12/26/2013 2:36:09 AM Hi all,  I'm looking for some help in picking out my girlfriends first setup, being a board, boots, and bindings. She want's the gear to look good, but I obviously want it to function well and not be a load of crap. This is where I could use your help.  She's looking for a board around 150cm, and would like to keep the whole setup under $400 if possible. I know this is a stretch, but I was hoping some of you could help us out with some ideas. A used board is always an option as well.  Thanks.
2/10/2009 1:02:05 PM SAN JOSE, Costa Rica (AP)—Jeremy Lusk, an American freestyle motocross racer, died of head injuries Tuesday after crashing while trying to land a backflip in competition. He was 24. Jorge Ramirez, chief of the intensive care unit at Calderon Hospital where Lusk was taken, said the motocross racer suffered severe brain damage and a possible spinal cord injury. Lusk won a gold medal at the 2008 X Games. He was injured Saturday night when he failed to complete a full rotation while attempting a Hart Attack backflip and slammed headfirst into the dirt. Lusk crashed in almost identical fashion in the freestyle semifinals at the 2007 X Games but was not hurt. He had a successful 2008 season, winning Freestyle gold at the X Games and silver in Best Trick when he landed the first double-grab Hart Attack backflip. He won a bronze helmet in Freestyle at the Moto X World Championships in his hometown of San Diego. Ramirez said Lusk died with his parents and his wife, Lauren, at his side. “He was in a medicine-induced coma as a protective measure, and the medicine was being reduced to see how his organism responded,” he said. “That didn’t mean he was going to wake up. He was in shock and that got worse last night, until he stopped responding and entered into cardiac and respiratory failure.” Lusk lived in Temecula, Calif.
1/30/2009 1:50:50 PM Well, as you may have guessed, I'm heading up to Holiday Valley tomorrow. I can't wait! Has anyone been there before? Anything I should know? I figured I'd just share my excitement. ~Nate~
1/24/2009 2:17:46 PM I'm looking to buy something to keep me warm. I'd prefer some thing like a half mask for my nose to neck area. Anything I should take a look at? I can't seem to find much online, or in my local shop.
1/15/2009 9:37:01 PM I was just wondering, what was the scariest movie you have ever seen? For me, it would have to be Halloween 4. The first time I saw it, I was 8 or so, and it scared me to the point that I didn't sleep that night, and didn't sleep well for many nights to follow. I was over a friends house, and he was a fan of the series, as I am today, so I was pretty much forced to watch it. It just pushed a button with me, and that was that. I know it probably sounds stupid to most of you, but that was the movie that did it for me. I never really got where the scary part of "The Exorcist" was. That seems to be a popular choice among friends though.
1/11/2009 1:09:40 PM So 24 starts back up today (8pm est on Fox.) Anyone else excited? I know I am.
1/8/2009 4:40:10 PM I'm thinking about picking these up to get me through the rest of my season. My Missions broke last time I was out boarding (ratchets). My current backup pair of bindings the 5150 FF2000's that were my first bindings ever. I'm not sure if this would really be an upgrade with picking up the Freestyles for $35. Whats your opinion?
1/1/2009 3:04:36 PM After getting my new board for Christmas, I really want to take care of this one. I really didn't do anything with the upkeep of my old board, and it shows. I was just wondering what specific waxes I should take a look at. I know I'm going to need an all temp wax, I was just wondering what brands to look at. Also, what things are needed for tuning? Any opinions? Thanks in advance.~Nater~
12/29/2008 1:43:19 PM I was just curious about what the best budget goggles were. Any opinions? Thanks in advance.-Nater-
12/1/2008 3:19:23 PM Well, I just picked up the Burton Esquire jacket, and I was wondering if anyone had any reviews/experience with it, or just any opinions on it Thanks. ~Nater~
11/15/2008 7:32:23 PM Well, I just got back from a school history trip to Colonial Williasburg, VA. We also went to the original Jamestown site, as well as Mount Vernon and Monticello. I'd have to say that it has been one of the best experiences of my life so far. I just thought I'd share the trip, as well as hear any other opinions of any of these places that others have been to before. First, Colonial Williamsburg was absolutely amazing, even though it rained the whole time we were there. We learned what it was like to be in the military during the American Revolution, and also what the meals and taverns were like. We were also able to explore the city, and figure out how things were made, and how things were done back then. It was truely awesome.Next, Mount Vernon, which I have been to twice now, put me in awe yet again. I can't get over the fact that I stood in the same spot as George Washington! That, and the house is just beautiful, especially the view from the back porch looking out on the Potomac River.I had the same feelings about Monticello as I did about Mount Vernon. The views were amazing, looking down on the landscape from the top of the mountain. I'll have some pictures eventually, if anyone wants me to post them, let me know. Finally, was the original Jamestown (or Yamestowne as it was called back then (they didn't use the letter "j" yet)). It was great hearing about how everything started. How the country started. It was the first permanent settlement in the U.S. made by the British. It great. Well, I'm starting to ramble, so I'll stop now. If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask. ~Nater~
10/29/2008 2:49:10 PM Yea, so it snowed here last night! I woke up this morning, and bam, like a centimeter of snow on the ground! I was so excited!
10/12/2008 7:09:59 AM Well, I'm looking for a new jacket to be used as a snowboarding and winter jacket. I would like to stay under $125, but over by a little bit is no problem. A good waterproof rating is rather important, as it can get rather wet here. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.~Nater43~
10/5/2008 6:18:15 PM Price Range: Below $400 Boot Size: 10.5 Weight: 145lbsHeight: 5'11"I mostly freeride, but I do rails a couple of times per day, and I would like to get more into jumps. I ride on mostly man made snow and ice.  I'm currently looking at the:Burton Custom 157 WideBurton Royale 154Capita Scare/Stairmaster 156Capita Indoor Survival 156Sierra Crew 155Any ideas on which would be best for me. I'm open to more suggestions board-wise as well. Thanks in advance.~Nater~
10/5/2008 4:45:27 PM Well, I'm still debating between snowboards and the Capita snowboards are jumping out at me. Both because they are affordable and seem like they would be good for me. Are they good quality boards? The Stair/Scaremaster, and the Indoor Survival have caught my eye specifically. Again, 5'11'', 145lbs, size 10.5 boots. Freeride board, few jumps, but would like to try more, rails more often. Mostly riding on man made snow or ice.
