8/26/2010 7:02:35 AM If you only have a week left your arm is probably for the most part done healing. The cast will act as a really good wrist guard and you will be better off riding while its still on then right after it is taken off. After the cast is taken off your arm will be weak from being in a cast for so long and from just coming off an injury. People definitely do it all the time. I was at a boardercross comp in April in Colorado and I swear at least 4-5 people were competing with casts on. My friend also broke his arm last winter and he rode with a cast for a few weeks and he was fine. It all depends upon the risks you want to take. If you do reinjure it it will probably be a lot worse and you might need surgery.

8/2/2010 11:35:50 AM I'm not a huge fan of Shaun White, but you do have to admit he has progressed the sport a lot. He was the one who really pushed everyone into learning double corks, not to say it wouldve happened anyways. I dont mind if he wins as long as he has some competition, the judging is fair, and he adds something new. I'd like to see some new faces on the podium, but I'd like to see them beat Shaun White fair and square.
8/2/2010 11:10:30 AM I watched Air Jaws last night. That was pretty intense. The guy that went on the raft to get the shot of the great white breaching itself ~20 ft. away from him has some serious balls. That would scare the sh!t out of me.
8/2/2010 11:02:27 AM I hope Danny Davis gets back in the game. He was crushing it last year before he got hurt. He would have been Shaun White's biggest contender last year if he hadn't gotten hurt. I was really disappointed when I found out he got hurt.

7/27/2010 7:16:55 AM Yeah it sounds like from the meeting the Hornets had with Paul yesterday that he is going to at least start the season with the Hornets. I wouldnt be surprised if he was traded by the trade deadline to the Knicks or another team though. I think he wants to start the season and see how well they can do and what direction they will go in, but I personally don't see the Hornets improving that much. Paul also probably wants to see what Melo does, if he extends his contract with the Nuggets or not, and how other teams such as the Knicks start the season off. That way he can make a better decision as to where he wants to go.

7/26/2010 8:43:36 AM I went out to Colorado last season in early March and again early April. Both times they had a ton of snow. Both times I was there they got about a foot of snow. The views, terrain, and parks there are some of the best in the country. If you go about a hour from Denver airport you can easily get to Breck, Copper, Keystone, A-Basin, and Loveland which are all in the same area. Vail isnt too far either. The Lake Tahoe area looks good too a little bit further away though.
7/26/2010 7:49:46 AM Yo dude good luck getting your club started! I'm VP of our snowboard club at BU. We started off about 7 years ago and now we are the biggest club on campus with over 150+ members. If you havent tried it yet try contacting a lot of snowboarding companies to see if they'll sponsor your club. I know we get special deals and some free stuff to give out from companies like Sessions, Thirtytwo, etc.. It's also a good idea to try any local boardshops, they're usually pretty supportive.
7/26/2010 7:07:09 AM Anything thats cheap, easy to fit in my pocket, and not hard to eat on the chairlift. Granola bars are a personal favorite.
7/26/2010 7:01:48 AM If you're riding off-piste or backcountry just make sure you know where your going if your in real deep powder. Sometimes the best powder runs are off-piste but if you get stuck it can be dangerous, exhausting, and really time consuming trying to get out. Its happened to me a few times including one time in France when we thought an unmarked run reconnected at the bottom but it went into a flat riverbed. We had to hike all the way back up hill through the woods in waist deep powder. If your in knee deep powder you basically have to spread out your wait to get out or else you'll sink so deep you cant move. Try putting some weight on your board or crawl out.
7/23/2010 9:34:46 AM Durant is the man. I don't know if he'll win a ring before any of those guys, but I hope he gets league MVP or something next year.
