wanna stay the night. If you're going anyway then pop into the demo tent and say hi to Doug and get the chance to demo any of the Thrive 2013 boards and a limited selection of outerwear. There'll be a good vibe going on, I'm sure some partying will happen in some of the old Sierra palooza vibe, plus schwag and some top level snowboard coaches to offer advice and tips and go riding with. Here's the first round of stops on the Community Tour, more are being added as we negotiate deals with resorts to offer people a great day out at a great price. Mammoth Early Season - November 17-18, 2012 http://www.facebook.com/events/116497291832826/ Check the FB Event Page for most recent updates. (Lodging is available)   Vail Thriving - November 30-December 2, 2012 http://www.facebook.com/events/493635180665380/ We are locked in for this event, contact us about lodging!!   VT Meetup - December 22-23, 2012 http://www.facebook.com/events/514027081941431 (Stay Tuned for details, Killington looks like it will be the destination.)   BruizzaPolooza 2013 - CO TBD (Breck) - February 8-11, 2013 http://www.facebook.com/events/509984389016228 This will be one of our big events!! Dates locked down, more info coming soon. Hope to see some familiar faces at these
6/28/2010 11:54:31 AM Hi guys I know a lot of you have been wondering which companies Sierra and going to be working with for producing collab projects for the 2011 season, so we thought you'd like to see where we're with that stuff. Yes we will be producing a range of boards for next season as well and we're currently involved in negotiations with several companies but I can't say anymore than that - don't wanna jinx anything Again, as soon as we have something finalized we'll let you know. First up is our collab bindings with Rome called the S90. Just had the production samples in and signed them off, so they're going into production asap - we know there's a binding shortage out there! Everyone in the office has been really impressed with them, they look trick. Everyone at Bettypalooza out in VT in March demoed Rome's 2011 bindings and loved them. A bunch of us were riding them at the Winter Park demos in January and were really impressed with them - we've used their best, top-end ankle strap which is probably the most comfortable one I've ever ridden Next up is our first venture into outerwear. We've produced a small, limited edition collection with Sessions with a jacket in 2 colorways and pants in 3 colorways. We're waiting on the production samples to arrive in the office but we're really stoked on how they're looking. A lot of the staff (and community) have been rocking Sessions this season - really great product from an awesome company. The owner Joel is such a cool guy - a bunch of us gotta hang with him at SIA and he's a blast. As soon as the production samples turn up we'll post pics up here Quick note here - don't pay too much attention to the names of the Sessions jackets and pants. We only used those particular models as reference for shape and a basic starting point. We customized the specs to what we wanted to achieve in a jacket/pants in terms of lining/waterproofing etc It's really been fun working with such a great bunch of people at both Sessions and Rome and we're really excited to have finished product land at the new warehouse. As soon as it gets in we'll let you guys know.
5/7/2010 11:20:52 AM Thanks to all the ladies of Sierra for all their feedback on the first 2 t-shirts - it's time for the headphones t-shirt. Ladies - let us know which color t-shirt you'd rock this Summer We're gonna try something a little bit different here and not have a poll so we will give the Ladies the option to put their favorite 2 colors in a post rather than a single vote eg "I like Baby Blue and Grass". Please limit your choice to 2 only. Note: This is for the ladies only. Guys please do not post in here, your posts will be deleted and you will go on my hitlist! Message from Little Ole Me If you have a code that's going to expire, wait until we get the restock, then Private Message me with your code and I can extend your expiration date accordingly.  Don't send me a message yet though, as I don't know exactly when these will be in.  Please be patient and we'll take care of you when we get the restocks. Here we go Sunshine Mint Black Raspberry Asphalt Baby Blue Gold Athletic Heather Eggplant Fuchsia
5/6/2010 3:12:19 PM Thanks to everyone for all their feedback on the voting for the Periodic Table and Ready To Butter t-shirts - it's been really helpful. Now it's the turn of the Headphones. Let us know which color t-shirt you'd rock this Summer We're gonna try something a little bit different here and not have a poll so we will give everyone the option to put their favorite 2 colors in a post rather than a single vote eg "I like Yellow and Kelly Green". Please limit your choice to 2 only. Please do not post multiple votes or vote more than twice in here. If you do your posts will be deleted and you will go on my hitlist and we'll revert to the 1 vote poll. This is going to be the last of the previous set of designs to be reprinted at this time. We're going to be doing some new designs over the next few weeks and we'll post up a poll to let you all vote on them Message from Little Ole Me If you have a code that's going to expire, wait until we get the restock, then Private Message me with your code and I can extend your expiration date accordingly.  Don't send me a message yet though, as I don't know exactly when these will be in.  Please be patient and we'll take care of you when we get the restocks. Here we go Yellow Aquatic Blue Black Pistachio Dark Heather Grey Orange Sherbert Kelly Green White Royal Fiery Red Athletic Heather

Please limit your choice to 2 only. Note: This is for the ladies only. Guys please do not post in here, your posts will be deleted and you will go on my hitlist! Here we go Light Heather Grass Eggplant Baby Blue Black Light Pink White Mint Raspberry Asphalt Lime Navy Fuchsia
4/30/2010 6:41:59 PM Thanks to everyone for all their feedback on the first 2 men's t-shirts no it's time for the ladies to let us know what they think. Let us know which color t-shirt you'd rock this Summer We're gonna try something a little bit different here and not have a poll so we will give the Ladies the option to put their favorite 2 colors in a post rather than a single vote eg "I like Baby Blue and Grass". 4/29/2010 9:05:10 AM Hey y'all Thanks for all the votes and feedback on the 'Periodic Table' T-shirt -really helps us figure out what colors people really want, rather than what colors a fashion magazine tells you you should buy So here's the second t-shirt we're gonna be re-ordering - Ready to Butter ( I was wearing it yesterday!) - same drill as before let us know which color t-shirt you'd rock this Summer So as summer is rapidly approaching we wanna know what color t-shirts you guys would wanna rock this summer. Do you go bright and light or stay with solid, deep colors? The more people vote the better chance of getting the colors you want. Ladies - your shirts will up for viewing tomorrow  1. Purple 2. Brown 3. Kelly Green 4. Dark Heather 5. Light Heather 6. Stone-washed Green 7. White 8. Black 9. Orange 10. Aquatic Blue 11. Lime Green 12. Turquoise 13. Red
4/28/2010 4:15:07 PM Hey y'all Been a busy few weeks with Sierraplaooza and working with lots of manufacturers on a number of different projects - all of which are pretty exciting, which we'll reveal when everything is locked down. BethM has been hassling me (in a nice way of course ) about re-ordering our stock of Sierra t-shirts so I'm on the case with that right now. We're gonna re-order a few of the top selling existing designs whilst we're working on some new shirts to drop. As always, we want to know your feedback on color options. We've got a good idea from our staff on what colors they like so now it's your turn to vote So as summer is rapidly approaching we wanna know what color t-shirts you guys would wanna rock this summer. Do you go bright and light or stay with solid, deep colors? The more people vote the better chance of getting the colors you want. Ladies don't worry we're gonna have a separate poll/thread for you as well. 1. Black 2. Dark Heather 3. Brown 4. Navy 5. Purple 6. White 7. Cardinal 8. Kelly Green 9. Dark Green 10. Dill Green 11. Aquatic Blue 12. Light Athletic Heather
4/21/2010 1:56:56 PM Yo peeps Sierraplaoooza was a blast and massive props to all who organized/contributed to its success. I brought a coupe of my Sierra Reverse Crews for people to demo and unfortunately one of them didn't make it back . If you mistakenly have a 159cm Sierra Crew Reverse Camber that has a dent in the nose and the rail has been knocked half through the base can you let me know to return it please

2/19/2010 7:55:38 PM Weird but this afternoon I've not been able to access either general or product chat. I'm using a Mac running OSX 10.5.8 and neither Firefox nor Safari will access it. I get the chat box but no text, users can see me logged in as someone sent me a question but I can't see the question or the user. Anyone else suffering or just me?
1/11/2010 5:20:48 PM Once upon a time there was a nice English unicorn called Stass who lived in the magical kingdom of America (see told you it was a fairytale ). Stass was a very happy unicorn who taught many people how to snowboard most days. She had been saving all her little unicorn dollars so she could go to a special party called Bruizzapalooza.  But poor Stass had a naughty car whose wheels broke and she had to spend all her hard earned unicorn dollars on new tires. So she couldn't go to the big party and she was a very sad unicorn.  Fortunately she had lots of lovely friends in the magical kingdom of America and even one in that strange land to the north where the sometimes speak French! So they all chipped in and paid for Stass to be able to go to the big party in Colorado. See, as with all good fairytales there's a happy ending – this one will involve lots of booze Roll call of those wonderful people to contribute will follow when I have a spare 30 seconds after finishing designing the chuffing t-shirt BTW I'm not your fairy godmother
12/4/2009 12:49:25 PM Ok guys and gals the world cup draw has just been made and has paired England and USA in the same group. Finally a chance to get even for that whole independence thing you guys pulled
11/18/2009 3:59:47 PM Hey y'all Thanks for everyone's comments and feedback for the t-shirt designs, we sent artwork for the first batch over to the printers so we should have those back pretty soon. As always we're gonna keep the community involved with the design of our boards for the 2011 season (yeah I know we're still waiting for delivery of our 2010 boards, it's crazy ) and taking in the feedback we get and seeing how that affects the development of the design. Mike, Airik and I were having a discussion on how we could involve the community even more with the design process and one idea was this one... If we provide a kit of parts (see images below) we could get the community to design their own characters within a framework (to ensure consistency of design style etc. That way we could run a competition within the community and have maybe upto 100 (approx) winners whose characters we print on a board (probably a park board). We'd be able to provide these kits of parts as either vector files for those with Adobe Illustrator/Freehand/CorelDraw skills and as B&W print outs so you can get old school and cut and paste them if you're not a computer freak So take a look at the sheets below to get the idea of what we're talking about and let us know what you think of the idea. If we get enough positive feedback this could be the basis of one of our boards for next season. Obviously if we go with this idea there's be quite a few more options for each part but there's enough variation in the sheets below to give an idea of what we're proposing.
11/4/2009 12:56:00 PM POST UPDATE Due to the coding teams' hard work we can now have upto 20 options on polls rather than the standard 10 we've been living with, so  a big round of applause for Mr Nighthawk please ladies and gentlemen So we've 2 new designs – one by Nighthawk himself CAWWWW! and a Snowboard Periodic Table, vote away and let us know in the forum if you're digging either of these. Sorry for the technical hitch, the first post with all the images on it got mysteriously deleted whilst I was at lunch - Sherlock Holmes will find out who is responsible for this crime and punish them So I'm gonna try and remember what I wrote this morning... What's up Sierra Community Thanks to everyone who voted in and commented on the sticker/die-cut poll, it made for very interesting reading and coupled with our own internal research definitely helped us define a list of choices and quantities to produce. We're dealing with technical specifications with a manufacturer so we're hoping to get these out to you guys and gals asap, we'll let you know when they'll be here as soon as we know. So whilst we were working on die-cuts we've also been designing a new range of t-shirts. Same drill as before, vote for your favorite in the poll and please let us know any comments/opinions you have on these designs. You'll see there's several options for colors/sizes/graphics on most of the designs – again let us know if there's a particular color scheme or positioning you really like. Keep praying for snow
